Yes.Ghoohg said:So it's kind of unclear, is the main character locked as a Jiralhanae?
True, but they each need specific actions to unlock. If someone changes their vote to let it win, I'll get started on the Google document for it.XenonPrime said:Too many crossover elements can clutter and confuse a quest. Not to mention that Halo has plenty of opportunities for fun tech options.
It would mean that he could have change the races history at earlier points, and he would also have had less access to tech.As a question what would the earlier date choices mean for our character?
Anywhere from sixty to a hundred years.
Not much. It surprisingly has been kept very close to it's tribal roots. You get a group of clans, and the most successful clan takes over all those in the area. It often becomes like a royal family equivalent. But if it doesn't keep it's strength, another clan will challenge it (Something that happens a lot, as the naturally want to fight). Then as number grows, a number of these alpha packs meet, and again the strongest group comes out on top. This continues, until either two equal sides meet, and destroy the other (What happened in cannon) Or till the stronger side wins.
I wouldn't go that far. Brutes at least got space flight going, before bombing themselves to hell.EDIT: Looking over the wiki I've got to say that these guys are worse at civilisation than Krogans.
Yep.The only means I can see of getting any sort of unity would be to adopt a sort of Khanate system. These guys are never going to stop fighting but also take oddly well to dicipline and martial authority. They need a system that can easily splinter and come together based on the tides of war and ability.
IndeedThe current tribe and pack system enourages cooperation at too small a level and seems to prevent any other sort of culture from developing. Not something helped by their violent and mono-focused nature.
Well only the MC has it. But it may be possible to awaken magics in others. Eventually.Terrifying fighters, more so with Gamer magic. Awful at doing anything lasting.
The two races hate each other for a reason. Brutes are superior physical specimens for close combat (Which the sangheili absolutely hate), but their lack of widespread martial discipline across the board means that they'll lose the big battles, and firefights. Difference between romans, and barbarians one could say.The Sangheli could make use of them, if they bothered to take a suitably dominant position and role.
They have a proud warrior culture, and the brutes tribalism, and lack of honor disgusts them, a kind of dark reflection to how they could have turned out.
