I'm disappointed that we didn't get to see what happened when Cardinal tried to research Taylor's background for a suitably horrifying image, only to run head-on into the horrible bug-ridden snarl of nulls in the database regarding her

I'm actually glad they lost less people than previous (non-Illfang) fights. The rate of loss they were taking was completely unsustainable and it just makes sense for the players to get more skilled against these opponents. Of course, the bosses will keep getting tougher so the numbers will probably slowly creep up again, but if they went up from where they were everyone would just give up the idea of clearing the game.
Besides, all the people alive still have to live with memories of an excellent mind-screw that they can't completely verify as false until they get out of the game.

Cardinals is probably wildly varying the power levels of bosses right now. The first one got soloed because Khepri exploited lazy tactics, so the second got ramped up beyond simply attacking the thing with most aggro. The third was presumably kited away from the environmental hazards (whoops) that would limit his movement so the fourth got teleportation to let it move back to its area.
Hopefully they're going to stabilize soon as it gets more data .

RAG probably said it best. Taylor is a highly visible figure and when you get right down to it, all of this is 'for want of a nail.' Everything up to the First Floor Boss Meeting? It's all canon compliant. It's only when she interjects before Agil can that it all goes off the rails. In that sense, it's somewhat accurate to say that the player base is scaling to Taylor and Cardinal is scaling to the player base. It's not iron-clad, but it isn't a bad rule of thumb.
Yes and no. Potions will improve, as will skills to recover health, but in terms of overall scale? No, most injuries will be recovered in a few hours at the latest.

If we go by the fan theory that QA thought itself was Taylor during Gold Morning, It may very well latch onto Yui. Whether Yui survives the experience though I have no idea
