Freehold of Broken Dreams (Very Provisional Title)

I'm just not sure what we're supposed to, well... Do. Aside from restating information you gave in your own post.

Oh, I was kinda hoping people would start to, you know, get up and go to the Hedge Gate so that you could get the show on the road with going into the Hedge. Like, you've agreed to go, at least many of you have, and so now you have to, well, go.

But don't worry, I probably was being too vague. I'm not a super-experienced ST. :(

But yeah, to some extent, if the scene is played out, what I need players to do is decide and move towards the next scene.

Tbh like, just floating the idea, but it might be easier just to go "SCENE CHANGE: YOU'RE ALL IN THE HEDGE" I think? Since just looking at it from where I'm sitting my next couple of posts are mostly just going to be along the lines of "Mikhail comments on the swamp" "Mikhail gets up and goes to the Hedge Gate" "He waits and is grumpy as the rest of the party trickles in", I don't know what to contribute besides that and that's not exactly doing much but filling the air and I think most everyone's in the same position. The meat of the scene's over, all that's left is basically busywork and really that tends to be the death of pbp RP's since nobody really enjoys writing waffling.

We're all in broad agreement to go into the swamp and marshlands of the Hedge at the edge of the Pirate's influence (or, at least, nobody's raised a significant objection which is basically the same thing). The plan is to snag some Goblin Fruit on the way there to trade and/or have Lash, Lee, and Blackwell pump some iron in preparation for menacing hobs, since pretty much all the Fruit in the Freehold is claimed (and what isn't is probably super anemic and kinda shitty). We've got a goal and a destination.

Might be best to just ping everyone and cut to that. Dunno.

One thing everyone should start thinking about is who is going to be the trailblazer/pathsetter, fearlessly plunging the party into certain doom and Marshy death, and getting all credit/blame related to this.

Its their dice that will matter, at least in terms of navigation unless they start looking so hopeless that someone else has reason to take over for them.

I was actually considering having Mikhail flit ahead and scout all stealthy-like. Popping back in to go "hey there's a surly tree up ahead, take a right" or "there's a sunken playground watch your step" or "the alligators are making uncomfortable sex noises so just, y'know, be warned". So that'd be...Intelligence 2 + Wyrd 2 for Nevertread and then uh...

Stealth/Investigation 3 + Dexterity 3?

Not sure how amazing an idea that is though.

Shotty not it? I mean, speaking as the guy who needs to have a long, loud conversation with a weapon before being able to use it halfway-competently and no relevant survival skills?

If you do so, I'll then make you roll, feel free to make the post deciding to do so, and then we'll get to rolls. I'll tell you what to roll, just to check things over and all.

That would be the case. PbP veteran.

Lifespan inversely proprtional to number of players modified for synchronity of online schedules.

Longest lived PbP I had was 2 players, 10 months. 3 players and it fell to 4 months. 4+ died within 1 month so...
