Initial Abilities (Choose One; note that you aren't limited to buying abilities from the category you choose later. This just decides your initial abilities.)
[ ] Might (31 CP) - The Hero of Oakvale was a legendary warrior.
- Melee Weapon Mastery (6 CP) –Swords, axes, picks, hammers, maces… Anything that stabs, slices or bludgeons comes alive in your hands.
- Light Armor Proficiency (3 CP) – You look good in leather. Leather armor mostly. Well, you can wear it without chafing at least…
- Ten Thousand Battles (18 CP) – The memories of countless battles guide your hand. Your blows strike true and fall hard. +3 to hit and damage with melee weapons.
- Toughness I (4 CP) – You suffer from the memories of countless wounds and deaths. Hurts that would lay you low before don't seem so severe in comparison. All damage to you is reduced by 3 points.
[ ] Will (31 CP) - The Hero of Oakvale was a powerful mage.
- Magic Power III (24 pts) – You can store and manipulate magical energies.
- Spell (6 CP) – You remember how to cast a single spell. Select one spell from among: Lightning, Fire, Ice, Shield, Berserk, Rush, Heal, Ghost Sword, Turncoat, Force Push, Summon, Slow Time and Drain. Descriptions of spells can be found
HERE. Spells scale up with Magic Power and are more flexible than their game counterparts (i.e. Force Push is full telekinesis, Lightning is full electrokinesis, Ghost Sword theoretically allows you to create anything, etc.)
- Practiced Caster (1 CP) – You find it easier to cast under pressure. +2 to concentration for casting spells.
[ ] Skill (31 CP) – The Hero of Oakvale was a skilled rogue.
- Ranged Weapon Mastery (6 CP) – If it deals death from afar, you can use it.
- Guile (16 CP) - You remember a lifetime spent in the shadows. +5 to Stealth, Bluff, Disable Device and Sleight-of-hand. Stealth, Bluff, Disable Device and Sleight-of-Hand are half-cost.
- Improved Initiative I (6 CP) – You have quick reflexes. +4 to Initiative
- Dead-eye (3 CP) – You can usually hit the broad side of a barn. +1 to hit with ranged weapons.
[ ] Simulation (31 CP) - The Hero of Oakvale was a video game character.
- The Save Button is Your Friend (18 CP) - Life is a game and you have infinite lives. Once per day, you can establish a save point. Should you die after saving, you will "respawn" at your save point, alive and bearing whatever equipment you had at death. Warning: This power can be nullified by effects that attack basic existence or the soul.
- Minimap (13 CP) – A map only you can see floats in the back of your brain. It shows the immediate area, including artificial structures and creatures. The red dots are enemies. As long as you're paying attention, it's hard to sneak up on you. You have a +2 bonus to detect sneaking enemies.
This took longer than I thought. First story post tomorrow and character sheet hopefully up soon.
