Girls und Panzer (Old Thread)

Given Yayoi's Aspects, does she even need a reason? :p
She does, actually. It's just there are so many to choose from, such as the sun being up, it being too warm, it being too cold, you annoying her with your face, you annoying her with your upperclassness, you annoying her by standing to close to her, standing too far away, being cuter than her, ect.

It's a broad sentiment. Doesn't help that tankery is a stupidly upperclass sport.

>Ashley the Orphan
>An Upper-class kind of girl

Yeah, nope.

So like, Grunts in the USMC, Yayoi finds something to complain about no matter what? :p

All the while Venla maintains the most eloquent silence.

You got to a private school and play frigging tankery. There is no way for you not to be upperclass.
*stares at Bellwall*

Yeah... Upper class...

... Wait, didn't these girls buy a Type 10?

Name: Rebecca Milton
Appearance:

Age: 17
Role: Driver
Team(s): Koala Forest Academy
Birthplace: Melbourne, Australia

High Concept: Ace Driver- Rebecca's been amazing at vehicular travel since she got her first bike, and no vehicle she's ever gotten behind the wheel, control stick or handlebars of has ever been driven poorly. Main issue is, she doesn't quite get that most other people can't replicate, or physically/mentally tolerate, pulling a lot of the manouvers she thinks are 'normal'. No worries, she's sure you'll get used to it!
Trouble: I know what I'm doing!- Conversely, taking orders when she thinks she knows a better solution is a trial. I mean, if she shows them in practice why the idea doesn't work, that'll convince them, right?

Aspects:
  • Energetically Friendly- The japanese call it...'Genki girl'?
  • Music Lover- If she's not driving listening to music, the stereo's broken. Classical, rap, hip-hop, rock, orchestral, she listens to everything. Says it 'helps her set her mood'.
  • Likes to Cook, Likes to Eat- It's mostly Aussie food, but she'll make some extra for you if you want!

Refresh: 3
Fate Points: 3
Physical: [ ] [ ] [ ]
Morale: [ ] [ ] [ ]
Wealth: (GM)
Consequences: X

Personality & Bio:
Rebecca's a former member of the Koala Forest Senshado team. She's from a reasonably affluent, if not actually wealthy family, who initially was enrolled on her 'home' Academy Ship. However, her driving style and difficulty following precise instructions did not mesh well with the command style of the team, and very few members of the team could keep up with her while she was in the driver's seat. As a result, she rarely had a chance to formally compete within the Koala Forest Senshado team.

Eventually she competed in several unsanctioned events, primarily Tankathalon, and her driving caught the eye of a recruiter for Glassheart Academy, a foreign school that was actively recruiting new Senshado students. Thinking it'd be good fun to go overseas, meet new people and beat them at racing, she got her parent's approval and amicably parted ways with the Koala Forest Academy. She still keeps in contact with their Senshado team, since while she was sidelined as a participant she still has a few friends within the team (the few she didn't chase away with her...particular driving style).

Skills:
+4 Drive
+3 Empathy, Cooking
+2 Physique, Will, Craft
+1 Notice, Agility, Contacts, Resources

Stunts:
  • Engage Eurobeats- By playing music of specific genre (Invoking her music aspect), she can completely ignore physics related to the specific action she takes on her next Drive roll. For example, high speed drifting without losing the track, surviving long distance drops off tall objects, driving the tank on only one track. This replaces the +2 bonus, and imposes a penalty to hearing instructions from the commander while in progress.
  • Steady Driver- One per scene, you may re-roll a Drive roll for free.
  • Delicious!- Grants a +2 bonus to Cook when making food for other people

  • Have you been on a senshado team? What was that team good at? Koala Forest Academy, who utilised general maneuver warfare focusing on british and american tank synergies.
  • If not, what team do you like best? What's their specialty? Her favourite team is actually the University level Selection University, as their Shimada style of combat resonates with her driving style. Of the High School teams, she likes her old school, Koala Forest.
  • What strengths do you bring to our team? A highly skilled driver who can make things happen that really shouldn't happen, while also having as much fun as possible!
  • Which nation's tanks do you prefer? Due to her experience, she prefers both British and American tanks.
  • What type of tank do you like? Stuff that's manouverable. While she could handle being a heavy driver, she's generally more comfortable in Lights and Mediums, along with mobile Tank Destroyers.
  • What is your favorite tank? Either the Centurion, for maximum all-round fun, or something like a Hellcat or the ELC series prototypes. Light and fast means manouverable!
Looks good. As for stunts:

Engage Eurobeats- By playing your favorite genre of music, you gain a +2 to Overcome actions with Drive.

EDIT: After consulting the stunt generator... I'd suggest :

Engage Eurobeats- You can do anything with the right soundtrack. After taking an action to load up your playlist, you can ignore multiple laws of physics upon your next turn with Drive..

Name: Lucas Cross
Appearance:

Age: 16
Role: Commander preferred for maximum usage of his Trouble and character development. Can adjust skills and fluff to whatever is needed if another role is required.
Team(s): N/A
Birthplace: New York, New York

Aspects:
High Aspect: Clueless Commander
Aspect: Talented Artist
Aspect: Old Money
Aspect: In Their Footsteps
Trouble: How do I Tonk

Refresh: 2
Fate Points: 2
Physical: [ ] [ ] [ ]
Morale: [ ] [ ] [ ]
Wealth: (GM)
Consequences: X
Personality & Bio: Born into a rather wealthy family with somewhat hands off parents, Lucas was always given a good amount of free to explore whatever flights of fancies he desired, flitting from subject to subject, before eventually finding himself enamored with the arts. Such things like music and drawing came almost naturally to him, and it was fortunate that he found such talents in his youth, giving him time to develop it properly. Even then, however, he found himself pursuing such things more as a hobby rather than as a passion, and continued to search that certain something that he could occupy the entirety of his being with.

Lucas often found himself jealous of his sister Fiona, a year older, though it's never something he would express publically, and he found himself adoring her more often than in conflict with her. While Lucas himself was given a great deal of leeway in his pursuits, his sister was not. His parents were always a bit more demanding with her as the eldest child, and she practiced the 'martial arts' of Sensha-dō, as it was the 'womanly' thing to do. Rather than chafe under this pressure though, Fiona excelled, finding she didn't much mind this duty forced upon her, compared to the other duties she had to go through, such as extra schooling and several extra-curriculars. It was because of this that Lucas found himself jealous of Fiona, having a passion essentially found for her, as well as being given the lion's share of his parent's attention. Not one for conflict, however, Lucas instead attached himself to Fiona's hip, perhaps hoping to leech off some of that focus his mother and father seemed to heap onto her, and he quickly became a bit of an accomplice in many of her activities, even supporting her in her Sensha-dō competitions by playing the role of mechanic, though never in any truly official capacity.

Fiona was poised to be one of the greatest competitors in the running, until a tragic accident happened. Injured through a rare fault in all the safety measures usually applied to the battles, Fiona was taken out of the competition. Upon hearing word that it was possible that Fiona may possibly never be able to compete again, Lucas decided to take up after her and compete in her stead, much to the shock of his family. He'd have to start at the bottom, and as a male even, which was a fact that his younger sister made fun of at his expense to no end. Even then, he'd do his best to live up to what his sister could have been, and perhaps, take for himself just a little bit of what she had.

Skills:
Empathy +4
Resources, Craft +3
Agility, Shoot, Notice +2
Will, Rapport, Physique, Lore +1

Stunts:
That's Always Been There: Can roll Resources midscene to create Aspects, having retroactively acquired whatever it was before the scene started
Orchestrator: Can grant one other character the benefits of a single Stunt for a turn with the use of a Fate Point
Emergency Repairs: Add +2 to checks made to repairs in the field
Symphony Cannonade: Add +2 to check when creating Aspects related to 'Covering/Suppressing Fire'

Hnnnngggg... Work's been kicking my ass but I'm still alive.

Should have enough time for a profile soon but I still have absolutely no idea how FATE works. I can probably read up on it though but it seems somewhat freeform going by these 'Stunts' and 'Aspects'.

There's a sizeable primer in the OP on it. Follow the links and the rest is self explanatory. There's a generator and an archive for stunts, Aspects are like your one-line summary or elevator pitch.

  • Requested Tank Nation:
Character would prefer american/british but as a player wherever is cool.
  • Requested Tank Class:
Not slow. As GuP the Movie showed, you can drift in a Tiger so that means you can drift most anything. Ideally it'd be a light or medium for maximum mobility but overall no supreme preference.
  • Requested Tank Models (3):
Erm.....huh. Kinda hard to give a preferential tank when you don't really have preferential classes. Maybe a Stuart or Crusader? To differentiate from the other Mediums people have requested, maybe a t34 or variant thereof?
  • Reasoning:
Rebecca, as a driver, wants something that can leverage mobility to either outmaneuver the opposition or at least equal them. Something big and slow like most heavy tanks would not allow that, though as I mentioned to you I can as a player still work with whatever I get. Like that utter monster of a light tank you suggested.

Do the 10TP. 7 tons, 40 mph, and a 120 RPM Bofors autocannon that can penetrate a Pz. 4 anywhere at 500 yards

I mean, that's neat but I've learned never to ask for Prototype tanks. If he wants to give me one, that's up to him. Most of my personal favourite tanks aren't really in character for this character or available (Superheavy tanks and tank destroyers, or post-war designs).

It's not a prototype, it's just a polish mid-war design. :V

Doesn't mean they built more than one though, which is the very definition of the word prototype, which means much harder to ask for from the GM. Also, Pre-war, not mid-war design. As you said, they got annexed, meaning they didn't exist mid-war.
