Fate/Stay Royal

Krika's Grand Information Recording
Due to the Great War being invoked in insufficient spiritual lands, certain Master Privileges have been revoked. You will have to keep track of Servant Stats on your own, you can only see the status of Servants that you can see right now.

I'm sure people remember this line right? Right.

Also can someone try and gather every info we have on Mordred for now. Like an information Matrix?

You know for future reference.

Well, one person did.

Let's get out an old-fashioned notepad and start taking notes. If necessary, explanations will be noted in italics. Descriptions are sourced from this thread (obviously) or the wiki (because I'm lazy - better descriptions will be found as I find time and motivation - maybe I'll steal the short descriptions from GO mats). Canonical Noble Phantasms will be abbreviated as necessary, as I have no desire to bloat this with more than a paragraph per listing when ya'll can look up the full thing.

Updated through "Just Ramen".

Servant of White

Identity: Mordred, "Witch-Knight of Ravages"
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Master: Bazett Fraga McRemitz

Strength: C+
Endurance: ???
Agility: A
Mana: A
Luck: B > C > D > C (cursed by her catalyst, capable of being raised in combat through unknown means)
NP: ???

Class Skills:
Boundary Interference (A): A corruption of the Territory Creation skill possessed by Servants who specialize in invasion. The ability to pierce a barrier and deconstruct it with ruthless efficiency. At A Rank, even the sacred realm of Avalon can be pierced and destruction rent upon it. Since the barrier is interfered with on a fundamental level, this skill can be said to be the bane of a Magus' Atelier.
Item Construction (C): The Skill to manufacture magical items, from implements of war to items for daily use. Also, this skill requires time to gather components and manufacture items. In Caster's case, since her abilities are druidic in nature, she possess exceptional ability to create concoctions and other magical potions, but her ability to make magical items is fairly average.

Personal Skills:
Charisma (D): A rare talent that consists of a composite of a person's general likeability as well as their ability to command others. The morale of military forces she commands is high, but this comes and the expense of their combat ability. Since she possesses a force of will that attracts others to her, it is difficult to disagree with Caster.
Magical Burst (A): The ability to increase performance by infusing one's weapons and body with Magical Energy and instantly expelling it. Simply put, recreating the effect of a jet burst by expending large amounts of Magical Energy. At Rank A, even a stick can become a weapon of great power. A normal weapon that is not on the level of a divine Mystery can be destroyed in one blow. Can also raise one's defense several times over.
Tempest Magus (B): A unique skill that evolved from Instinct. The ability to dictate the flow of battle, much like a raging tempest dictates the flow of the surrounding land. While Instinct is a sixth sense that allows one to detect how the battle will proceed, this evolution provides a further feeling to elicit how the battle should proceed. Simply put, it is the supernatural ability to predict and dictate the course of battle like a raging hurricane. There is a side effect that is related to the magecraft employed by the user, but this magic seems to be considered a state secret. At B Rank, there is no regard for collateral damage. As a bonus effect, the penalties for lacking senses are halved.
Will to Prevail (B+): ??? As a side effect, the owner's Luck parameter takes a huge penalty.

Noble Phantasm(s):
Clarent Marmyadose( Infernal Ravages of Ruin) (A+, Anti-Country): Inheritance/Corruption Phantasm. The original rank would be A++. At current, it is merely A+ due to being stolen. The cracked and damaged sword Marmyadose, stolen from the treasury of King Arthur, was repaired by filling the central portion that had been damaged with Clarent. As a result, the normal inferno blade has been magnified. Normally, deploying it would be impossible in this state, but since Mordred has a strong association with the Three Ravages, it has been granted the ability to cast a hellish flame that can be called the opposite of Excalibur's light. At least, that is what Mordred claims, but the nature of the Noble Phantasm doesn't appear to have changed that much.

??? (B+, Barrier): ???

Miscellaneous:
Weak to Illusion magic
Elementalism: The ability to cast magic by invoking elemental faeries. Since it is based in abilities from the bloodline, it's not possible to teach or learn unless you already have the talent.
Summoned by the grail to oppose Zero Saber( Gilgamesh)
Professes to not be human.
Invisible Air( Tempest of the Witch King) (C, Barrier): A magic spell taught to a certain King by the court wizard. Its original purpose was to hide the identity of the sacred sword, but it also possesses strong defensive properties. In the case of Caster, who has no reason to hide her armaments, it sees its use in this defensive form. The body is encased in a tempest that shrugs off most attacks and cuts those that come near. Technically, its original purpose can also be used, but Caster seems to think it's a waste of effort.
Looks identical to Lancer of Red( King Arthur) .
Dislikes the title "Witch of the Pale Lilies"

Personal Skills:
Familiar (Wolves) (D): A magical talent for deploying wolves as familiars. They serve as both eyes and ears in scouting and have varied uses in combat.
Rune Magic (B): Exact effects unknown
Uncrowned Arms Mastery: A rare skill for the use of weapons not acknowledged in life. In Lancer's case, his spearmanship was not actually recorded in myth. As a result, his ranks in combat abilities appear to only be of averaging level until his identity is revealed, and his skill in Runic Magic is hidden entirely.

Noble Phantasm(s):
Blath Draioct Dearg( Shame of Ulain) (B, ???): A spear given to Lancer by Aife, his mother and teacher. Allows him to paint runes at a distance and acts as a "tuning fork" for his magic. For unknown reasons, it bears a remarkable similarity to Gae Bolg.
Fainne Draiocht Conla( The Hidden and the Unknown) (B, Anti-Unit (self)): Hidden treasure. A ring born by Conla that is the only mark of his identity. The true Noble Phantasm is not the ring itself, but the geas binding Conla, which hides his identity and curses him to anonymity. While the curse is active, his abilities are displayed incorrectly. Since he is under a geas, his parameters enjoy a significant boost, whoever this also prevents his identification by a Master and he is immune to the targeting effects of spells that require a name whilst he is hidden.

Miscellaneous:
Conla may not give his name. Conla may not refuse a challenge. Conla must fight until he dies. Conla must fight as many foes as possible. Conla may only fight using equivalent forces of arms.

Personal Skills:
Divinity (B): The divinity of the Son of Lugh. As a result, Rider is considered a solar deity. In addition to the ability to activate purge defense, a bonus effect is granted. As rider, this manifests as a potential second mount, however the adult version elects not to take this bonus at all. In a sense, the young version is the only one truly in touch with his own Divinity, for as an adult, it's become another obstacle to overcome.
Martial Arts of the Land of Shadows (A+): Knowledge of the combat arts of the Land of Shadows. The training of Scathatch has already begun to temper the mind and body into a weapon that would allow Rider to one day claim the name Cu Chulainn. Depending on whether he is a young man or an adult, the end result is that he bears this skill, or it transmogrifies into the Noble Phantasm, Gae Bolg. For Rider, this skill has reached it's zenith. Unhindered by class restrictions, Setanta can freely display all of the martial arts training he accrued from the Land of Shadows, however, for obvious reasons, he is missing all the Noble Phantasms that would normally be associated with the name Cu Chulainn. It can be said that Rider is both the best and worst class for Setanta to materialize as for this reason.
Rune Magic (???): Hypothetical skill, as Rider has displayed at least some proficiency in Runes, which would not fit under any of his known skills.

Noble Phantasms:
Failinis( Solar Light that Shoots through the Forest) (Rank B, Familiar): The hound of Lugh. In the case of Rider, it is on loan due to his divinity score. It is said that the hound of Lugh displays dominion over all beasts and can turn water into wine, but these feats seem highly exaggerated. At least, that's what Riders says. Since Failinis laughs the entire time he says this, at least some of it is probably incorrect.

Fragarach( Wind Whisperer) (B+, Anti-Unit): Another function of the Answerer. This one is used by the Hound of Ulster while the blade is on loan. A tempest summoning sword that roars when swung. As a side effect, those who speak within the din of the tempest cannot lie.

Gae Bolg( Last Tears That Birth The Great Hero) (???, ???): Can only be invoked once by Rider of Black. An acknowledgement of the hero he would become, leaving behind the life he currently inhabits. Whether this simply alters his Spirit Origin to another shape or destroys it in trying is unknown.

Geas of the Hound( Valiant Warrior's Oaths) (A+, Anti-Unit (self)): The oaths of the Hound of Ulster. A great source of physical and spiritual strength. It is said that there are over one hundred in total. So long as an oath made with the Hound is kept, the physical parameters and spiritual being are enhanced. However, if the oaths are broken, then the status rapidly declines. In the case of Setanta, who took and gave many oaths, this Noble Phantasm can be used to gain great strength he was not summoned with, and grant that strength to others. The strength given by the oath is corresponding to the difficulty of breaking it. At the time his elder self died, this Noble Phantasm had been lost, as most of his oaths had been knowingly or unknowingly violated, and as a result, his future self's personal status is unusually low for Ireland's greatest hero.

Miscellaneous:
Allied with Caster of Red( Jack the Ripper)
Doesn't have his full adult experience with his unarmed fighting style, nor is it fully adapted for his shorter height.

Caster of White( Mordred) matches the description as being similar in some capacity to Laevatainn( Sword like Sun, Become a Calamity) .

Personal Skills:
Independent Manifestation (C): A skill gained through the combination of Perfect Shape and Independent Action. The body remains in the world indefinitely, and additional energy is requisitioned form the surrounding area as necessary. The body returns to it's default state without any consideration from the Servant.
Perfect Transfiguration (A): A skill mutated from Transfiguration. By draining magical energy from the surrounding lands, the parameters can be freely set for the body. However, unlike normal Transfiguration, there is a mandatory Mana rank. It seems there is another effect, but what it is remains hidden.
Presence Detection (A > D): Implicit reason for the reduced rank is due to the lack of mana in the land.

Noble Phantasm(s):
End of Babylon( The Genocide of the People) (A++, Anti-Humanity): Allows Archer to mimic the shape and concepts of high-end Noble Phantasms via some method.

Dual Class: Possession of the qualifications of two classes. Unlike the cheat skill Double Class, in which two aspects of the same Servant are called forth simultaneously, in this case, the Aspects of Caster and Assassin, drawing from the same anecdote, have become inseparable. As a result, the Servant summoned is simultaneously Caster and Assassin. A rare skill possessed by a rarer still kind of Servant. In this case, perhaps it is because the aspect of Assassin was embedded so thoroughly in his forging qualifications that separating them had become impossible.

Class Skills:
Item Construction (E): The ability to create magical items and potions. In the case of Caster of Red, the level is definitely the very lowest possible for a Caster. She can make things, though the method of how she does so tends towards the nonsensical. Indeed, perhaps it is the fact that her true identity was completely unknown that allows her to make such a large variety of things, but their quality as Mystic Armament is very low.
Territory Creation (C): Exact effects unknown, however it is capable of chaining up Rider of Red's( Herakles') Cerberus( The Hound of Hell) and preventing it from being resummoned as long as Caster is present.

Personal Skills:
Hidden Shell (C-): The body does not appear to be that of a Servant, and as a result, detection becomes very difficult. In the cast of Caster of Red, there is a condition upon this skill. Namely, it only functions during the daytime. Thanks to this, she can hide at any time during the day, though if she starts exercising her abilities as a Servant, then her presence immediately escalates. A subspecies skill of Presence Concealment, however one that is considered an embarrassment to have, as there is no chance of a surprise attack.
Magus Killer (C++): The ability to slay a Magus. An ability of the Caster version of Jack the Ripper, as an unknown sorceress that hunted female magi for an unknown reason. The rank suddenly increases if the opponent is female and it becomes nighttime, however against most magi the mysteries that they rely on for defense becomes things to be defeated. As a side-effect, Caster's problem solving skills are unusually exceptional, even if she cannot explain her logic.
Surgery (E): ???

Noble Phantasms:
The Mist (C+, Barrier): Barrier Phantasm. The wild, smog-filled, and winding streets of smoky London. Normally, there is an effect to constrict the lungs, but that effect is relegated to Assassin's version of this Noble Phantasm. The local area turns into a labyrinthine maze, and the targets begin to wander in circles. Since the Noble Phantasm's main target is females, it becomes very difficult for them to escape without outside help. However, on the flips side, they are also separated from their companions.
From Hell( Murderer of the Misty Nights) (C++, Anti-Unit): The secondary function of the Mist. Within the Mist is Jack. No matter where Jack originally was, her location can be immediately transferred to within the Mist. A Noble Phantasm akin to cheating, the reality is no one knows where Jack really is. As a side effect, the first attack is always to the organs, and is always a surprise attack. Against a female target at night, it is also fatal. However, deployment in this fashion is difficult due to the preparation involved.

Noble Phantasm(s):
Cerberus( The Hound of Hell) (B+, Familiar): The beast that guards the underworld in Greek myth. Since it is a beast of death, it does not die when it receives mortal wounds and has no concerns for things such as mortality. Since its eyes are golden, it must retain some level of 'Authority'.

Godhand( The Twelve Labors) (???, ???): A curse on the body to always survive what last killed it. Has lives related to the Twelve Labors. One life has been confirmed to have been lost.

Marmyadose (???, ???): Fiery sword-staff. Unknown effects, Rider bears the original version.

??? (???, ???): A mount of Rider's, a great mare. Presumed to be the Mares of Diomedes.

??? (???, ???): Hydra venom arrows. Appears to need to be produced manually by some means, and thus Rider has an effectively limited stock in any given engagement.

Personal Skills:
Discernment of the Poor (A): Insight that sees through others' personality and attribute. He can't be deceived by verbal excuses and deceptions. It displays the power to grasp others' nature, which Karna got because his status as a man with no family blessed him with the opportunity to question the lives and the worth of the weak.
Divinity (E): Normally, as a son of Surya, Saber would enjoy the highest aptitude of Divinity. However, in his Alter state, the Divinity is discarded in exchange for the weapon of the Guru. As a bonus effect, Saber enjoys a bonus against opposing Sun Divinities.
Kalaripyattu (A+): An ancient Indian martial art, said to be the birthplace of all martial arts that are based on rational thought. Since it is highly defensive, it is most appropriate for feeling out the opponent. In Saber's case, his mastery of it is actually greater than his skill with his summoned weapon, so he uses it as his primary means of fighting.
Magical Burst (Corrosion) (A): ???

Noble Phantasm(s):
Brahmastra Kundala( O' Brahma, Curse Me) (A+, Anti-Country): Karna's hidden Noble Phantasm. His trump card. The projectile weapon Brahmastra is bestowed with the sweltering heat effect of Karna's attribute and then fired. The Brahmastra, which already had a wide effective range to begin with, has its effective range further widened and its power exceptionally raised. Its performance is to the point of being compared to nuclear weapons. The rank and scale of this Noble Phantasm remain unconfirmed. It is tentatively marked at where it rests for this Servant's Lancer incarnation, who uses it with his spear, but as Saber likely channels it through his fists instead of a projectile, it is possible that the specifics could be altered by this.

Kavacha and Kundala (C, Anti-Unit): Fearing becoming an unmarried mother, Karna's mother, Kunti, for the sake of protecting her son, begged Surya for protection and was bestowed golden armor and an earring. Emitting the radiance of the sun, the armor is a strong defensive Noble Phantasm. As it is an existence formed from light even gods find it difficult to destroy. It has become one with Karna's body. Would normally be an A-rank Noble Phantasm, but manifests here at a lower rank for an unknown reason.

Nagastra( O Nagas, Devour Me) (B, Anti-Unit): Demonic Treasure. A divine weapon handed down by the Naga of Hindu myth. The delivery method in the case of Saber of Red is his fists. A torrent of serpents who have imbibed the accurse poison are launched at the enemy. It is considered one of the signature Astra of the hero, Karna( Alter) . Since Saber of Red is not actually a proper swordsman, his fists and this Noble Phantasm see use as his main weapon. The poison is lethal, as a matter of course, and dissolves the insides like acid. This is also the source of Saber of Red's Magical Burst (Corrosion) ability. Since it's magical energy cost is relatively efficient, he can use it even when he has to conserve energy.

Divided Hatred (EX): So long as the grudges of old persist, the bodies will continue to rise. As the bodies deplete, the main body will begin to realize the futility of its hate. A divide and multiply skill that usually would be rendered as a Noble Phantasm, however, since the body cannot sustain a large amount of magical energy, the number of bodies is limited by other factors.
Sin of Murder (A): The ability to annihilate human beings. Against humans, victory is an eventual certainty. However, since the skill makes no claim to the speed or probability, due to Avenger's own temperament, it often takes such an extreme long time that being guaranteed to win becomes pointless, since the prey escapes. Perhaps the adage of wait and hope was not so foolish.

Miscellaneous:

Avenger (D): The accumulation of all the hatred and grudges of the world into a single body. The advent of ones existence as an aspect of "All the World's Evils". In this state, hatred and grudges have accumulated, however, there is no rhyme or reason as to why. It becomes easier for grudges and hate to grow in the local vicinity, but at the same time, the power of those in the vicinity also grow.
Lament of the Sorrowful (B): The sobs and tears of the remorseful and the sorrowful. A skill that allows for the general attack on the moon of those in the surrounding area. Charism a of B or less are negated in its vicinity. Since it is a mental attack that obliterates the mental fortitude of those surrounding, it is difficult to combat it.
Pankration (B): DATA HIGH ERROR. SKILL NOT FOUND
Rite of Exorcism (D++): Specialized Church Magecraft form. For Caster, it is a substitute for the arcanities normally found within the class. Since Church Magic is a truly rare phenomenon, it is likely that some measure of Fey arcanity has been merged with the Church forms to boost their power at repelling spirits. However, since the power has been boosted so high, sudden sublimation of the spirit being targeted has been known to occur.

Noble Phantasm(s):
Knight of Owner( A Knight Does Not Die With Empty Hands) (A++, Anti-Unit): Hypothetical Noble Phantasm, given Caster of Curses' identity and their description as provided by Caster of Red( Jack the Ripper) .

Miscellaneous:
Described by Caster of Red( Jack the Ripper) as "A knight in black who owns all he can hold. His sword is a great silver blade and he cleaves evil in two. That is the fourth Caster. He lives but is not alive. He fights and cries every step of the way."
An aspect summoned by Avenger to reenact the events of the previous War, and thus not a proper Servant.
Possesses Black Keys: An Exorcism Armament possessed by the Church. Against spiritual bodies, they possess an unusual level of effectiveness. In the case of Lancelot, his ability to use them is derived from a faith held late in life. As a result, their effectiveness is low on enemies designated as 'Monsters', but high on spirits and revenants.

Divinity (B (A+)): Gilgamesh's original value as a 2/3 demigod. He possesses the highest level of Divinity among many of the Heroic Spirits. However, he despises the gods because they killed his friend Enkidu, unleashed the Bull of Heaven onto the earth, and caused him much trouble. As a result, his Divinity decreased.
Golden Rule (A): Being fated a life that is filled with riches, he can live as a millionaire. Gilgamesh lives the life of a nabob and has no money troubles for the entirety of his life. In the legend, he claimed all the world's treasures as his own and is said to have infinite wealth in his Golden Capital. The originals of Noble Phantasms preserved in his treasury were collected during this period. Although this ability seems unrelated to battle, it plays a great role in arming Gilgamesh.

Noble Phantasm(s):
Enuma Elish( The Star of Creation That Split Heaven and Earth) (EX, Anti-World): The sword that cuts and divides the World, with output matching or even exceeds Artoria's Excalibur. Its power will further increase given the support of Noble Phantasms within Gate of Babylon. More correctly speaking, "Sword of Rupture – Ea" is the Noble Phantasm, "Enuma Elish" is the state under which Sword of Rupture – Ea unleashes its maximum output. By generating wind pressure strata, the attack crushes the enemies by simulating spatial rends. In addition, the names "Sword of Rupture – Ea" and "Enuma Elish" are all given by Gilgamesh. They are thought to be references to the Great God Ea (Enki) of the Mesopotamian and Babylonian myths, and the Genesis Epic of the Babylonian myth, Enuma Elish.

Sha Naqba Imuru( The Omnipresent and Omnipotent Star of Knowledge) (EX > B, Anti-Unit): Hero King Gilgamesh's mentality, which reaches every corner of the world like the radiance of the stars and sees through all of creation, sublimated into a Noble Phantasm. A Noble Phantasm of the Constantly Invoked-Type. Not to mention an opponent's True Name and Noble Phantasm(s), it can definitely see even a truth hidden underneath multiple layers without obstruction and with a single glance. Although it is in a state where it seems to be constantly invoked, one can also assume from appearances that some parts of the Noble Phantasm's ability are being intentionally limited. If its True Name is released, it will operate as "instructions" for Gilgamesh to guide himself and others with the most optimum tactics according to the situation presented to him, simultaneously increasing the offensive power and defensive power of his whole team near his own position. It is unknown why this ability has been ranked-down, nor what effects this has on it's performance. The description given is for the version at full strength and will be revised when further detail becomes available.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

Rhongomyniad( World Piercing Nail of Light) (???, Anti-World): A Noble Phantasm used by a Lancer in the previous war. Called a "sacred nail" by Caster of White( Mordred) , can be mimicked by Archer of Red.
While Caster of White( Mordred) considers it merely an academic curiosity, she thinks another "nail" is present in the Great War.
During the confrontation between Saber of Red( Karna Alter) and Saber of Black, an A-ranked effect drew the bystanders and uninvolved away from the path of the battlefield, by means that caused emergency services to not respond to the rather obvious fight.
The Gouging Sword of the War God: Fragarach( That Which Strikes Last Cuts First) (A, Anti-Unit): Anti-Causality Sword. The last answer of Lugh. That which is drawn last cuts first. Time is rewritten and the enemy is slain before the deployment of their trump card. One of the Gods-Holder weapons in the modern age, it's a mystery is hidden in Bazett's blood.
Caster of Red( Jack the Ripper) claims that at last one Servant in the war can pretend to be a class other than what they are. No Servant aside from possibly Archer of Red has demonstrated abilities that would allow this, so the one she is referring to remains unfortunately unknown.

[X] Talk to Ruler...
-[X] He mentioned White Faction only has one Master. Why? What's the deal here?
-[X] Did Kirei happen to leave my arm behind when you drove him off?
-[X] Did you do something about Kirei's extra command seals?
-[X] Are all the other servants summoned yet?
-[X] So uh... Do you have any idea why this entire ritual turned into a 7 vs 7 vs 1 mess?
-[X] Why is my Servant a Caster when she was a knight in life?
[X] Remain at the Church tonight within safety.

All the questions. And also, Bazett should really spend some time repairing herself for battle.

Asking more questions does seem worth it, since if we're staying at the church there isn't too much time pressure, and if there is time pressure this list seems decently ordered by importance.

I do have another question, are the children still there beneath the church? Because if Ruler doesn't know yet, that could lead to serious misunderstandings if anyone stumbled onto them.

Changing vote. If Bazzet is healthy enough to walk to the church, she don't need rest. Staying here is just wasting time.

Okay, having woken up, I've been made to realize that night is going to come soon and so Rin isn't going to be home regardless, since she's very proactive in the HGW, so going to her house is pointless. Illya probably isn't either. So,

[X] Wander Miyama Town. It was the likely base for the Servants of the old families.

Potentially running into Saber is preferable to possibly being left without allies.

Bazett can walk for six hours, she's well-rested enough.

Drawing goddamn Laevateinn

Assuming that we are thinking of the same Laevateinn, as in the weapon crafted by Loki that can slay the Rooster at the Crown of the World Tree, there has to be a reason Mordred would wield it. I will concede that there is some confusion about whether the weapon is a Dart, a Sword or a Wand, which arguably could explain why a Caster Servant would have access to it; the weapon was later connected to Surtr's blazing sword as we saw in Lostbelt 2, where it's a Divine Construct ala Rhongomyniad representing the burning of the Textures and the End of the Age of Gods.

Mordred as the one to end Camelot and therefore the true end of the Age of Gods in Britain could be argued to have a connection to the Weapon due to her role, and the fact that her father wields the Holy Lance. Of course, the kind of tinkering needed to take advantage of that connection could only be possible if Mordred was given it in response to something else like her Father being needed to be stopped while wielding the Holy Lance or this being an alternate version of her ala Caster Artoria.

Speaking of the other possibilities, Mordred is known to have raided her father's armoury when she was rebelling, and we've already seen her wield Clarent and the Prydwynn as Rider and Saber, and her Skills as Caster being suited for invasion, so who knows maybe her Noble Phantasm turns out to be access to her Father's Armoury ala Gilgamesh with the only weapons she can't wield being Excalibur, Caliburn and Rhongomyniad, Avalon going without saying? It's actually fun to speculate like this.

There is one thing that concerns me though. Mordred seems to be more familiar with Gae Bolg than she should be. And at the same time, her knowledge of Runes... is unclear at best.

Having thought about it some more, and being reminded of it, while Illya and Rin probably aren't home, the Einzbern Forest has a barrier in place which detects intruders. If we're not trying to hide ourselves, then we should be detected. Of course, the amount that it reacts can change, but I don't think it'll be that much to be concerned about. Whether she returns or not will depend on how busy she is, probably. Given what I remember of the timing, it could really go either way. She could have already met Shirou, she could be meeting Shirou tonight, or it could change depending on if we do, in fact, go to the Einzbern Castle.

The Einzbern Castle is, at the very least, supposed to be a fairly strong stronghold. So, depending on how much information she gets, she may decide to return, even if she's busy with something-or-other. Granted, I don't believe she's ever really shown up immediately--but then, almost all of the cases where people go into the forest with the intent of being detected, she's already busy with other matters, and they're known factors to her. Well, she did detect Rin and Saber on the Fate Route, and make look like she was going to go out, so I suppose that's one example I can remember of her taking advantage of the forest barrier. Plus, I think that most of the visits we see happen in the day time, if not every visit.

At the very least, if we're around there for long enough (which we will be, if I'm remembering the amount of time it usually takes to get through the Einzbern Forest into the castle), she'll probably show up. There's plenty of time in the night, after all, and Berserker is rather fast.

Of course, this assumes that the forest's barrier is still active. It probably is, at least on some level, considering that enough of Bazett's set-up was still around for Mordred to take over as her workshop, but it's still a possibility.

At the end of the day, though, it's probably better to go in the day, even if it's more possible to go in the night than it is with Rin.

Final edit, I'm keeping with my prior vote.

Revelation
"Sure, where's my arm?" It was strange, in a way, to be standing before Ruler and treated like something of an equal, but the man did not appear to judge the question harshly. Or at all, for that matter, as he hummed, turning her words in his head as he clasped his hands together.

"Well, I suppose testing the waters is to be expected in a situation like this." He admitted, his lips twisting into an impish smile. "I'm afraid if you hoped it remained, then you are mistaken. The priest did not keep the arm for so long that he was in possession of it within this building. Wherever it is, it is not here."

"It's rotting at the bottom of the river." Saber sniffed, leaning forward with a devilish look. "Kirei probably would have kept it if he thought you were actually alive, but he didn't. Slapping a mongrel in the face with their own arm is the sort of thing he might do with that twisted ego of his."

Bazett could not find it in her to disagree with that one. After all, Kirei did have a sadistic streak. That it extended further than mere sadism was a surprise, but after his bitter betrayal, she almost expected him to be guilty of murdering orphans.

Perhaps something on her face showed her thoughts, for Saber chuckled.

"He did worse than that, of course." He mused. "Kirei is a man with no limits to his evil. Once upon a time, that might have terrified him."

"Enough of that, Saber. As his enabler, he is your responsibility."

"Make me." And that, Bazett realised, was going to colour Saber's interactions with everyone. The display before had shown that he couldn't exactly be restrained by a Command Spell.

"I don't suppose you'll supply a replacement, then." Caster spoke up. "Given that the reason my Master lacks an arm is from a betrayal from one within your flock."

"Within my flock?"

"This is his house of God, not yours." Caster's words were soft. Bazett knew, in her heart of hearts, that Caster was simply probing for what concessions she could get. "That my Master has no arm is a result of a cheater in the Grail War, and one from your faith to boot. Is that not worthy of remediation?"

There was a long, pregnant pause at Caster's words. For a moment, it seemed as if Ruler was, indeed, considering them. Then Saber burst out laughing.

"What are you if you aren't a Caster?" He asked. "Replace your own Master's arm." He leaned forward, snickering. "Or is it that you can't, mongrel daughter of-"

"Saber shut your mouth before I shut it f-"

"Enough." Ruler's words silenced both Servants. "Perhaps you are right. After all, the fault for the priest lies, in the end, with us. Saber, given he was your Master prior to your incarnation, I would suggest you be silent. One could argue the ultimate responsibility lies with you." Even so, Ruler did not appear inclined to do anything about it. It was simply empty words.

Still, that Saber had incarnated was news to Bazett. That explained why she could not discern his faction. There was no faction to discern. It would appear that the Church's report ten years ago following the Grail War, and the sanctions made against Emiya and the Einzbern, were made in error.

That might warrant some investigation. However, Bazett decided to leave that one filed away for the moment. She could use it later.

"Well, tell me you at least did something about the privileges of the Adjudicator." Bazett already had an inkling that Kirei no longer had access to those. He'd shown her a few of those, when the plan was for him to assist her in the war. If he still had access to them, then he would know she was alive, and Saber and Ruler appeared to believe he did not. Ruler hummed for a moment, as he stood from his position and started slowly walking down the aisle.

"The priviliges of the Adjudicator. Well, I suppose I did in a sense." He admitted. "They only work while Ruler is not present. The Privileges of the Adjudicator are actually abilities possessed by the Ruler class that are converted into magical items for use. Now that I am present, those magical items have been rendered inert. I have no doubts the priest still possesses some, but they do not function while I am alive."

"And when you die?" Caster spoke up. Ruler raised an eyebrow at that.

"Thinking of using them for yourself?"

"Curiousity killed the cat." Her words brought a chuckle out of Ruler, as he stopped.

"Useless. They function by drawing on the lands latent magical energy. With Fuyuki in its current state, there is no possibility that any of them can function. If they drew on the owner's abilities then it would be unlikely that any Adjudicator could use them at all. After all, they are priests, not magi." Ruler answered.

"Well, there is the matter of the Command Spells." Saber quipped cheekily. "Kirei does technically still have those."

"Sorry?" Bazett blinked. While she knew the Adjudicator had access to some spare Command Spells, she hadn't realised that they kept them on their body. In hindsight, she probably should have.

"Ah, yes, the issue of the Master of Lancer of Black having twenty-nine Command Spells." Ruler noted. "Only three of them apply to Lancer of Black. The remaining spells are useless without the necessary tools to convert their use for a specific Servant. Normally, this was done with a spell scroll that the Adjudicator was supplied, but obvio-"

"You do realise that Kirei is not just a priest, but a magus as well." Bazett cut in. "Can you guarantee he can't use it?"

There was a long silence between the three Servants and Master at that. Finally, Ruler closed his eyes.

"Well, you are certainly informed, child." He admitted. "Such had occurred to me."

"Yet you've done little about it." Caster noted. "Surely this isn't the first you've heard of it, Saint. I doubt you have become a victim of Sloth, so what aren't you saying?"

"I determined that the current disadvantages experienced by Lancer of Black's Master meant his possession of Command Spells, for the moment, were not an issue." He answered dryly. "After all, Lancer of Black has not found reprieve since you encountered him in Shinto."

That sounded like Kirei was running his Servant ragged, but it also did not fill Bazett with hope.

"Your solution is 'oh, he'll burn himself out on his own', really?" Bazett asked. Saber just chuckled.

"Yeah, some plan, huh." He noted. "Unfortunately, Ruler isn't one to fight."

"I will do as is necessary." Ruler noted. "There are more factors at play then the priest, and those factors are more important right now." Those words were not words that Bazett really wanted to hear, but she decided better of challenging them. Ruler was not likely to be dissuaded. He'd already shown a level of stubbornness in using seven Command Spells instead of directly intervening. It would likely be a genuine calamity before he directly intervened in the Grail War.

"So where's the White Faction, then?" Bazette asked. "Why am I alone? Why is there more than seven Servants? What is actually going on?"

"I believe Saber should be the one to explain that." Ruler answered wryly. "After all, this was his idea."

"I was bored." Saber declared. "There was no other reason."

"You were bored?" Caster could only stare. "Really, you did all... this, because you were bored?"

"Yep." He leaned forward. "The White Faction, while an awesome alleviator of my boredom, was completely unplanned. I can only assume that thing in the Grail made a play while I was messing with it and we triggered some extra defence on accident."

"You don't even know what you did?" Bazett asked incredulously. It seemed Saber had extensive knowledge of the Grail. At this point, it was clear he was some sort of Sorcerer King, or Kirei was just that much better at magic then Bazett had actually thought, but to do this over boredom? "What the hell were you trying to do?"

"Well, I'm sure Caster has pointed out that the Grail has a failsafe." Saber noted. Caster just nodded that she had. "The Grail can summon extra Servants in the event that a war goes wrong. Normally, to trigger this failsafe, the war has to be in a stalemate for about a month. Usually, it'll try less drastic methods before resorting to the failsafe, like Command Spells, the Grail has a few spares of those. See, summoning a Servant isn't exactly easy, is it, girl?"

Understanding was dawning on Bazett very fast. The Grail was performing an act humans could not normally perform, after all. If she had tried to perform the summoning ritual herself, she might have summoned a Servant for an entire six seconds before her life expired. It was considered the Human Salvation Order( Grand Order) , the final act a human being would make in the defence of other human beings. To summon a Servant was to accept death.

That made the Holy Grail War an extreme aberration. After all, these Servants were being summoned not for the defence of man, but for a death match over a wish. That would require an excessive amount of energy, energy humans did not have. So instead, the Grail would have to draw it from elsewhere.

"Fifty years." She muttered. "It stockpiles for fifty years. That's why the wars are so far apart."

"Good." Saber nodded. "I'm sure Caster can regale you with the specifics of overlapping dimensional area phenomena, but that is essentially the crux. The Grail gathers energy for years on end and uses it to summon Servants."

"The last war was only ten years ago though." Caster noted. "We all know that." Bazett blinked. Wait, how did Caster know that? Had the Grail told her?

"Yes. The Grail was never activated at the end of the last war. All that magical energy sat like a cauldron ready to blow." Saber hummed. "Which contributed to the short wait time. The Grail would have started again immediately if the ritual didn't damage the local area."

"Leylines can't move energy that fast." Caster noted. "The speed depends on the pulse of the land. The faster it moves, the more the land changes. There would be valves on the land from spiritual peoples in order to keep it from blowing up."

"Well, there were. Kirei might have been slowly eroding those valves." Saber admitted. "Even at the shortest normal turnaround, it'd take about thirty years for the Grail to be able to trigger again. He wasn't going to wait that long. That Tohsaka girl had no hope of even knowing what his goal was. It was rather dull to watch."

Bazett had to admit, that would explain a lot about the current situation with the Grail. If Kirei had effective free rein, well...

It's not like Tohsaka was experienced. The owner of Fuyuki was barely an adult.

"The activation of the Reserve System is supposed to only summon an additional faction and Ruler." Ruler spoke up. "Caster is an aberration among exceptions. There does not appear to be any reason why it called it."

"No, we both know why she was called, old man." Saber retorted. "After all, this Grail War has eight Servants. She was called in response to me."

The room fell silent at that. Ruler did not confirm or deny the statement. After a moment, Caster's voice within Bazett's head confirmed the very thought she was thinking.

"It's not that Ruler is being coy. It's that he doesn't know."

Being Ruler did not give him true insight into the Grail's workings. He just had a better educated guess then the rest of the Servants. That, unfortunately, meant that he was not a truly impartial party either. The idea that Caster's opposite in the war was a Saber also opened a pit within Bazett's stomach that she didn't know how to fill. How, exactly, could they overcome Saber, who possessed Magic Resistance and will sufficient to only be bound after seven Command Spells?

The situation seemed impossible.

"So all the Servants have been summoned?" Caster spoke up. It occurred to Bazett that Caster had the same idea she did. The Church was no longer a viable location to remain. It wasn't through any fault, per say, of Ruler's own, but rather the shear danger that Saber presented. They needed to get away.

"Yes. Lancer of Red was the last." Ruler answered. "I suppose you do not wish for respite for the night?"

"If everyone has arrived, then we have work to do." Bazett answered softly. "Thank you for your assistance, Father."

"Wait." Bazett froze as she started to walk from the Church. Ruler's words were soft, but they were kind as well. "Some parting advice, since you have not found what you sought. The Factions of Black and Red are suggestions, not rules. The Grail has the power to force Black and Red and White into conflict, but only if no battles occur and no battle lines are drawn. You are not forced to fight alone, nor they together."

"Then why separate Servants into factions?" Caster asked. Saber's lips twisted into a malicious grin.

"Because when the Grail decides the factions aren't fighting, the order for Black and Red to fight will be made with the Command Spells owned by the Masters." He answered. "I wouldn't worry too much about that. After all, the Grail will give it a few weeks before it starts wondering why no one is dying. I don't think you want to wait that long, do you, Kingling?"

Caster gave the Saber the finger on her way out. Bazett wasn't sure she blamed her.

"That was a complete bust." Caster's voice showed her disappointment, as she paused at the Church gate. "We gained less than nothing."

"No. I think we gained something pretty important." Bazett retorted dryly. "Give me magical energy, please."

"Huh?" Bazett just smiled as her Magic Crest ignited, drawing sentences upon sentences of Runes in the air. "You'll have to explain what we learned, then, because most of that was bad news. We should have met your Magus."

"Well, Clocktower Magi are cutthroat. We might not be alive if we did." Bazett noted, grinning. "Found it. Wow, that is a big one. I wonder what he did to piss Saber off so much."

"... I hate Runes." Caster admitted. "That's more handy than what I can do."

"You can't track things?"

"Caster is not my best class." Caster admitted. "I use elementalism, not any sort of formal magic." Bazett nodded at that. Well, maybe she should have expected Caster to use something that normally would get the Sea of Astray interested like a bloodhound to a battlefield.

"Well, I used Saber's energy as a key. Believe it or not, there's a matching key in the city." Bazett answered. "I'm beginning to think what pissed him off was another Servant being summoned."

"Could be an enemy." Caster noted. Her lips twisted maliciously. "More likely it's a friend."

"You think he's upset because he has to kill a friend?"

"No, that's too simple." Caster shook her head as she started walking down the road. Bazett slowly followed, raising an eyebrow curiously. "The Grail only needs seven Servants to be slain before it can activate. Something about this must be forcing them into conflict. My first thought would be some sort of Command."

"I see." Even so, finding out who, exactly, this other Servant that brought out the worst in Saber was worth it. In Bazett's eyes, either it was an ally to be acquired, or an enemy that needed to go as soon as possible. Anything worthy of seven Command Spells was not normal. "This way. They did tell us something else, something I don't think they meant to."

"You're talking about the 'thing within the grail'?"

"Yes. Far as I know, there shouldn't be anything inside it." Caster didn't immediately answer that statement, her hands slipping into her pockets as she walked.

"That's not entirely true. A wish-granter, a genuine one, needs some sort of system within it. Not something that is alive, per say, but some sort of interpreter for the command given to it." Caster finally answered. "That doesn't sound like what they were referring to, though. Something, or someone, sounds like its trapped inside it."

"That would line up with Lord El-Melloi the Seconds report that the Grail's activation appeared to be wild and uncontrolled." Bazett noted. "It was assumed, like every other time, it was because the Grail was damaged. We might need to find the Grail and test that hypothesis."

"You think it's being interfered with?" Caster asked. "That would throw the war into chaos. Not to mention Ruler should be fixing it if it was."

"No. I don't think the Grail is being interfered with." Bazett muttered. "It's too soon to say, but I think saying its being interfered with is implying that whatever happened, happened recently." She rubbed her temple with her hand. "There are too many unknowns. Maybe its nothing, or some system left behind by the Einzbern to ensure the Grail is functioning properly. We might be looking for a conspiracy where there is none."

"The first rule of the conspiracy is don't talk about the conspiracy." Caster acknowledged. "That Saber and Ruler spoke of it at all would lend credence to the idea that whatever it is was supposed to be there in some form."

"Then why doesn't it have a name?"

"It might be a daemon." That was a possibility Bazett hadn't even considered. In that case, calling it a thing had actually been for everyone's safety. The worst thing you could do to a system daemon was name it and give it a will of its own. "Where is our man?"

"Well, back by the harbour, I think." Bazett noted. "Somewhere in that general direction. Are you ready for a fight? Just in case?"

"Born ready."

The target, as Bazett discovered, was not by the harbour. It was hiding inside the harbour.

Specifically, inside a steel city of cargo boxes.

"This is not a good idea." Bazett noted, standing atop a crane. The night air was so very still, it felt unnatural to be able to look down without the breeze attempting to dislodge her from her perch. "I can't nail down where the Servant is."

"This place is alive." Caster noted. "Maybe in the worst possible way, too."

"What do you mean?"

"The sea has remnants of magical energy being drawn from the rest of the country and from the depths. Something here is drawing it to a single point. Normally, I'd say it's a ritual circle, but that usually happens in a brief flash. It's like a moving tangle of leylines."

Bazett pursed her lips at that. It told her a few things, none of them good.

"You as good at making barriers as you are tearing them down?"

"No. I have a Noble Phantasm for it, though." Caster answered. "Do we go in fighting? If I use it, we will get attacked."

One of those Noble Phantasms. Bazett didn't immediately answer, considering her options.

"We haven't been attacked. Does that discount an Archer, I wonder." She mused, pondering. "There must be a Master here, right?"

"If it's Archer? No. The Master could be long gone for all we know."

"No, I don't think they are. If the Servant is drawing in energy, then it's probably vulnerable." Bazett noted. "The real question is, how do we approach without getting ambushed..."

That was the million dollar question, wasn't it?

[ ] Have Mordred deploy her Noble Phantasm and go in swinging.
[ ] Walk in towards the nexus of magical energy. Maybe if they made it obvious, they wouldn't be immediately attacked.
[ ] Use a rune spell to sneak up on the Servant.
[ ] Write in.

Well, I think we can safely say that Saber!Gil's anger wasn't directed at Artoria, since this...

"Saber, do not deploy your Noble Phantasm in a way that may harm the people of Fuyuki." He did not hesitate. One mark vanished. Two marks vanished. Three marks vanished. Then four marks vanished as the back door exploded, a young man with blond hair struggling against the invisible to continue charging forward, in his hands a great sword that looked more like a three sectioned drill and a huge axe that did not look like a human could even wield it.

"THAT INSOLENT FUCK WILL PAY!"

A fifth mark vanished. Then a sixth. Finally, at the seventh mark, it was clearly too much for the young man to continue, but the sweat pouring from Ruler's face made clear that he had expended far more effort then was reasonable in binding the Saber to the command. Unlike Caster, Saber didn't even look spellbound, letting out a curse in multiple dead languaged and letting his weapons fade away.

"I thank you for your cooperation."

"I'm only humouring you, Santa." Saber bit back, hands slipping into his pockets. "You think I can't bypass this?"

"But you won't, now that you have had the time to cool." Ruler retorted dryly. "You and the Caster are similar in that regard, I think."

"Do not compare me to him." Caster bit back. "Tch, this was a waste of time."

The more Bazett thought about it, though, the more she realised this hadn't been a waste of time at all, as she steadily walked down the pews, snatching up a trio of cookies and biting into them. Chocolate chip. They didn't resemble the cooking of Japan at all. No, they were buttery and sweet.

"If you are the adjudicator chosen by the Grail, then what role does Kirei play?" She asked. Ruler paused for only a moment, as if considering what to say.

"None at all. The Grail chooses Ruler from a small pool of candidates. Since the priest was never a neutral or unbiased party, it has recognised him as a interloper and attempted to expel his participation." Ruler answered. "Still- Ah, that is the last."

Even as he spoke, it was as if a wave of peace crept over the entire Church, as if everything had calmed and would simply be okay. Caster shivered, as if she remembered something she'd rather forget, and the expression on Saber's face morphed into something else.

Bittersweet joy.

The last part of this sequence is Artoria being summoned, that's what the seal releases were.

Which means whatever pissed Gil off was summoned before her.

So the real question is What could piss Gil off that badly?

And y'know... There's a couple ideas.

But I'd bet one that could really get that kind of visceral reaction out of him would probably be Enkidu getting summoned.

Which means we need to be really fucking cautious. So my first instinct...

[x] Use a rune spell to sneak up on the Servant.

[X] Make our presence clearly known, and ask if they are open to discussing an alliance.

Man, I dunno, I'm not great at these. I can't even tell if this is meaningfully different from walking in without hiding our presence, but I thought "hey, we might be farther away this way"

I'm hoping we get an ally here. I don't know if using a rune spell to try to sneak up would be particularly helpful. Assuming it's Enkidu, he's probably got Presence Concealment and Detection of some variety, so it'd probably only make it look like we're intending on getting the drop on them.

I get the feeling that we're not gonna be able to get the drop on an enemy we know nothing about. A Noble Phantasm is a game changer, and this is a barrier. Let's bring the enemy to us instead.

Also I kinda want to know what Mordred's NP is

Hmm...

*Ponders*

Does Presence Detection even work if there's no magical energy in the surrounding area, I wonder?

I mean, fair, but we're currently in an area that has magical energy flowing through it, drawn towards (hypothetically) Enkidu, right? So I'd think it'd still work. But maybe magical energy just passing through the area isn't enough.

Or maybe it's that the energy is all being pulled through the ground and the sea, so it's not really "here" in the sense of where we currently are.

I think using magical concealment might work, but it's risky. I'm tempted to add a write in that we make good use of actual stealth tactics too, just in case, keeping to cover and all that as well as hiding out magical signatures.

But aside from that, I think the cautious approach might be best here. Getting into a fight with Enkidu is a bad idea, using our Noble Phantasm 'because we want to see what it is' goes from 'bad' to 'downright stupid'. And I don't want to get into a fight with a total unknown without first scouting them a bit.

[X] Inscribe sowilo on a rock and toss it at the containers before walking in.

I'd rather just get to either the talking phase or the killing each other phase.
