She widened her eyes in response "Why?"

"Because I've abandoned my country as well... for the sake of my own freedom, to cement my own path, unrestricted by major political power and the strength they offer"

Charles: "... you ignored the offer to become a cadet rep?! I thought it's just a silly rumor-"

"And ignore the offer to use a prototype cutting edge machine tailored to my style... working with Kuromachi engineering, #1 I.S. development contractor in Japan. Instead, I work with Iguchi, the quirky bottom liner of Japan's weapon industry"

She muttered again "....Ah, so that's why I heard there's a mild political unrest..."

Charles: "Anyway, my mission, do you want to know everything about it? Don't worry, I won't lie anymore... I'm just... tired of this..."

I personally thought this is unwise, you know well how much politic (albeit the idiot kind) involved in this quest.

Technially, shouldn't that be for her to decide? You did just make her say she's sick of it all.

Wonder if we could ask Chifuyu a way to twist a country's arm...

Well, unlike Ichika, she don't have this little privilege of male I.S. pilot.

Ichika can get away with the shit he pulled because literal double standard + Chifuyu's initial support.

Again, if we reveal it (to entire school, not the harem circle), I expect the council to have ideas how to deal with the fallout.

Right. Nothing bad actually happened, right? So maybe something around "We can squash the whole thing so long as nothing happen to her. Sure, you get some embarrassment once the news about her get out, but you sure you want the WHOLE truth to be out?"

To cement uniformity and strengthen the bond, a competition is held to choose the next model of mass production unit. This competition is called Ignition Plan, the kick-starting sequence of European generational shift.

Currently, there are three unit registered. Blue Tears from England, Bodewig's personal unit from Germany, and another unit currently being developed in Italy.

However, Dunois corp unable to convince the rest of the member to allow Raphael to compete.

Charles: "Indeed... Raphael came both too early and too late... launched at the same time as conception of third generation unit, in the end it's treated as nothing but stopgap. And with the deadline coming even closer, it's possible that French government will lose trust and kicked us from the position of France's mainline military industry"

"And pray tell, why they even bother to send you as a male? I'm sure it's not the publicity... at least not internationally."


Charles: "It's common knowledge that White Knight is nothing but obsolete unit... and yet... you had magnificently prove that we're wrong."

You nodded "The imperfection of First Generation mech"

Charles: "Indeed, many of the system had yet to be implemented back then. Professor Shinonono never truly reveal anything about I.S., and every single I.S. existing currently, and even the decommissioned ones, are reverse engineered from White Knight's frame."

Charles: "Raphael Revive being the first I.S to advertise flawless air combat maneuver, and combined with modularity, is the reason why it's hauled as third most produced and operated I.S. frame in the world. However, White Knight always have that ability from the start... it's inferiority is nothing but a result of propaganda"


Charles: "Dunois want to know if White Knight has more things to offer... they hoped that, by gaining that secret they can develop another unit, or modify Raphael into unique entity that can stood proudly against it's rival units in the competition"

"Now that it's brought into service again, more chance to gather data huh..."

Charles: "That's about the details on my mission... Ichika, as for what's next... it's really up to you"
