-[X] It's not a question of materials, it's a question of tactics. If one becomes predictable, the enemy will develop methods of counteraction. A cheap and numerous enemy is a good alternative in assault tactics, or if you need to hide something from the enemy under the cover of a lot of metal.

-[X] They're weak in a direct comparison to other options, but just by existing on the board they can do a useful job in making the enemy have to plan around them, alloting forces to that otherwise may have made things more difficult for stronger units to supress the Dinergates instead. And if the enemy doesn't care enough to stop them? They hardly have to be strong to wreak havoc if the enemy is letting them do it.

- [X] Write-in: They get shredded by any kind of explosives and Griffin has access to cheap air support drones with cluster munition payloads. Keep in mind that military combat walkers have area effect weapons as part of their loadout and the basic military grunt robot also comes with a grenade launcher as standard. Simply not useful, at least in the way they're usually used. If they're only usable against improperly equipped PMC irregulars, that's not exactly a mark of usefulness. The only thing is that they're really, really cheap and simple to fabricate. Basically they only make sense if you have access to fabrication capability to replace your losses in combat time.

-[x] "Some missions require bait, while others need a large hostile presence placed between the enemy and their objective to encourage the enemy to go around or commit heavily to an assault, both of which sets them up to taken out on more ideal terms. Their rarely the linchpin to any competent plan, but their will always be some use for them in a missions parameters if you bother looking. Hail the noble pawn, glorious in death, or in reaching the other side of a battle intact despite it's shortcomings."
