You find yourself in....
1

Jaune Pendragon

King Of Servants
Location
Avalon
You find yourself in a Blank Void staring at a screen in front of you.

You have died.

Congratulations, you are chosen by a certain whim of someone to be Reborn in a different world.

Who you will be reborn as or inserted, will unfortunately be random and you won't be able to choose as you don't have enough points, but you are given the choice to choose which where you wish to be reborn in from a list of options.

Choose.

[] Kishimotoverse
[] Remnant
[] Bleach
[] Nasuverse
[] DXD
[] Danmachi
[] Worm
[] Dragon Ball

You don't remember much of how you died or your past life... But somehow you know these worlds... Your memories are a bit scrambled though. You think about it briefly and you choose.

2
Taking a breath you selected Nasuverse and with that, the world turned white.

The next moment the whiteness begins to fade and you begin to regain your vision.

As you began to regain your bearings you found that you were in a room of some kind. You felt strange.

There were two doors, one to your left and one to your front. There was a study on your right with a few books near a window which had sunlight pouring in through it, and a small bed behind you.

What do you do?

[] Go to Bed.
[] Check the study, perhaps you might find something that would give you a clue of your situation.
[] Look out the window, perhaps you might be able to tell your location?
[] Take the door to your left.
[] Take the door in front of you.

You walked over to the study.

There were a few books there.

You picked up one of the books.

"The Beginnings of Mystery." You read aloud.

Your eyes widened nearly dropping the book in shock.

It was in Japanese.

You somehow understood it. Even spoke it.

Even though you knew that you shouldn't have been able to understand other than the words you've picked up when watching shows.

(Ability Discovered - Written and Spoken Japanese)

What in the hell?

Was this some kind of Magecraft as well?

No.

That's not something important. You needed to find out where you were. There were a few more books.

Taking another one you read the title.

"Beginners Chemistry."

Putting that aside you picked up the last book on the study.

"Beginners Physics."

None of them gave any clue of where you were.

The only thing you knew was that you were the Nasuverse in a modern era given by lights and fan.

The building atleast had electricity. That was something atleast.

You move to the window and peek out of it.

You see several buildings out of the window, but nothing particularly stands out to you. It seemed to be a quiet neighbourhood though.

This seemed to be a residential area from what you could tell, and you looked like you were in a small house of some sort?

There seemed to be a small garden with a variety of plants in the courtyard of the house you were in.

Still nothing concrete.

Then you notice something in the distance.

It was a bridge.

A red bridge.

A very familiar red bridge...

Well...there was no mistaking that bridge.

You were definitely in the city where everything goes wrong.

What do you do now?

[] Go to Bed, maybe you were dreaming and this will make sense when you wake up.
[] Take the door to your left, you need to find out more about the house you were in.
[] Take the door in front of you, you need to find out more about the house you were in.
[] Try to find a calendar so you can get a hint of where in the timeline you were in?
[] Jump out of the window. Run. Run the f*** away. This city was f****** death trap. It doesn't matter who's house you were in, you had to get the f*** out of here.

You look around the room you were in
. Perhaps you could find a calender or something similar that could give you a good idea of where in the Timeline you were in?

You eventually managed to find a small daily calender inside a drawer of the study.

It was one of those calenders where you tore of the page in the front everyday.

1st October 1992

Well.

You now had a date.

You had little over a year before the Fourth Grail War.

You now had an idea of where you were, but not an exact location.

First of all, who's house was this? You needed to know.

You walk towards the door to your left and open it.

It was a bathroom.

You could refresh yourself.

Walking to the sink your eyes widened as you stared at what you assume was a reflection.

What in the world?

You were a

You stare in disbelief at the reflection.

This couldn't be real.

Of all the people!

Then you began to feel it.

Things wriggling beneath your skin.

It hurt.

It hurt.

IT HURT.

IT HURTS.

IT HURTS!

You could barely resist crying out as each wriggle sends waves of pain through your body.

What was a few seconds seemed like an eternity for the r you before they settled and the pain receded.

(You have gained Crest Worms - Rank F)

But you didn't get a break.

Then your mind felt like it was bieng hit by a chisel.

"AAAAAAARGH" you couldn't hold back a scream as pain overwhelmed your senses. But as quickly as it came, it disappeared. You were left panting for breath as sweat poured down your body.

In that brief instant you experienced everything Kariya had.

Your souls were in contact with each other.

You felt his plea.

He pleaded to you.

He pleaded to you to save Sakura for him.

He was willing to even give up his soul happily if it meant Sakura was safe.

He thought you were a demon of some kind.

You agreed mentally, not willing to think what might happen if you rejected, him.

Then... You had his soul in the palms of your hands metaphorically.

You had two choices.

You could let his soul go, you've already gotten all his memories.

Or you could consume his soul completely devouring him.

You didn't know what would happen in either case...

You...

[] Let his soul pass on. He has already sacrificed so much. Let him rest.

[] Devour his soul. You didn't know what would happen but maybe you might get something?

Each action has consequences. Choose wisely.

The Man had suffered enough already.

He had gone through so much. So much that he didn't even have to. All for the sake of a child that wasn't even his.

To spare young Sakura from Zoukens training.

Zouken had agreed to wait until he brings back the Grail.

But that was simply to make him squirm, to make him work harder rather than kindness.

He had no belief that Kariya would ever win the grail.

The man had gone through enough.

You let the man's soul go as you felt him disappear, you could feel his relief. Even if he was willing to sell his soul to you that didn't mean he had to like it.

You opened your eyes as that you felt the last bits of his soul leave.

(???????? ????? points gained (+20))

You felt good, even if the physical pain was still lingering.

Looking back at the mirror you begin to form a plan.

Kariya's rushed "training" was done, now he was only waiting for the grail war to begin.

For now, Zouken had let him be to do as he wished until the grail war had begun.

There are a few people who would be willing to help.

Could he go to Tokiomi? Would the man take action if he provided proof of what his daughter had gone through and will go through even more if he fails to save her?

Tomomi was a magus. There was a likely chance he would instead see it as beneficial to Sakura instead of for the torture it is.

Then there were two other people.

Emiya Kiritsugu and Kirei Kotomine.

Kirei Kotomine wasn't evil at the moment, simply lost.

He could go to him for help as he was a member of the Burial Agency. He was also skilled in spiritual surgery and could likely remove anything Zouken had implanted in Sakura especially since it has only just begun, instead of years.

If he could turn him around to the side of good, that would be even better since Gilgamesh hasn't corrupted him yet.

Kiritsugu was a practical man and would likely agree to help for an alliance in the grail war. Though he probably will ask me to kill my servant with command seals at the end or maybe have me sign a self geas scroll for that or something.

You decided to go to Kirei. It's the most likely to succeed.

With a breath, you open the door and head down to check on Sakura.

She was still asleep.

Good.

You had to keep calm, for now, you needed to eat something.

You head to the kitchen and try to make something for yourself, you open the fridge and take stock of what was there before cooking for yourself and Sakura.

(Dice Roll 6d1 = 4, Success. Skill Cooking Remembered)

You weren't a five-star chef but you could make home meals with ease.

You made a fresh omelet with onions a bit of cheese and some drumstick leaves.

It's simple to make and healthy.

You needed all the proteins you could get for the war that was coming and Sakura was a growing girl who needed to eat healthily.

"Ho? I didn't know you knew how to cook Kariya?" I heard a raspy voice behind me.

My heart nearly leaped out of my chest as I nearly dropped the egg that I flipped into the air.

"Gahahaha."

Apparently, my scare was not as hidden as I thought.

I placed the now-fried eggs on two plates and turned around to see the old wrinkly man that was Zouken Makiri.

Or Zouken Matou as he goes by now.

"Grandfather." I nodded and his eyebrows rose.

"Hmm, you seem different Kariya, as if you have stopped raging against the unfairness of the world and are actually going to do something? Not that I expect a failure like you to keep win the grail anyway. Gehehehe."

Ok, even I'm finding it difficult to keep myself from lashing out.

"What do you want?" I ground out.

"Ah, now that is Kariya," He turned around and began to walk away "I almost thought you were someone else who took over Kariya somehow."I stiffened. Did he know? "That might actually be an improvement. Hehehehe." No, it was just how he usually was.

I let out a sigh of relief as he disappeared.

That was..something...

I walked over to Sakura's room to wake her up.

"Sakura... it's time for breakfast." I gently picked up the girl and carried her to the dining table.

"Oji-san?" The girl murmured as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes

"Sleep well Sakura? I hope you're hungry, I made breakfast." I let her down on the chair and sat opposite to her.

"Oji-san? Are you...Okay?" Huh, why did you ask that?

"Of course I'm alright Sakura." I tried to give her a relieving smile but I think it came out as a grimace.

"Oji-san..you're turning into a different person aren't you?" What? Does she know Kariya is gone? "Grandpa said I don't have to go to the worm room because of you Oji-san."

Ah that...

I honestly don't think I can handle a day inside that pit.

"Yeah, I guess, go on take a bite Sakura, I made it."

The girl slowly takes a bite, and then another and another before I knew it she had finished her plate.

She looked at her empty plate longingly.

"Want some?" I asked offered changing my uneaten egg with hers.

She bit into it once more.

"It's tasty." Tears began to drip from her eyes. Something I didn't expect at all. "It taste just like how mom used to make."

Oh dear lord.

I got up, walking over to her and gently gave her a hug.

"Don't worry Sakura, everything will be alright, I rubbed her hair as I tried to calm her down.

I needed to make a decision.

What should I do?

[] Take Sakura out of here as soon as she finishes breakfast and head straight to the Church where I remember it is. It's better to do this quickly and get this over as fast as possible that way Zouken will have little time to react.

[] Don't take Sakura with you to the Church, visit the church and talk with Kirei first. Inform him of what's happening and request his help.

I huffed and puffed as I continued to run towards the Church.

It hurt, it hurt so much, my muscles were screaming at me to stop, begging me to let them rest and recover.

The worms had begun to slowly devour me as soon as I got too far from the Matou mansion.

They could have been faster but it was instead a slow and painful process.

I somehow knew that it could be much worse.

Zouken likely thinks that Kariya was desperate and just trying to get Sakura away without a plan.

Too bad I wasn't Kariya or else he might be right.

My muscles burned, I felt the worms wriggling and biting inside.

I wanted to give up, I just wanted to stop and lie down on the ground.

But then what was Kariya's sacrifice for? WHat had Sakura endured all that for.

I could tell Sakura was suffering as I ran and continued to carry her in my arms.

So I continued on trying my best to ignore the pain and continue to run.

People might have stared at me, but it did not matter I ignored them and continued to run.

And run.

And run.

When the church was finally in sight I felt relief, Sakura would finally be free.

I could escape that bastard.

But the relief didn't last for long as the pain suddenly became blinding.

I could no longer ignore it. it was too much.

My vision went white and I finally screamed.

But I didn't fall.

Something kept me going.

Screaming all the way.

Step by step.

Something kept me moving forward.

It was as if Kariya's spirit was pushing me onwards?

Perhaps Kariya's body knew that Sakura's salvation was so nearby and it pushed me on?

I didn't know what.

But with each step

My voice started to become hoarse I still kept screaming.

And yet my body moved closer and closer until I was finally at the gates of the church.

"By the Lord, what happened to you?!"

My screaming stopped at that.

The person in front of me was wearing a priestly attire?

Was he a priest?

Was he Kotomine?

I didn't know I couldn't see very well anymore.

My legs finally lost their strength and I fell to my knees but I didn't let go of Sakura in my arms.

"Please." My voice came out rasping. "Help her."

"Kotomine! Prepare the spiritual surgery room." The man then turned to me. "Don't worry young man, she'll be in safe hands."

"Thank you." That was all I could mutter before I fell down and the world turned black.

I hoped beyond hope that my choice was the right one.
