In all seriousness, I'm fine with either body type. An overweight PC just sounded more interesting to me; I'd guess it determines our insecurities and such.

I chose cooking because it struck me as easier to post images of food rather than doodles and sketches. Also, I'm kinda hungry.

The crush is a little tough to decide, since we don't have much to go on, but I figured it'd be nice to be in the same class. And everyone knows the childhood friend never wins!

I'm mostly just wondering what sexuality the romance will be. Either way is fine for me though.

Why can't it be both? It is entirely possible that he has been suggesting that we join for a while, and we are just now acquiescing because we are seeing the benefits it might provide. Our MC wants to reinvent themselves, and has chosen to do it through some sort of sport: why shouldn't it be one with a friend who has been bugging us to join anyways?

Edit: Ninja'd. Surprising how similar his reply was to my first sentence, haha.

It's a different nuance. You decide to reinvent yourself, so you do what someone has told you to do vs you decide something on your own. *shrug*
