As a new Commander of G&K, you plan on enjoying a nice time of being a commander, even if it's logistics or something mundane. But as threats rise, you might need to call in a few favors from old friends and make sure that G&K lives to see another day.
A New Job, A New Day
Location
United States
You were ready for your new job, considering that most wouldn't hire anyone with a file that read like a grocery store barcode. But Griffin and Kryuger were kind enough to bring you aboard, considering your vast experiences and skills. They were willing to overlook anything...So long as you stayed in line, of course. Just keep your hands here squeaky clean, and nothing will go wrong (hopefully). Right now, you were filling out the required forms in order to join.

Measurements, medical history, skills, the normal stuff. It wasn't long until you had the forms filled out, and it was just a few days until you were going to show up at Base S-09. With everything said and done, you were fully prepared to live a normal life...Though, considering what may happen in the future, you may need to call in some favors from your old line of work.

Your old job wasn't exactly squeaky clean, be it some intelligence agency, black operations, or even a company specializing in T-Doll Manufacturing. Whichever it was, you were high enough in the corporate ladder that they would be happy to help out with any favors you may have had. Or if not, you can use the skills you've learned to deadly effect.

Now then, who are you, and who was your former employer?

[] Name:
[] Appearance:
[] Nationality:
[] Personal Sidearm:

[] Former Occupation:
-[] Black Data Intelligence: To say you have connections is an understatement, you were once part of the group known as Black Data. They're an intelligence corporation that works in espionage and more dark activities, meaning they have their grubby hands just about everywhere, all over Europe. You were one of their best agents, an agent of pure, indomitable will and the skills necessary to get it done. If you need intelligence on anyone, they'll be kind enough to give it to you.
Bonus: Your Eyes Only (Gives intelligence on any known factions - Sangvis Ferri, Griffin & Kryuger, KCCO, etc - It's up to you on how it's used.)

-[] Tunnel_Rats: A group of hacktivists, the Tunnel_Rats can forge the right papers to get you the supplies and gear you require. They might even get you a few T-Dolls if you're lucky, but that's probably wishful thinking. Your position in the Tunnel_Rats was close to the founder, though you had to drop out after one particular operation nearly exposed you. After leaving, the Tunnel_Rats are still kind enough to give you supplies - Be they firearms, body armor, explosives, or even more T-Dolls and a backup server to house them.
Bonus: Fell Off A Truck (Redirects Supply Shipments to your base, depending on needs. Higher Quality Goods require higher success Rolls)

-[] 108-Prometheans: Some say the Prometheans are heroes, others say they're a bunch of cyborg punks who believe that T-Dolls deserve equal rights. You're part of the first crowd, as you helped found the group in its heyday. Sure that was a few years ago, and most Prometheans today are peaceful protesters. But behind the scenes, in the dark servers and hidden rooms, they're still fighting that battle. Just from a different angle, they can offer replacement parts for the T-Dolls with parts that are out of production, or can even upgrade them for a small fee.
Bonus: Promethean Forge (Halves Repair Time, can upgrade most T-Dolls' Digiminds with little issue - For a price that is.)

-[] Sangvis Ferri: This is a bit hard to explain, you slept in because of a power outage, sparing you from the Butterfly Incident. After that, it was hard to find any work because who would hire anyone from Sangvis Ferri? Especially after their products started attacking people. But you have one thing that makes you valuable to Griffin - Access Codes. You still have access to Sangvis Ferri's servers, to the point you can probably rewire (from a safe distance) an SF Digimind from afar. Just be careful that whatever is behind SF doesn't notice you, or else.
Bonus: Eyes On The Inside (You can Capture Sangvis Units, who can either be useful in battle or in logistics, along with possibly redirecting them if possible.)

[] Hire…(Budget: 20 Points - Grants A Random Rarity T-Doll)
-[] Handgun T-Doll (2 Points)
-[] SMG T-Doll (4 Points)
-[] Assault Rifle T-Doll (5 Points)
-[] Rifle T-Doll (5 Points)
-[] Machine Gun T-Doll (6 Points)
-[] Shotgun T-Doll (6 Points)

When you say "able to upgrade the Digi-mind" how far are we talking here? Cause being able to get, say, squad-leaders up to the point of being able to plan and anticipate things tactically is kind of a Big Deal. One of the main limitations on them is their inability to adapt after all.

Well, except a few of them who each cheat in their own ways anyway.

Being a former SF employee is a great second though.

Hmm, for squad comps... MGs and Shotguns are both supposed to be expensive in their own ways. ARs are the backbone of most squads, RF/HG squads are for taking out armored units... SMGs are just nice to have all around really.

HGs are good force multipliers... Damn, I'd like a 2AR, 1RF, 1SMG, 1HG echelon, but that's 21 points. Two HGs for frontline maybe? Let them kite or something.

What happens with leftover points if we don't use them all?

You'll be able to upgrade units to MOD 3, and as for leftover points, they'll be saved for the next recruitment post.

I don't have a plan, but I'll rec this echelon. Handguns as frontliners is bad, but they can still kite pretty well like SMGs and serve as force multipliers for the others so that the others hopefully kill everything fast enough for it not to matter.

I can't really decide honestly. All of the backgrounds are so damn useful. Knowing the flow of the shady backroom deals, having logistics Yes with backup servers for our girls that people would have to go digging to find, being able to make each of our girls a high-quality monster with some ([much?] lower I think was implied?) investment, and then being able to get into SF for touches of basically everything above either at a risk or being of limited utility.

SF only intel, rip off SF supply depots (maybe tear a server out of the ground or two and repurpose them if needed?), and... I suppose for the SF made girls or ones compatible with the parts we might be able to do upgrades under the table? Depends on how far we can stretch the logistics we can rip out of their hands without them noticing I suppose.

I have a great appearance pic too, unfortunately its too anime. T-T

I... can't say I like any of the plans right now honestly.

I prefer female, but I'm not sure which would feel better here surrounded by raifus.

I'd kinda like to know to the extent to which we can twist and abuse the SF perk because most of the time what's needed is a little bit of everything, but idk.

I have no idea about name, nationality, or sidearm. Like, actually no idea.

Leaning a little bit anime my thought for appearance was:

... And just to get it out there, my musing yesterday about one being too anime was:

*proceeds to shove both off the table*

Like I said though, I really don't know about that top chunk at all.

American feels out of place for SF since they're Eastern Europe... though apparently they did have branches in England. London specifically.

*looks between my rec'd echelon and Gun and Powder's* ... Oops. I meant to say to two ARs and one RF, but I did it the other way around.

Anyway. *throws hands up* I got nothing.

I was honestly curious as to why it was two rifles and that I was too small brain to get it. But that made much more sense.

If it help I used a random name generators for mine and smash it until one pop up that I liked. Nationality and Sidearm was first thing that pop into my head. For appearance, I just went through my phone and see which one look like a criminal. For occupation I thought having information on any factions, not just SF was a good idea.

I perfer Blanc (2nd) over Gudako.

My mind just goes blank. And I don't know what any of the nationalities might mean which just induces choice paralysis. Its a little narrowed down for SF anyway since they were Eastern European with branches in London, Russia, and Ukraine.

Like I noted, its Info vs. Logistics and backups vs. Logistics from the other angle (making repairs easier and thus getting them back out faster) and a big quality boost to any girl we have vs. probably a little of everything.

All of them are about leveraging what they get really.
I perfer Blanc (2nd) over Gudako.
Me too, but the human designs are all really down to earth. Or... well, relatively.

The problem with the sidearm for me is... humans honestly don't matter much once a doll gets involved. Besides maybe SF mook tier dolls.

Maybe.

At one point M4A1... damn, that's a spoiler. Just... trust me, once a doll enters the field entire squads of humans don't matter one lick.

I'm stuck between getting a high enough caliber gun to actually do something if it does come up or to go with something only good for other humans, but that's just good all around. Python and Desert Eagle on one side versus 1911A1 and Glock on the other basically, but I'm not really that knowledgeable about guns either. That was fifteen minutes of me poking around on the internet.

I like Contender, but single shot.

Also yes, I decided fuck it and just went for the anime. We're stuck in vote/plan paralysis anyway, though its not too big of a vote either. If just barely.

Edit: And now I'm agonizing over the background more. SF definitely leans more towards early game benefits unfortunately, but the ability to do a little bit of everything... Intel leverage though, but that basically makes us a black ops squad. Street Rats is... I like Prometheus too, but its also the heavy handed one. I think. Damn.

You can use the same thing that you put imagine in but used it for actual spoiler. Even still, a gun is a gun. It's best to have something rather than nothing if we ever need one, so don't overthink much... is what I'm saying.

I would definitely say early game benefits is a good thing, as it would allow us to walk into more dangerous territory without falling over (much) which might help us in the late game depending on the result. If it ever reach late game.

I would say Tunnel_Rats is pretty good, resource is resource and having suffer through many resources shortages in GFL... I wouldn't really mind "finding" good that "fell" off trucks.

Too late by a country mile. Oh well, Python it is. Despite how cheap that feels since she just came out in GFL and is hilariously amazing to use.

... Mmm... On the one hand, yeah, that sounds good. Really good honestly with logistics and backup servers. On the other hand SF is also all about mass production, its why the majority of their dolls suck compared to even the civilian model IOP dolls upgraded for PMC use.

I think I'll stick with SF though. *Shrug*

Thank you for the help.

When's the vote getting called? I mean, not happy about the machinegun in the winning plan, but oh well.

We're going to need to be stealing lotsa ammo for her unfortunately.

[X] Plan Blanc

As someone who's struggled with ammo even without using a lot of MGs, I think we should hold off on them for at least until we have a good foundation.
Also, I feel like the strengths of the S.F. option is being overlooked compared to the others. Access codes will provide easier and possibly quieter solutions to problems. Capturing S.F. units could provide infomation, create openings to exploit, provide distractions, and of course get us some Sangvis waifus. We could probably use Sangvis parts or whatnot to disguise our dolls' identification signals like a certain doll did in a certain event.

It's debatable whether our advantages would last forever, but Sangvis doesn't really seem too good at changing to adapt, from what I can remember.
