Damn this game has like a 3/10 on Steam and from some of the gameplay footage the gunplay does not look very good.
I was thinking of getting it on PC but I'll wait until it goes on sale and when they have fixed the optimization issues. Some people are apparently having trouble running it on 1080s with constant crashes.
EDIT: Looking at some LPs... some more thoughts...
Cover mechanic looks good. You can hide and peak around and above corners and obstacles. However the movement looks a bit jittery. Reminds me more of MGS4 than MGSV.
Graphics and animations look a bit dated as is the sound design. Soundtrack is a bit bland so far. Some of the animations look downright weird and arcadey which clashes a bit with the gritty realism that the game wants to go for.
I'm curious to see how much of a role the mechs play. Some of the maps look pretty small and claustrophobic right now, but that might just be the tutorial levels trying to ease you into the game.
Looking around a bit, some people are saying that the game might have been pushed out early and needed some more polish. I wonder if Enix is trying to push it out early to make first quarter, if so it's definitely biting them in the booty right now.
