Just wanted to drop a comment in here to say I'm thoroughly enjoying the story so far, and look forward to the next instalment. It's a breath of fresh air to read a Celestial Forge story that really engages with the world-as-it-is rather than just springboarding off of it. In particular I'm very impressed both by how viscerally you've portrayed James' struggles, and the explanations for the weird tinkertech-ness of Armsmaster's cycle.
Also, your use of The Glass Scientists' neoalchemy has given me a goof idea for how to get over a hurdle in my own writing, so thanks for that too.
