Edit: Someone please tell me what the name of the male and female symbol is, I am going to lose my mind trying to figure it out.
I usually call them that. male and female symbols. But a quick search says the Male symbol is supposedly called Mars and the Female one Venus. Dont know if that's true though.

Oh I know what the male and female symbols are. What I am ripping my hair out about is what on earth the symbol for Male and Female (the one that indicates heterosexual relationships) is called.

There's not a name for them. They're old astrological symbols for the planets Venus and Mars that Carl Linnaeus arbitrarily correlated with gender

Edit: To clarify, as far as I know the symbols are called "Venus" and "Mars". The Mars symbol has associations with iron in alchemy and I think the Venus symbol has associations with copper.

I know that (though I wouldn't say it's too arbitrary since Venus is the goddess of beauty and Mars is the god of War which are stereotypical gender roles for them), I'm just trying to figure out the name of the symbol that combines them both.

The intersex symbol could work
Thanks, I'll try it. :)

Edit: Didn't work. :V

Sorry for the late response, it took me a while to read through the whole pitch.

"Man, fuck this guy" is the response to Starline I was hoping you'd provoke in me. And man, fuck this guy. I'll tell you right now, you're not gonna need to worry about Story for this game.
Can you increase it a plus 5. Bonuses that aren't multiples of 5 scares me.
But consider, a bonus of +69 isn't a multiple of 5, and yet it could lead to wondrous results. More seriously, I guess it does make it easier on everyone to keep the math simple when there's this many bonuses to add up, so I suppose I can.
Also, @Small Nerd, is Vangelis now viable as a Composer for Cyber Crisis? :V
I suppose I can see an argument for the game being an interesting project for him. How to capture this particular kind of urban/societal decay in musical form and all.
Also cyber city VN jumpscare. Duke promised me their firstborn

I feel like there's a good "some choccy milk because you're epic" joke here, but I can't think of anything. You get +10 to reception for Cyber Crisis.
L: Side note, we really hope Vyse isn't the name this thing will be released under...
It's just a codename I'm using as a placeholder until I decide on a name I like. I'm happy to take suggestions on the console's final name if you have any.
Also, I will post another fanfic omake that is basically the opposite of this thirst fic, i.e. turning Starline into a punching bag so that he suffers.
Oh thank goodness it's not just gonna be thirstposting. You get +15 to your choice between reception and profit for Cyber Crisis.
(Side note: I am gonna have to ask that the game doesn't have "Resistance" in the title since "Sonic: Resistance: Cyber Crisis" is just unwieldy)
Yeah, this brings back memories of when I had a Tumblr account. Extremely cursed, 10 out of 10. You get +15 to your choice between profit and reception for Cyber Crisis.

Okay, I think that's everything that's been posted since the Cyber Crisis pitch dropped into the thread. Now I can go put it in the Idea Bank with what bonuses the pitch itself gets.

Thank you, I'm very happy about being able to ellicit thay reaction from you. :D

On it, boss. O7

If I did my math right, I had a bonus of +70 before that story; so no 69 (ha) bonus. I'll be sure to do that if I do a sonic high school 2

So it'd now be 73 or 75.

If I did my math right; I should also have 75 for visuals too. So one more omake for both and both should be The Good Shit(TM)

To: Mark Cerny
From: SEGA of America Management
Subject: "Vyse" Game engine

Mark Cerny,

A financial analysis indicates that the Concord Engine making the Concord appealing to third-party developers has been a major asset. A repeat of this advantage is something we want for future SEGA hardware.

Given the new "Vyse" console in the works, you and your team at Sega Technical Institute are being tasked with development of a general-purpose game engine fitting the anticipated needs of first-party and third-party developers on the new platform. Compatibility with the successor to the Coast is also highly desirable.

Funding for this project has already been allocated, and you have elevated priority for communications with the hardware team developing the "Vyse".

Sincerely, SEGA of America Management

"We can't just call it Concord Engine 2, can we?"

"There's a type of grape called Concord? We can call it the Grape Engine."

"Sure, let's go with that."

...

"So, I figured out a way to future-proof the Grape Engine, to a degree. See, we've got the core of the engine - maybe call it the vine? - and then there's selectable modules that change how the game compiles so as to run properly on different hardware."

"That sounds like a major headache to develop. That said, it may very well be worth it."

...

"So, we've made modules for the Concord, Coast, Vyse, Coast 2, and Windows PCs. I'm tempted to make modules for Linux and Apple machines, just because we've got the time."

"I say go for it."

To: Mark Cerny
From: SEGA of America Management
Subject: Grape Engine

Mark Cerny,

Your team has done excellent work on the Grape Engine; developer teams using it have reported very high satisfaction with its capabilities and features, along with its ease of use. The module system used for platform compatibility is also truly inspired.

Given the high quality of work Sega Technical Institute has done on game engines two hardware generations in a row, STI can expect consistent work on developer tools going forwards. The fact that the engine is compatible with PC games is also of great interest; we're currently in the process of working out appropriate licensing terms with Legal.

Sincerely, SEGA of America Management

(wikipedia article excerpt)

Following on from the success of the Concord Engine, SEGA began an effort to ensure that their new console (the SEGA Horizon) launched with similarly high-quality tools available to developers. SEGA Technical Institute was given the task on account of their prior success with the Concord Engine, which proved a wise decision.

The result of this endeavor was the Grape Engine, which improved on the Concord Engine in every possible way. The fact that the Grape Engine also supported PC Games provided another revenue stream for SEGA, which they made ready use of.

This excellent quality of work assured the continued existence of SEGA Technical Institute for the foreseeable future, as it became SEGA's main division for developer tools and game engine development. That said, this persistent workload meant SEGA Technical Institute largely stopped making actual games, except as the result of partnerships.

The Grape Engine quickly became one of the mainstay game engines for third-party and independent game developers just on account of its sheer quality and versatility - which directly lead to a major lawsuit when "homebrew" modules for Grape Engine games on competitor consoles entered circulation. After several protracted legal battles, SEGA began officially supporting competing consoles for the Grape Engine, and reshuffled their licensing terms - which resulted in all involved parties making more money than they did before, but also bruised several egos.

Since the Grape Engine's initial release, it has been significantly upgraded and refined; as of 2019, the Grape Engine is on Grapevine 4, while its modules have also been significantly improved in terms of performance optimization and error handling.

Classic Man D's Favorite Non-Eggman Sonic Villain New
Classic Man D: Who is your favorite non-Eggman Sonic Villain?

AstralZone

$1,000.00

Who is your favorite non-Eggman Sonic Villain?

(CoD zombie scream)

Well, folks, it's about that time and AstralZone, you are a GOD!!!! And they want to know who my favorite Sonic Villain besides Eggman is hands down. I am literally struggling to get my thoughts together, you are for real loved and appreciated, man.

As to who my favorite non-Eggman villain is, I've got to give it to Dr. Starline. Starline is what you would get if a James Bond villain got lost on his way to a James Bond movie and found himself in the Sonic universe, and I am here for it. Hengot the drip of a Bond villain, the class of a Bond villain, and most importantly, the insane genius plans of a Bond villain.

Just in Cyber Crisis alone, this guy was an utter menace. Bro really spent millions if not billions of dollars building an entire city on the moon just so that he could watch Sonic fight. Just the twist that Starline was a villain could have been enough, but Daichi said "Nah, let me twist the knife some more" and hit us with both the Kit sleeper agent reveal and the fact that Starline has been watching Sonic and his friends since the first ever Sonic game. This man is out here hypothesizing who Sonic might hook up with in high school, ah, hell naw, this some freaky ah shit! Starline needs every restraining order thrown at him. And then, the game hits us with another reveal that Starline was the one who turned Triptych insane before slamming us with yet another reveal that he created Tangle as a way to create his own version of Sonic. Then, as if we hadn't had enough, Starline gets away with all of it in the end! Bro congratulates Sonic for saving the city with a straight face before hitting him with the coldest monologue about how he's gonna get away with everything due to the fact they don't have any hard evidence against him. This man just traumatized an entire city, turned everyone in it against each other, and casually walked away like he'd just washed the dishes.

And this is just his first appearance, I haven't even talked about the later games!

And let me tell you, the reveal that Starline was a villain put the Sonic fanbase into a damn chokehold with how good it was: you either loved him, hated him, or wanted him to choke you. Sometimes all three! It's gotten to the point where Starline has been compared to the likes of Darth Vader and Hannibal Lecter for greatest villain of all time, that's how much aura this guy has!

Yeah, Starline easily takes the dub for me.

A/N:

An omake about one of my favorite YouTubers talking about Starline. @Small Nerd, plz reward.

Hey did we ever figure out what tails knuckles and Amy look like? Like I remember a discussion but I don't remember if we ever came to a decision
As far as I know, there was never a consensus on what they'd look like in 3D, but if people come to an agreement on their designs, I'm willing to retcon things so that whatever "modern" designs you agree on have actually been how they've looked like ever since Chaos Rising and it just never came up before.
This is interesting. I don't want to canonize this unless people are okay with STI just not being a source of more first-party Sega games in this timeline (and I still need to decide on the new console's final name anyway), but regardless, you get +10 to Functionality for the game of your choice.

J: Well presumably Tails has his gunbelt with him most of the time, since Synthetic Invasion.

J: Hey everyone, what's your thoughts on STI becoming the Game Engine Department?

For a marketing idea for Cyber City, we could have a completion where fans can create and submit their OC gangsters to the Sonic team, one or two of which would be added into the game and made canon in the Sonic universe.

Yeah I like those and honestly I've kind of been imagining them when reading through the pitches

I think Tails might have some goggles and maybe an aviation jacket, the latter appears in Tails Sky Patrol in the beginning I think.
Oh yeah forgot about that but yeah I'd be fine with that
