2. Super Power is treated like an Advanced skill, correct? So that if I purchased Special Ability 1 with War Hero, I'd still have to put in a second point to actually get the Super Power?

Sorry, that was another typo.

And you're essentially correct, except that as I have been repeating in the post you need to also buy Special Power and then buy the actual power.

Improving any Basic Skill is New Rank x 5 in Improvement Points. Advanced Skills, Super Powers and Special Abilities are New Rank x 3 in Improvement points. Improving Characteristics costs New Rank x 10 in Improvement Points.

Edit: Got my hands on a copy of the book. The lack of stats on so many of the weapons is extremely irritating. As it stands, equipment loadout is as follows.
