Some say that it is bound forever, others that it is merely biding its time. And there are others who say that the lineage has made a deal with the Sinister Powers, and have been granted a powerful servant from below or above.
[x] She could hardly even call it a mansion. More like a medieval castle brought straight out of a fairytale. Ten stories tall, victorian in design, white marble walls, long double windows, and large tracts of land made up the entire estate. That's before she took note of the three extensions that sat in the shadow of the main building. Most others would consider that superfluous, even among the High Class Citizens. But that word held no meaning to this family. And why should it? They were the one percent of the one percent. Such affluence only comes once in a lifetime, and these people were blessed to obtain it. [X] The mansion was of normal size and more in line with her expectations. There were quite a few acres of land, all green and well cared for by some very diligent servant. The building itself was about five stories tall , with white walls that had at least seven windows across each floor, and with one extension that sat in the field awaiting for the time it was needed. It's quite obvious that this family is well off, but not to the extent of the White family. -[X] Appears to be human, but is more than that. It is not an uncommon occurrence. In fact, the so called "superhumans" have started to become more and more prominent in everyday life. But...they say that this butler isn't just superhuman. They are the superhuman. They are said to have power that completely eclipses all other supers in the world. Some say they are the very first one to ever appearon earth, and have been able to hide their age all this time. Others say thatthey are a new type of superhuman, created specifically to defend this family.
[X] The mansion was small compared to others that she had seen. It was only two stories high, where most were at least four or five. The structure was made out of plain brown bricks, where most others were of an off white color. She could only see about three windows at the front of it. Of course, what could she expect from a family so obscure? Brittney didn't even know they existed before a few days ago when her father told her about their lineage. From what he told her they are High Class in name only, and hardly able to afford their lifestyle. Still, they get by some how and their name still carries weight. (Low Money Reserves; Low High Class; Low Notoriety and Reputation; Very few Suitors/Assassins/Thieves/Etc)

Brittney keeps her hands folded on her lap, a glass of wine ready and waiting on the round glass table in front of her. Sunlight reflects off of the perfectly polished glass, matching the entire room's aesthetic. The floors were made of marble, however it shined as if it were silver. It made the floors, literally, look good enough to eat off of.
That's to say nothing of the walls. They were all black in color, off setting the white of the floor, and seemed to be of a strange type of wood. Lady White couldn't place what the wood was called, but she was sure it must've cost the family quite a lot.
Then again, it is obvious they can afford it.
The roof was made of the same material as the walls, and from it hung a chandelier that bathe the entire room in the rays coming from the open balcony doors. White doves flew by chirping in the early morning. The Lady saw one land on the arm of her velvet seat, its small talons tapping away at the upholstery. It flew away when the Lady tried to touch it, heading out to rejoin its flock.
Over the balcony, Brittney observed a cornucopia of colorful foliage. She saw flowers of all kinds. Roses, daisies, blue bonnets, and even a Ghost Orchid! She felt tempted to step outside, just to look at all of the wonderful vegetation up close. However, she kept herself in check. It would do her no good if she were caught admiring the wealth of another family...at least not at this junction.
She still had appearances to keep up after all. However, she did call her servant over and ordered him to remind her about obtaining rare flowers of her own.
But among all of this, the thing that drew her attention the most was the mural.
It hung over over the largest wall of the room, reaching all the way to both doors on the east and west side. It was made of the same wood as the walls, but it had obviously been given much more care. The chisel work was flawless, not even one part of the artwork was tainted by a broken piece. It had been sanded down so much, that White could swear it was just made yesterday. Every part of it came to life as she looked upon the creation with awe. It had the kind of power that dominated all basking within its presence.
As Lady White studied the creation, she realized that it wasn't just some beatific chisel work. All of the images were placed in a deliberate fashion. They were all set up to tell something...to tell a story.
With a new found curiosity, Brittney focused upon the mural and read the story of:
[] A Knight and a Dragon. A Knight rides to kill a deadly wyrm. He instead meets a wizened old dragon, and a life long friend.
[] A Girl and a Fae. A girl runs off into the woods, following the lights that dance in the moonlight. She meets a Queen and receives a blessing from the Folk that can bend reality to their will.
[] A Wizard and a Devil. A mage summons forth a demon from the pits of Hell itself. What starts as an uneasy alliance, becomes a bond stronger than any other.
[] An Outcast and a Djinn. Cast out from their village, a woman finds an artifact of a bygone era. With it, she gained a guardian bound to serve her and her lineage for eons to come.
[] A Boy and a Revenant. A spirit, unable to find peace among the living, about to fall into madness and despair. One child brought it back from the brink, and it swears eternal loyalty to the boy's family.
Brittney White is so enraptured with the picture, that she does not notice when her hostess finally enters the room.
"Lady White," she hears a smooth, even voice call her name. Jumping a little in surprise she turns to see—

—standing in the middle of room. Next to them stands what can only be the Mistress of the House.
[] She wears a knee length blue dress, with a that is covered in smooth, embroidered silk. Her face is set in a plain smile, one that remains unobscured by her well kept, shoulder length, black hair. It is a friendly smile, but it has an edge to it that makes White feel like a fly caught in a web. It isn't help by her dark green eyes that glint in the sunlight.
[] Her attire is...flamboyant to say the least. It is red, orange, and purple all at the same time, with a wide skirt that covers up everything but her ankles. Her hair is a bright white and pink, tied up in a single ponytail that reaches her shoulders. Golden earrings dangle from her ears, accentuating the wide smile on her face. The smile is one of innocence and childlike wonderment that takes Lady White aback slightly. The Mistress's red eyes sparkle with barely suppressed energy.
[] It's not what she is wearing that sticks out, but how she wears it. It is nothing really special, just a plain beige dress that reaches her knees. It's her expression that truly captures Lady White's attention. The Mistress has the brown eyes of one who is not to be trifled with. They glare at her contemptuously, as if White had just interrupted an important meal the Mistress was having. Her brown hair has been held into a topknot, while her mouth is set in a thin line of unamusement.
The servant bows low and speaks in a grand voice, "I present to you, Lady—"
Sorry it took a bit. I couldn't decide how detailed I wanted the first choice to be. I wasn't sure whether it should be extremely detailed, or just a few sentences.
Any way, explanations:
The first choice will decide two things. The first will be what you are. This will mostly decide what type of powers you have, how other such servants/people will react to you, and will influence your Oath (why you are serving this family). The second will be the family's Scion. Who your Mistress' great-great-great-great-great-great grandparent was. This will mainly affect how other families view yours, and what kind of history it has.
The second choice is pretty self-explanatory. Are you a butler or a maid? Won't really have much of an effect on the story.
The third choice will describe your Mistress a bit. This will decide some of her personality traits, how she reacts to other High Class individuals, and a bit of how she reacts to certain situations. The first option means she wears a mask to fool everyone into thinking she's innocent and naive, when really she's got everyone in the palm of her hands. The second option is a more eccentric, upbeat, and childlike Mistress, but she has some hidden depths that only you know about. The last option is a more cold and calculating Mistress, one who has no time for pleasantries and skips straight to the point.
The fourth choice is the name of your Mistress and the House name.

@LinkOnScepter If we went with Djinn, would we be serving the family because the origional lady wished for that? Because I don't like the idea of us being a loyal servant because we HAVE to, and much prefer the Djinn who grant wishes out of thankfulness rather than some contractual obligation.

That'll be your choice in the next update. I purposely left the first choices vague, so that when it comes to why you are serving the family it is of your own Will.
To put it simply, none of the choices are going to force you to serve the family. It is all of your own Will. The why will be decided in the next, and last, update.
