Or use a philosopher stone to do it... A lot of poor bastards are going to be turned on Philosopher´s stones really soon.
And, unlike the Elrics, I don´t personally have any moral qualms about using one of them to recover our voice... And I wholeheartedly believe that the poor bastards trapped there would be thankful to be released.

But even then I believe that Marcoh said that he created lots of Philosophers Stones in Ishval (I am guessing that they were used mostly for the Immortal Soldier project or other less obvious things like rigging the Tectonic energy of Amestris) I am not saying is going to be easy, but I think that there will be more chances of getting our hands into one that stealing it from Kimlee
Besides that, I know that a voice chip cannot be done with an automail @Magoose , but seeing how in canon they could use Automails to replace eyes, I am guessing that some sort of substitute for our vocal cords should be achievable.

I don't know... you do have circleless alchemy... so that is a distinct advantage over Kimblee.

Well you have the News Actions: Actions you must take during the turn to make sure there is a story on the way, to investigate... and then to write one.
The News Actions Are:
Investigate, Reaserch, Interview, Photograph, Write, and Publish. the Topic of which you choose at the beginning of a story cycle (The Investigate or Reaserch portion.)
You do not need to do interviews, or do photos, and just write based on research alone, but the quality will not be that well, and you may not see the whole story.
When you write, you line tail a short blurb, usually a sentence, or two, about what you learned, and I will infer what you have written into an article. But the longer the blurb, and the better written it is... the better the article, and the more you get out of it.
Both in popularity, sales, and enemies.

Well, there are getting to know soldiers, personnel that are on the front, trying to make contact with journalists in the area, to compare notes to, practice Alchemy so you don't get rusty, assist in Humanitarian missions from other parts of the country...

Every two turns, you will need to post an article (Unless you get captured but that is different can of worms)
Each turn will cover from a few weeks, to a few months.
It really depends on what you are looking for, what you are doing research wise, and even if you are... just writing.
