    Our protagonist is born into a Golden Age, the likes of which has never been seen before. And one, it's inhabitants fervently believe, will never end.

    It is an age of great empires that sprawl proudly across continents, planes, worlds, or galaxies. No group of people is free from these great civilizations, you are either a citizen or your existence is forever marred by the behemoth over the horizon.

    Powerful leaders command vast resources and dedicate them to feats of magnificence that would have once been considered beyond the reach of mere mortals as the learned of this age challenge the heavens themselves in their unquenchable thirst for knowledge that every day takes them further and faster into the unknown.

    Vast cities teem with inhabitants from all across creation and run gold with wealth of all nations as the artists of the time draw from the traditions of all lands and peoples.

    Despite the magnificence of this era, this is not yet a time of stagnation or decay, and adventure still lurks just out of sight for those with the wit and mind to seek it.

    Our protagonist will be one such woman, driven to adventure by the need to challenge herself and all the world around her.

    In this setting, great strides in technology have created a Golden age where science has brought the cosmos to its knees. Sickness, poverty, hunger have all been, or could be, solved with the snap of the fingers in this setting, technological miracles merely being a fact of life. As well, Interstellar travel has rendered even the void between the stars quotidian.

    The promise of technology has opened up vast possibilities, perhaps cyborgs walk side by side with the genetically augmented as uploaded minds and AI flit through vast computer networks.

    This Golden Age could be one of computers and starships, cyborgs and aliens, nanotechnology and megastructures.

    [ ] …Arcane Magic and Wonder

    In this setting he arcanely inspired mind can shape the world to its will. Prosperity reigns, the worlds or planes of this Era live in an age of wonders called up from the arcane. Though this era's inhabitants may live in the same villages and cities as their ancestors, the widespread magic of this era grants them ease and luxury once thought fantastical.

    Magic rules supreme and perhaps the powers of what were once worshipped as gods are now equalled or eclipsed by the power of mages and sorceresses.

    Perhaps this Golden Age will be one of elementals and golems, mages and spirits, artifacts and gods.

    [ ] …Gods, Swords, and Empires

    Though magic maybe be rare, an observer could be forgiven for thinking it omnipresent when they gaze upon the works of this era's great civilizations: strong walls that cut across continents, cities of millions fed by far flung provinces, golden palaces filled with the wealth of the world, and inexhaustible armies with swords and spears glinting in the high sun of the Golden Age.

    Perhaps these empires are matched only by the strength of the god(s) that they worship, Divine beings interested in the lives of mortals.

    This Golden Age could be one of Gods and Empires, Swords and Spears, Trade Caravans and Vast Legions.

    [ ] …Globe Spanning Gunpowder Empires

    In this setting the world is dominated by great Empires that rely upon their technological strengths. This may not be an age of magical or technological miracles, but it is a golden age nonetheless as vast empires and trade networks knit together all the peoples of the world and sees their wealth flow.

    This age may still possess magic, technological wonders, and divine blessing, but just not to the miraculous extent enjoyed by other settings. This Golden age, more than any other is truely an Age of Gold

    This Golden Age may be one of cannons and bayonets, vast riches and stolen crowns, philosophy and inquiry.

    Don't take any details presented in these options as being definitive. Remember that we're working from broad strokes inwards, and details are always subject to change when they're directly addressed.

    Feel free to write in your own aesthetic and vibe, mix and match to your heart's content, maybe a space operatic setting of crystal magic technology is more your speed. Just make sure that the write in is the same length as the base options. (110 words)
