Izuku 1/2 (Ranma/MHA)

So im guessing at some point in the past Shampoo tried to use Spring Water on Akane so that she couldn't get pregnant.

i think it is more horrifying than that. From the sounds of it Akane was pregnant when she was cursed and when Shampoo cursed her the transformation cause the developing fetus out of her body prematurely, killing it when it could no long feed off Akane via it's umbilical cord. This is why Akane is stockpiling waterproof soap, so she can carry a child to term without danger of transforming. From the sounds of it they do have a method to hold a curse form while pregnant (possibly they are in possession of or have access to the Musk's locking ladle & liberation kettle.) which would allow Ranma to carry their child instead.

the incident looks to have permanently broken Shampoo's claim to Ranma's hand. Mousse seems to have lost all infatuation with Shampoo and possibly is angered at the Amazon tribe for what ever deal they struck for Shampoo's life given his reluctance to return to China. Cologne seems to have taken exile either voluntarily or involuntarily and some of Mousse's family joined her. We will have to see how cordial or hostile their relationship with the Saotome's is. I do wonder who 'Ranma' with Shampoo is.

given we have seen Nabiki I wonder what Kasumi is now doing. Did she follow her dream to be a medic?

It's not that bad. Akane wasn't pregnant when cursed. If she was, Ranma would have killed Shampoo. No ands, ifs, or buts. I did have Ranma state "we didn't lose anyone, it's okay" after the nightmare, but I'll get into the meat of the situation as the story develops.

But Shampoo did intend it as a wrench into Akane's plans to have a big family, and it did sort of spiral into where things are. You're pretty spot on with Cologne and Mousse though.

Shampoo's "Ranma", as a hint, is a canon character from the manga, from the locking ladle arc. They only were in two pages or so, but are pretty important to the story arc.

So it was just a nightmare not a memory. That's a relief. Still terrifying but not as scaring .

Honestly given how malicious the curse seems to be- and knowing Ranma's general luck- I think he'd have better chances carrying to term than Akane. Still, it's a horrifying realization for her to go through and I have to feel for her: losing potential family uncontrollably cuts deep.

On more light-hearted topics, though, does anyone have any bets on when the first time Izuku goes on a training journey is?

Jesus that chapter was dark and horrifying in its implications. Thankfully not as dark as it implied due to Word of Author, but still pretty dark. Like how Shampoo locked an animal to raise as Ranma, which is pretty messed up.

To be fair Shampoo was one of the most broken people in that series honestly, she was damaged goods that just got worse as time went on.

I could totally see this going way worse and far more crazy.

There is precisely one time interacting with shampoo didn't end poorly for Ranma in the Manga, and that is the first confrontation with Taro. Every other time, every single bleeping time, it ends with ranma hurt or traumatized or going cat or one of the people he cares about hurt.

they need a surrogate and one of those artificial eggs they developed that are made from a stem cell and it doesn't matter if the donor is male or female... my mind just went somewhere how would the two curses interact in that case in the developing embryo.
