Do note that it will take you several hours, possibly the entire day, to repair the disguise and configure it to human-like disguise.

Prologue: arrival: part II
Overall, it's an easy decision.

you can't stay here. the first thing the man will do, after calming down, will be telling other people. people who will come back to check. which is not good for avoiding attention. no.

going out to the street might give you more freedom, but it's an even worse option. every person there is bound to scream at your blue skin and alien nature. you will get detected immediately, and you don't want to get detected.

so your first priority will be to fix the disguise ommiter, so you will be able to walk around. it won't be easy though, you will need the fitting tools and a lot of time, and you have neither now, so your only option will be to climb and sneak through the roofs

athletics DC 20: 19+8=27. success

the task turns out to be quite easy. the buildings here are not very tall, ranging from three to five levels, which you easily scale with your strong trained body. you turn to the back of the alley, as your mental sense suggests lighter movement and lower buildings beyond the back building. using the small windows and clothing ropes to your advantage as you easily scale the ten meters wall. from there, you first of all turn to exploit your better viewpoint in order see the city.

it seems the 100 year old reports were not fully accurate. while the planet is certainly primitive, they seem to have advanced quite a lot, with what looks like ancient oil fueled vehicles move in the streets in rather large numbers, rather than the expected wagons and horses. such developments indicate late industrialization, if you remember correctly, and so do the electricity lines ranging through the streets. you store the information for later, but you need to focus on the immediate.

the alley looks to be leading to a main street, with multiple people dressed in heavy coats and wide hats roaming the path along with multiple of the fuel vehicles- cars you think. getting such a coat is another major objective. it is far too cold for your thin clothes, and you will not likely survive long without heating.

you count the rest of your objectives. you need to find shelter and fix your disguise. with it and some fitting clothes you will fit in much better. you need a way to get food and water, as well as tend to other basic needs. you need info on this place, and to find out whether there is a way off this planet or you are stuck here until someone comes to rescue you.

first thing is shelter. shelter will defend you from you from the cold better than a coat, and will allow you to rest, plan ahead and fix your disguise. you will need to get out eventually, but first thing first.

beyond the street, there seems to be an industrial area, with multiple workers milling around large smoking buildings .far too many people, tall buildings, and general noise to be a good option, and you are unlikely to find somewhere to hide there. the other side is much better. you are overlooking a large neighborhood spreading out away from the main street. the area is full of three-level buildings, uniform in concrete and brown brick structure made of concrete and brown bricks. little movement around it now, as it seems most of the denizens are already off to work. perfect for you. you head in that direction.

leaping from building to building turns out not too hard. not great ease, maybe, but using your telekinesis you can create some paths in places where the gap is too wide to jump, sometimes using your natural agility to walk on tight surfaces from place to place, but you encounter no real trouble.

you stop suddenly on a low roof when you feel a couple of presences nearby. while the neighborhood is relatively empty at this time, you felt some people here and there, women staying in the houses, or the occasional person wandering the streets still. but those presences are different. one is alarmed, even scared. the other four are a mix of anger, satisfaction, and violent intent. trouble.

you change your course quickly, traveling on the roofs toward the presences. it does not take you long to cross the three buildings separating you from them and reach a small porch overlooking the incident.

stealth vs perception: 5+8=13 vs 5+???=???. 2 degrees of success for Selar.

staying undetected, you watch, and you don't like what you see. four well-built men, with defensive vests and holding what you would guess are long primitive firearms, surround a young woman, probably about twenty, dressed in . the said woman is trying to retreat, but is having her way blocked time after another. a terrified expression is on her face, though mixed with anger too. "leave me alone you scum!" the men laugh." we will teach you how to treat your betters, rat, and so we shall teach your father" . another man closes in, hitting her with the handle of his gun, and the girl clutches her head as she is thrust ahead and barely avoids collapsing on the street floor. the others point their guns at the whirling woman as the man who hit her now holds her hand, leaving his rifle hanging from a belt tied to his neck.

you need to intervene. you can't leave the poor woman like this. but this will also reveal you, which you don't like at all.

[]jump into the street and stop those bullies. damn stealth. you are not letting them do this to her.
[]avoid. you are sorry for the woman, but you can't risk it. she will have to take care of herself. leave, and continue to search for shelter.

I think you may have messed up on the rolls in the spoilers.

Prologue: arrival part III
Damn it. You are undisguised, barely dressed, and you should not expose yourself. You needed to keep stealthy, find shelter, repair your disguise, and camouflage yourself. You needed to be stealthy.

You tug your hair a bit and release your sword a bit. Damn you, damn stealth, you can't just leave her like that. You have got to help her.

You jump off the porch, landing with a quick roll, your sword handle already in your hand. "Leave her alone".

Intimidate vs will: 19+0=19, 2 degrees of success. All opponents get -5 initiative

All four humans stare at you. "What is this??" One calls, while another points his gun at you, threatening and cursing your "freaky blue ass", radiating hate and fear. The one holding the woman's hand, apparently the leader, is the first to recover his nerves, raising his gun shouting "shoot that monster!". But as fast as he is, you are faster, charging their way with your energy sword litting as you run. You swing your sword at the first bastard, hitting his stomach with a quick side slash without stopping, and he collapses as you roll past him. By that time, your opponents recover a bit, not that it helps them much. The next one you reach is already holding a knife as you reach him, trying to stab you as you stand up from your roll. You are so surprised by the stupidity he actually manages to hit you, but he is even more surprised when the knife glances off an invisible barrier doing no damage. Shots are fired from that you from the side, and you nimbly take a half step back before whirling around and using the momentum to deliver a cut through his chest, felling him as well. You pay for that, however, as the barrage of bullets hits you, slipping through your force field.

You stumble. Those weapons hit harder than you predicted and your stomach. Suddenly, an unknown force in you rises through the pain, and light surrounds you.

This time, it is not for the blue skin. You are somehow glowing in light, as strong as sunlight. Finish the fight! Echoes the voice of your old fighting teacher at the academy, and you turn yourself back to the action. The two remaining humans seem to decide to do the same, as again they fire bullets at you. You start dodging, but you don't even need to dodge, the bullets simply passing through your light form leaving no sign of their passage. Operating on instinct, you raise your hand toward the first foe, relying on your varied training to aim, and direct the energy flowing through your hand toward the bully. A blazing ray of light launches at the man, blasting him and knocking him unconscious.

The other one stares at your glowing form, full of terror, then looks at his ineffective weapon. He makes the sensible decision. He turns back and runs away as fast as he can.

Fight over, you turn to stare at your hands, glowing like a fusion lantern. What just happened? The light quickly leaves your body, leaving your now material form stumbling and almost falling for a moment before your natural agility returns.

"Are you alright?" The human woman reminds you of her existence, rushing forward intending to help you, though you manage to regain your balance before she gets to you. Surprising you, the woman's first action is to lay a hand on your chest and forehead. "Your pulse is alright and your heat seems well, if cold. You seem alright" she calls, only then she seems to remember what just happened, and the fact you are a blue woman with pointy ears and stands stunned. "Who are you?? What was that"

You decide to answer. You saved her from thugs, you could give her this basic courtesy. Certainly better than her running away screaming.

"I am Selar, a Seran adventurer from the Orion system". You don't answer the second question. You will see to that later.

The woman stands there, just gaping at yo7 for a few seconds while you stand freezing. Finally, she gathers herself.

"We can't stay here. If the Warhawks found me, more must be already on their way". She mutters, still torn between disbelief and amazement yet trying to focus as much as you do. Either way, she is right. focusing on your psionic senses, you can feel several more presences advancing toward you, all of them with a hostile intention. They will get here in a few minutes. this does not bode well.

She touches your bare shoulder, shaking you from deep concentration. "You should come with me. My apartment is not far from here. We should go there". On her face there is determination that surprises and impresses you in equal measure. "With how you look, you are almost as much in danger as me, and you must be freezing in this cold". she frowns. "And I will certainly be happy for your protection".

you ponder it for one moment. trying to reach into her mind for a small check, but you are still disoriented from the power that erupted in you during the fight. still, the woman seemed nothing but kind and innocent, and you have no qualms about protecting her further. and her offer for safe shelter is quite good for you. all in all, as far as you can judge, she seems genuine, as well as sincerely caring for your safety. you do ponder why those men hunt her like that, but that can wait with the other questions you have.

mind reading vs will: 3+4 vs ???. failure

you give her a nod, pulling your hair back. "alright. I will escort you. but will you tell me your name?"

she flashes you a smile as she strides forward. "of course. my name is Anna"

you join her as you stride forward.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

you encounter several more foes during your hurried retreat, but although the power does not erupt in you again, there is not a single time where you are challenged. it is clear these people were ready to prey on a defenseless girl, not a well trained and superiorly equipped alien. foes have their rifles cut by your blade before they can react, or are tripped by an invisible power before being stabbed or cut. you do wonder whether to use lethal force since at least for now those people are not even a threat to you. there is no need to eliminate them.

[]deal with them, but avoid any killing blows. these people are true bastards, but you are not one to deal death unless there is no choice. and there is here
[]you simply fight them. those are real bastards, and they chose to attack you and Anna. don't purposely try killing blows, but don't limit your strikes either.
[]kill them all. they deserve what they get. you are not that evil

finally, Anna calls "we are almost there, beyond that bridge" and that is when your senses finally catch up with the moving enemy. it is your fault. you slacked off, focusing your psionic energy in your telekinesis instead of watching the enemies. "stop!" you call

only a hundred meters from you a large group of brutes is incoming. you can count at least eight, split in two vehicles based on their movements. all ready to kill. it seems they finally assembled a fitting force against the new threat.

it won't be easy. this is a large group, and you won't be surprised if they are also better equipped to deal with you. that said, you have been in plenty of dangerous situations, and you sure aren't going to lose your wits in this small one. you can not outrun the cars, you will need to fight.

[] pull Anna beneath the bridge, into the rougher terrain. you can use it to your advantage.
[]pull back, into the open street. you will use the terrain to separate them and exploit your superior mobility
[] send Anna back, and get ready to hold the bridge. you will defend the chokehold

well, that was a really fun chapter to write. you have made a friend, but also some dangerous enemies, and kicked the ass of some militants and Freikorps

now you have to face off against the group organized in response to your appearance, as it appears that that runaway militant had managed to report, and your attackers have prepared a force accordingly.

feel free to make more detailed plans in your votes, either as a sub vote or a different vote option.

You are out of the neighborhood on a large streetwalk, at the end of a small square. Beyond you there is a small bridge with a road, about 3 meters wide, plus a single meter passage for people moving on foot. Below it there is a small path, quite abandoned and in bad care and usually housing homeless and criminals, though minor criminal and homeless are likely to try and avoid this fight. The bridge is straight and mae of concrete, and has a half meter high concrete edge at each side. Out of the bridge the road gets into a T shaped crossroad, splitting to a road about the same width seperating it from the square.

Couldn't happen to someone more deserving.
I don't have a good sense of the terrain. theres a bridge. And a road crossing it? A footpath? Since they've got vehicles I assume a road. Are we surrounded by buildings or is this mostly open space, are there alleys?
Oh right, I wanted to add it to the update, but forgot as I got aught up in editing the battle. You are out of the neighborhood on a large streetwalk, at the end of a small square. Thanks, I've got an alternate write in plan and thats almost a mix and match of beneath the bridge and open street.

[ ] Fall back to find alleys or wharehouses and force them to abandon their vehicles, use stealth to split them up and track them with your mental sense to ambush them individually.

However if we've left the neighbour hood I'm not sure the terrain makes that plausible

You can retreat back, but remember you are not vulnerable main target but Anna, and this might leave her vulnerable

Also, there are still some people around in the neighborhood. On the main street too, but those can get away more easily
