Either that, or they knew in advance what the setting probably was due to having paid more attention and letting their contexts bleed through across threads.
I have plenty of ideas of what the settings could be, but none can be proven to the point of satisfaction.

Guys, the voice just said we arrived a Tokyo-3. That is a pretty big hint. Also we arrived on a train and the automated station announcer just got cut off mysteriously (presumably at midnight).
If you can't figure it out from those hints then you probably haven't seen the source material.
