Regarding setting, I don't really have a preference. Whenever I think of one of the worlds I know, my mind goes "eh, doesn't really fit JoJo".

Although putting JoJo into a magical girl show could be fun. It is also one of the few genres that do even half the posing neccessary.

It can, to an extent, be taught. And genetic memory means that it can be passed on at a limited degree depending on some things.

^We will end up picking new traits for new Jojos. However, there are ways to pass some traits to next gen. Unless we have genetic memory, you will have to spend points again.

Also, if you have trouble with making a stand, you can always just use some stand generator.

Just pointing out some setting options that I know of. Heck it's a better choice than Nanoha or Log Horizon(I'm vetoing this choice before anyone picks it on the grounds I don't think I could do it justice.)

As i said, it's pretty good all around.

.. although now that i think about Dresden would be fun.

But then again, so would many others. Better to just focus on one setting before we start throwing around ideas.
 
Well so far there's not much consensus on setting, so if you can come up with something else that I know enough(or I think I can pull off) and get some others to agree to it then there you go. Also as a reminder the Kane Chronicles is in the same universe running parallel to PJO.

That's fine, also you need to specify what the Jojo is going to be running like say a government, a guild, corporation... Also for Percy Jackson think a little Harry Potter(adolescent who finds out they're special, prophecy, battles between good and evil) and Scion(the old myths are real and stride across the world to this day in relative secrecy, with a primary focus on greek/roman mythology in Percy Jackson's case,) heck to help fill up the universe I was thinking of tapping Scion for more material if PJO won. But I can work either way.
 
Oh boy a Jojo Dynasty game! I don't think I'll participate in character/world creation but I'll definitely take part from after that on :cool:
 
But what if the setting ended up as "LotR style-fantasy" and people have voted for a corperation? I mean, there are certain tpyes of governance that just wouldn't make sense in certain settings.

Then you'd be more of a merchant prince if, I allowed it. Besides there are some fantasy settings I've come across where there are corporations...can't think of any that are published though.

Percy Jackson is a fun universe to play in, and having Gods, Demigods, and Titans running around should be an excellent challenge for pulling off Crazy Jojo Plans against :D
 
Well we have till a somewhere after midnight. Also if scifi weaponry is the only reason some settings are chosen I'm going to say right now you can get crazy/weird weaponry depending on what choices are made when it comes time to pick traits(like ripple blasters or spin lightning guns.)
