In Fine, Solum Est Tibi (A Quest in Rome, During The Fall of the Republic)

Not quite sure how a sit-at-home hubby who never takes a step in the cursus honorum will boost our rep in the Senate, but my position stands. I don't care for a dull push-over.;)
Admittedly I want a character who's as functionally independent as possible. And if someone says then vote for a man I'm gonna deck them. But admittedly that's an issue for later We don't know what our marriages options are right now

Mother fucker, the slave roll I just did was amazing, turns out Dad spent all the money you had on not only books and scrolls, but on slaves and chattel.
Thanks dad, that's incredibly useful considering our land is complete shit.

Actually is probably still considerably useful in one way or another.

Considering that the slave roll also include tutors, scribes, gladiators, actual bodyguards and personal assistants, in addition to chattel working on our lands...

Lets just say that the retinue that we have gained a significant roll bonus to it, when I finally get around to doing the roll for that.

Because roll explosions are a thing.

And nat 100's give very good stuff.

Sooo, what I'm getting is that we should focus on industry.

Since our land is apparently shit for farming but we'll have a good workforce.

Edit: Or we could go into horse breeding, since horses are expensive.

Try a highly-skilled, highly diverse and very well educated bunch of people that, for some fucking reason...

Really like you.

Roll to Die...

Wow, a more effective tag if I have ever seen one...

Well, at least for all this crap, I will say this:

with your luck, lets just be happy that I'm doing most of the rolls for awhile.

All I have to say is this.

Dad certainly knew how to pick em... or train them.

Or otherwise get a key return on his investment.

Edit: The Magoose dice everyone.

THey are bullshit.

Do we have Spartacus in our "employ"?

If we have to marry, prefer absolute pushover.
And that is exactly what I DON'T want.

I like Character-Interactions between married People that go into more depth then the "Honey, it's time for X'/'Yes, dear...'" Wojack-Meme.
Also, I'm a sucker for functional Power Couples, I will freely admit.

And I still don't believe we would inevitably make this Quest less about us just because we marry someone. Though that depends on who we marry, I suppose.

Fair, admittedly I just want to avoid repeating what happened with Napoleon, while that was fine for that quest I don't want to be part of another power couple with a famous person.

Oh come on my friend, we have better then that gladiator who will lead an uprising and die to some noname commander just after glory.

We have so much better.

Now I'm not saying we have a Severin, but do have a Davout in our employ.

I will only say this:

It will be entirely up to you, and I will make sure your non historical suitors will be just as badass and competent as others.

Once again, it's entirely up to you.

And I want to keep it that way.

Unless you all force my hand with bullshit.

I don't really want to be married. Not sure how feasible that is.
Regretfully Roman inhertiance laws will completely ruin us if we don't. I imagine at least one of our suitors will treat things as just a business transaction and won't bother us too much.

So good news is with so many high quality slaves we'll almost certainly be able to find and a loyal and highly skilled slave suitable to managing our estate so we could in theory focus our efforts elsewhere on other pursuits.
