True, even in canon, the death rate dropped sharply after the first floor.I approve of the advance. If every floor was as bad as the first 5, all the players would be dead or too traumatized to fight by 15.
I thought that the first floor death rate was really high because 2000 people committed suicide or something like that?True, even in canon, the death rate dropped sharply after the first floor.
It was a combination of suicide, general incompetence from the general population and overconfidence from the Beta testers, and just chaos.I thought that the first floor death rate was really high because 2000 people committed suicide or something like that?
Right, a lot of people didn't really know how to play yet because it was the first release day.It was a combination of suicide, general incompetence from the general population and overconfidence from the Beta testers, and just chaos.
Here the rules keep changing. Safety keeps getting cut out from under people.Right, a lot of people didn't really know how to play yet because it was the first release day.
Pretty sure that was Silica doing that, and she doesn't know anything about Jack Slash. What was more interesting to me was that she started using Jack Slash habits. Twirling knives, "balanced on a knife's edge", I really wonder where this is going.
It's not really a fanfic thing, it's an anime thing. You often refer to people by some distinguishing feature, and there are too many anime characters who have no real distinguishing features other than their hair color.Kind of a style thing, but please stop referring to people by their hair colour. It's such a weird thing to do, I realise it crops up in a lot of fanfic, but just use their name. It's seriously awkward.

It's not always a style thing. For example, I'm just plain bad with names. Saying 'that one' or 'the guy who sits there' or other similar things when pointing to someone, or just a non-specific 'hey' when greeting someone... If people had rainbow hair colors, I'd likely use that as well.Kind of a style thing, but please stop referring to people by their hair colour. When you vary what the distinguishing characteristic is that makes it come off as a real character talking/thinking because that's how people think. The anime thing is that hair gets used too often (because there aren't enough other characteristics) which gets annoying, and some people become overly sensitive to it.In my case, it's actually a writing thing. I use hair color as an epithet because it's usually distinctive and helps reduce needless repetition. Same reason why I often refer to characters by their job and/or weapon type.
Anime does it far worse than most, but hair in general has nearly as many distinctions as the face, which is why people recognize others by it even without a rainbow of colors present. The anime thing is that hair gets used too often (because there aren't enough other characteristics) which gets annoying, and some people become overly sensitive to it.
Considering that she spent most of her time solo, I highly doubt that she would have even known about it.@violetshadows - A thought. In SAO cannon there was a point where most everyone caught in the game was moved to the hospital, and during that time many avatars got DCed temporarly while their RL body was moved. Is that going to or has happened in this story? Was Krephi affected? Did anyone but Taylor herself notice that she didn't get DCed?
If she did, she would probably just assume that since she was clearly shoved into the game by someone else, they were already keeping her in a place where she could be tended to effectively.Considering that she spent most of her time solo, I highly doubt that she would have even known about it.
When someone brings it up, she goes "wait what?"Considering that she spent most of her time solo, I highly doubt that she would have even known about it.
I think she's speaking Japanese. She's just not using her own brain to do it.That reminds me, is Taylor speaking English and it magically getting translated to Japanese?
So she's going to come back at the end and be speaking Japanese and everyone is going to be so confused.I think she's speaking Japanese. She's just not using her own brain to do it.
The brain surgery/growing QA node gave her global(?) aphasia, I figure the QA is letting her pick up language and/or reconstructing her brain/mind based on the brains tied into SAO.
Kenta: "Vindication."So she's going to come back at the end and be speaking Japanese and everyone is going to be so confused.
Lisa's going to be like Taylor what.
No this is the dubbed version. That reminds me, is Taylor speaking English and it magically getting translated to Japanese?
