Considering how strong he is, shouldn't he be bulletproof? I mean, considering how durable his body would need to be just to handle his own strength ...

Super strong doesn't always include super tough.Dimensionist said:Considering how strong he is, shouldn't he be bulletproof? I mean, considering how durable his body would need to be just to handle his own strength ...
Spoiler: He can increase muscle strength or resilience by flexing. He actually triggered in prison, in the yard.SolipsistSerpen said:Okay, why? See above. If he's not bulletproof, covering his face doesn't do anything and if he is, why is he bothered by being shot in the leg? I was thinking she'd blinded him and he was instinctively reaching towards his now ruined eyes because then at least he'd have a reason.
Or he's just vain and is mentally shouting 'Not the face, not the face!'SolipsistSerpen said:No, but if your reaction to someone drawing a pistol is to cover your face instead of dive for cover, it sounds like you expect your hands to stop bullets from going in your eyes.

Spiteful Sea Tincture is probably the best - and certainly the best relative to how easy it is to get - Poison effect in the game. In fact, as written, it's kind of too good, because you can stack layers of skin-contact poison and a single touch is enough to administer all the doses. It's what's known as a "Bad Touch" effect, because a person with Spiteful Sea Tincture doesn't even need to hurt you to poison you, and it shoots your dice pools to hell from the internal penalty it causes - and it does no small amount of damage, either.Undead-Spaceman said:Great Mother's Tears would allow her to manufacture knock out poisons (I assume, the charm text on the wiki is kinda vague) although the prerequisite charm could be tricky (seriously, what good is the ability to paint toxic tattoos?),
Well, you know, I strongly doubt any of the Endbringers will be Reviled.rkbinder said:Would Kimberly Charms automatically or possibly treat Leviathan as a traitor or reviled person?
Well, it's fortunate then that she just discovered / started using water-based powers. She could pretend to be an entirely different cape. Again.MinuSeven said:And... well, yeah, that's it. She escaped but got 'revealed', the PRT now certainly know there is a shadow-type cape lying around, but do they know she's 'on their side' (for a given value of 'their' and other moral quandaries)?
Her only "new" power right now is swimming. Very good swimming, but still.Yog said:Well, it's fortunate then that she just discovered / started using water-based powers. She could pretend to be an entirely different cape. Again.
Ah, so it makes the tattoos poisonous on contact kinda like a toad. That makes much more sense, in fact I feel stupid now for not realizing that.EarthScorpion said:With the base Charm, a single dose won't kill a healthy person, but it will make their next 20 seconds or so incredibly painful and internal-penalty filled. And it can be applied by as little as a touch with a poison-tattooed fingertip.
I too, would like to see this.gideon020 said:You know what's going to be amusing? If at the end of this, Taylor accomplishes the Reclamation, by yanking the Yozi into her universe instead of Creation.
Granted that's essentially a bad end, but it would fit for the source material.
The Endbringers are fighting an uphill battle to liberate humanity of its attachment to the material world despite being vastly outnumbered. Adorjani!Taylor finds their misguided determination endearing, but thinks they need to internalize their own lessons, so because of her overflowing desire to spread compassion and enlightenment, she's going to help them.EarthScorpion said:Well, you know, I strongly doubt any of the Endbringers will be Reviled.
Unless, you know, she loved them first.
(so... Adorjan Charms yay?)
You can also apply them to things like beloved (ie, you have a positive Intimacy towards them) weapons and the like, so if she gets very fond of her taser she could have it apply poison as well as tazing. Which is probably more useful when you have the painless, safe poison upgrade, admittedly.Undead-Spaceman said:Ah, so it makes the tattoos poisonous on contact kinda like a toad. Thanks for clearing that up though.
Oh, not just swimming. Mother Sea Mastery is, much like Transcendent Desert Creature, one of those Infernal "why would you not get it" Charms.MinuSeven said:Her only "new" power right now is swimming. Very good swimming, but still.
... OTOH, this is miss munchkin herself...
Well, even better then, though I doubt she realizes that herself. Yet.EarthScorpion said:*snip*
Of course, the fact that she can now swim Essence times faster, at the cost of living an ichor trail, is also very nice, especially since swimming is still a form of movement which benefits from Adorjan Charms.
My understand was that Beloved objects were "inanimate objects you have a positive intimacy over OR you own". Has that been Errata'd?EarthScorpion said:You can also apply them to things like beloved (ie, you have a positive Intimacy towards them) weapons and the like, so if she gets very fond of her taser she could have it apply poison as well as tazing. Of course, this ichor trail only applies if she uses the special 'travel Essence times faster'.gideon020 said:Basically she leaves behind a sort of slime trail while travelling. It can be anything thematically from bloody footprints, to congealed blood, and possibly in Taylor's case, something similar to a toxic oil slick. So long as it leaves a clear trail while she travels.
She can take any charm she wants but charms belonging to her Caste or Favored Yozi are cheaper, I think. That or she learns them faster.malhavoc431 said:So I have to ask. Is Taylor limited by her Fiend Caste to what Charms she can take or is it a free for all in terms of what she gets to play with?
No, just Malfeas shining through. Heh. Shining through.gideon020 said:Reckless and inconsiderate of consequences, one has to wonder if it is truly heroism she seeks, or her own destruction?
Cheaper (caste/favored are 8 XP, others are 10 XP)Undead-Spaceman said:She can take any charm she wants but charms belonging to her Caste or Favored Yozi are cheaper, I think. That or she learns them faster.
Well, she is feeling enough guilt that she needs to do something. Very Malfean indeed.gideon020 said:Reckless and inconsiderate of consequences, one has to wonder if it is truly heroism she seeks, or her own destruction?
Probably Noelle, the Mob aren't THAT quick...illhousen said:New entry on the list of things Taylor should carry with her: waterproof bags.
So, my guess is either the Mob moves to seize territory like Arkeus speculated. Or it is a start of Noelle's rampage. Either way it shall be fun.
