[X] Something Plain

The way I read Lucina is that she'd want to blend in and observe for now.

Day - 1, Part - 5: Clothes Shopping!
A/N: Real Life have shown its ugly head again, delaying the completion of this post for a bit. Sorry about that.

[X] Let Hitomi decide

As much as you are eager to do some clothes shopping yourself, you realize that you really do not know the local fashion tastes. Sure, you have observed the attire of the people around you, but there is such a wide variety from the seemingly calm to the highly bizarre, especially that girl over there with the revealing outfit that resembles a bunny or a Taguel. In the end, all you might do is embarrass yourself with an equally bizarre outfit.

"Actually, why not you decide, Hitomi?" you answered. "After all, since you are paying for the clothes, you can help choose for me."

Hitomi smiled. "That's fine with me. I know of a store that is just perfect for you! Come on!"

Taking you by the hand, she quickly led you into one of the larger clothes stores in the mall. You noted that she has a rather firm grip despite her elegant appearance...

What follows was your longest clothes shopping session you had in your life up until now as you tried out different combinations of tops, bottoms, and accessories while Hitomi continued to bring more clothes for you to try on. There was a rather large pile of clothes left in a heap beside some shelves once you and Hitomi actually decided on an outfit. That outfit consists of a sky-blue shirt with long sleeves, a white skirt that's made out of a sturdy rough fabric and is shorter than Hitomi's, a pair of grey leggings to preserve your modesty, and set of black and lacy small-clothes (you noted that Hitomi was surprised when she noticed that you are not wearing any). You also settled to buy a large blue cloth bag called a duffel bag to hold your items in. Hitomi quickly paid for your new items while you quickly went into a changing stall to change into your new clothes.

While you put on your new clothes, you quickly checked all of the items you were carrying. You have Falchion, your sword and the only reminder of your quest and home. In addition, you have two bottles of vulneraries to heal whatever wounds you may encounter. Looking at them made you realize that the total amount of doses that you have would not be enough to last the entire quest and that you will need to get some more. Maybe there is a medicine shop that Hitomi can point you in the direction of?

The last item that you had on your clothes is… definitely something you are sure that you didn't bring with you. As you are checking your pockets, you came across something awe-inspiring that fills you with great excitement and fear…

To the untrained eye and mind, it looks like an ordinary card the size of a common playing card with a person's portrait on the front. However, the amount of magic that you can sense radiating from the card tells that this is indeed an Einherjar card! These cards bear the powerful souls of great warriors and mages of the past, waiting for a master to summon them forth into existence to do whatever it is required of them. To have even a minor one in your possession is a major boon to you and your cause, but you did wonder where did it come from, since you definitely know that you didn't have this card with you when you started this journey…

A knock on the door of the changing stall snapped you out of your thoughts.

"Lucina?" Hitomi called out. "Are you done? You're taking a while to change."

"I'm almost done," you replied as you quickly put the Einherjar card into the duffel bag along with the rest of your old clothes and items except the Falchion. You quickly put on the rest of your new clothes and left the stall to join with Hitomi, who seemed to have three more girls with her. One of them has pink hair tied up in pig-tails, another one has light blue hair cut to a rather short length, and the third has blond hair twirled into rather nice curls like the one Brady's mother had when she was alive...

By the way, what was the class of the Einherjar that you have gotten?

[] Mercenary
[] Knight
[] Cavalier
[] War Cleric
[] Mage
[] Archer

[X] War Cleric

I want to vote mercenary, but we need a healer much more badly. That it's a fighting healer does make me feel better about picking them though.

[X] War Cleric

The Einherjar was a war cleric, female battlefield healers that can heal with their staves and hurt with their iron. Indeed, the flaming-red haired Einherjar named Beatrice has the looks of a typical Yllisean War Cleric, a simple but sturdy healer's dress underneath some lighter armor with a healing stave in one hand and a well-crafted iron axe to her side. Having a healer for a companion will be very beneficial to you in the long run, for a healing stave and some knowledge of first aid will be much better than consuming expensive medicines whenever something bad happens. Yes, you know that Falchion can heal you just a good as some of the more stronger medicines, but you can't really rely on it all of the time, especially in the middle of combat...

You halted your thoughts quickly as Hitomi spoke up.

"Ah! Lucina! We have been waiting for you to finish. Let me introduce to my friends."

She gestured to the pink-haired girl. "This is Madoka Kaname. She's one of my best friends."

She then gestured to the blue-haired girl. "This is Sayaka Miki. She's a good friend and she's also Madoka's friend."

She then finally gestured to the blonde girl. "And this is Mami Tomoe. She's apparently Madoka's and Sayaka's new friend and they just introduced her to me."

She then turned to look at her friends. "Everyone, this is Lucina. She is a professional cosplayer. I found her laying on the ground because someone robbed her and knocked her out in the park. I was just getting her new clothes to wear until she can get her stolen items back."

Madoka and Sayaka bowed as a welcoming gesture while Mami curtseyed. You bowed back just to be polite. "It is nice to meet you, Lucina," Madoka spoke. "I'm sorry for what has happened to you. Something like this never really happen in
Mitakihara."

"That's okay," you replied. "I am sure that I will get all of my items back. It is only a matter of time."

Mami smiled. "If you want, I can help keep on the look out for it. You just have to describe your stolen bag. And-"

The sound of a stomach growling interrupted Mami as you and everyone else looked at Sayaka. She blushed slightly in embarrassment.

"Ah... Ha ha… That reminds me," Sayaka spoke awkwardly. "I didn't have much to eat for lunch, so I was thinking that we should continue talking while having snacks at the café or something..."

Hitomi smiled. "I guess we could do that. What do you think Lucina?"

You smiled back. "I would be happy to join you."

Sayaka grabbed your hand and Hitomi's. "That's great! I know of just the perfect spot!"

And with that, she somewhat dragged you and Hitomi to the café while Mami and Madoka followed behind.

Soon enough, the five of you arrived at the café. Like the rest of the mall, the architecture and activity within the café threatened to overwhelm your mind and senses as you were showered with images of people happily talking and eating away at various foods that makes the most luxurious meals that you had up until now look like prison food. But, then again, really good food was very hard to come by when Grima and the Risen have managed to ruin all of the farmland and kill all of the fish, game, livestock, and orchards...

Snapping back into reality, you realize that your newfound friends would expect to ask what you want. What should you say in response?

[] Something plain.
[] Something creamy.
[] Something fruity.
[] Something sweet.
[] Something spicy.
[] Something filling.

On the other note, Mami did offer to find your "stolen" bag. Should you take her up on the offer?

[] Yes. You should come up with a convincing description. Every normal person would take help for finding lost or stolen items.
[] No. You really haven't lost anything and Mami's search could reveal your lie. Hopefully by ignoring the offer, they will forget about the offer of help.

[X] Something sweet.

[X] Yes. You should come up with a convincing description. Every normal person would take help for finding lost or stolen items.

I feel like Lucina would try to take advantage of food she doesn't get frequently, and sweet food falls under that category. And of course, there's little harm in giving a description of a bag that doesn't exist for the sake of blending in.
