They shared a peace forged in wisdom, a peace that lasted many generations. All that was lost when mankind disrupted this balance in a sudden onslaught.

Man fought dragon in a savage war that shook the foundations of their world. This war was called The Scouring.

Defeated and humbled, dragons vanished from the realm. In time, man rebuilt and spread his dominion across the land and on to the islands beyond.

A thousand years have passed since those dark days ended.

Your name is Roy, son of Eliwood, the Marquess of Pherae. As the son of the Marquess, you are your father's successor. One day, you will rule the land of Pherae as the Marquess, but you do not expect to actually become the Marquess right away.

Your father, Eliwood, is no longer a young man he used to be. Ever since the death of your mother, your father's health has worsened to the point he is incapable of performing his duties as the Marquess of Pherae any longer. Knowing that he can no longer rule the land well due to his deteriorating health, he entrusts you the responsibilities of being the ruler of the land even though you are still very young.

Knowing that your father has gone through a lot, you accept your new responsibilities as the Marquess of Pherae. While your father is still officially the Marquess of Pherae, you will be the one to perform most of the duties of the Marquess. Your father's advisers are going to provide you assistance that you need in order to rule the land.

As for your father, he deserves a good rest after everything that has happened, including losing his beloved wife. She died a few years ago, when you were nine years old.

Your mother was a kind, gentle woman. You still remember that time when she told you bedtime stories before you went to bed. It's no wonder your father was left devastated by her death. You know that you may also end up devastated if you lose the love of your life just like how your father lost his.

When she was still alive, your mother was loved by the people of Pherae, even though she wasn't from Pherae herself. The people of Pherae were also saddened by her death, and you can understand why.

Your mother was also the one who made the way you are today, and you are thankful of her. Your mother was...

Turn 1

Lycia, also known as Lycian League, is a country geographically located in the center of the continent of Elibe, and was founded by one of the Eight Legends, Roland the Champion. It is made up of a federation of numerous territories, each ruled by a powerful Marquess, and those leaders form a council which governs the country.


Your father, Eliwood, is the Marquess of one of the territories in Lycia, Pherae. But, due to his deteriorating health and grief over the death of his wife, Ninian, he is no longer the man he was years ago. Knowing that he no longer fits to govern Pherae as the Marquess, he asks you to rule Pherae in his stead. He delivers his request in reluctance, knowing that you are still too young to take over his position as the Marquess, but you accept his request. On paper, your father is still the Marquess of Pherae, but the one to actually do the job is you, his son.

Even so, you are still young. While you may have learned many things about running a state, doing the real thing is another matter altogether. Your father reassures you that two of his oldest advisors, Marcus and Merlinus, will be by your side to advise you. Running a state is a rather daunting task, but you accept it head on. After all, it is for your father's sake.

TURN 1

You arrive at the meeting room only to find your father's advisors, Marcus and Merlinus, are already there. It seems that you are late in your first council meeting, much to your embarrassment. Luckily, both of them don't seem to mind your tardiness much, knowing that you are new in this kind of matter. But, you keep it in mind to not be late again for the later meetings.


Marcus is a veteran knight who has fought alongside your father in countless battles. Despite his age, you can clearly see that he still hasn't lost his touch. While his body may have been weakened due to his old age, you know that Marcus is not a man to be trifled with in and outside of battlefields.


As for Merlinus, he is not a warrior like Marcus, but he is good in management and stewardship. He's a little cranky and outspoken, but from what your father had told you before, he wasn't always like this. When he was younger, he was more timid and kind.

After everything gets sorted out, the meeting commences.

[ ] Trading Rocks: Surprisingly, high-quality stones can be found at the mountain region which is located at the east of Pherae. Quarries can be built at the areas in order to extract the stones. Cost: 100gp. Time: 1 month. Chance: 75%. Reward: Rock quarries unlocked. Income increased.

[ ] Let The Businesses Bloom: You know that businessmen are waiting for an opportunity to open their businesses in Pherae. Intrigue: Well, you have no spymaster at the moment, so you have to make do with Marcus for the time being. He's not one to be underestimated, though. He's definitely experienced in things like spying and subterfuge.

Stopping the criminal activities is impossible at the moment, but you know that finding out about them can help you achieve such a goal. Cost: 0gp. Time: 1 month. Chance: 65%.
