Fight the First (Singularity F)

Singularity F, Fuyuki
Hope is a powerful drug
I look back to the girl who was first to ask for our aid and ask her instead, "It is safe to say that we would grant you that aid you requested, but what is our immediate situation?"
Miyuki Fujimaru, the girl with auburn hair speaks up.
"We were being pursued by at least three servants. Cu Chulainn managed to lead them away, and keep them running after a decoy, but we're not entirely sure." Both the girl with rings and the girl with a massive shield nod.

"Quite right Sempai," Mash says, nodding her head. She's leaning rather heavily on her shield and looks to have gone through hell. "They were far stronger than they should have been too. Cu Chulainn sempai said as much."
Joffre hums in consideration. "It would be best to gain proper intelligence on what we're facing. A game of blind chess is no game at all, but an exercise in luck." He looks out at the burning city, the hell on earth unfamiliar yet familiar still. "I have my soldiers with me. They can cover more ground than us few. They should be able to locate our targets, if we have no clear objective in mind already."
This time, the girl with 10 rings speaks up.
"Our Objective was the Cavern were the Greater Grail always manifests during the Fuyuki Grail War." With a soft incantation, the girl sends a healing spell at her sister, getting a murmur of thanks from her. Miyuki moves over to her second servant, and projects a map of Fuyuki from her bracelet. "We're at the Emiya estate right now," Alexandra says, pointing to a dot on the map. "We need to go here. Unfortunately, the Singularity corrupted almost every servant in this grail war, and we're facing more servants than we should be. We've seen ten different ones so far..." All three members of team Miyuki shudder, having been doing the bulk of the fighting leading up to now.

As Miyuki goes to open her mouth to speak, Mash and Alexandra's eyes widen. Mash is instantly at her Master's side, her shield blocking an arrow that would have killed her master. Alex, on the other hand, is flinging spells towards a cloaked figured, who's dancing between her spells, getting closer. Another three servants breach the perimeter, making a mad dash towards the masters.
(OOC: Mash is defending against an Archer (Grail Corrupted EMIYA) Alex is dueling Assassin (Grail Corrupted Hassin of the Cursed Arm) unsuccessfully, with Cu Chulainn moving to assist. The Three other Servants, Rider, Caster, and Lancer are Grail Corrupted Astolfo, Grail Corrupted Medea, and Grail Corrupted Medusa (Adult Lancer). All of these Servants have enhanced stats from the Grail, and EMIYA has a boon from it)
Edit: about 30 Skeletons are present with the Servants

Franklin's mouth set into a thin line, "Regretfully, it appears the time for talk is over."

As the elderly statesman interposed himself between the Masters as the incoming Servants, he continued speaking, weaving his words with Charisma to bolster his allies, "But even as darkness descends upon us, we will not go quietly into the night. We shall howl and rage against that which seeks to snuff out our light."

Electricity crackled between his fingers as Caster channeled his Mana into them via Galvanism, "Trample us once? We shall rise. Cut us down again? We shall not stay there long."

Thunder boomed as Benjamin Franklin unleashed a veritable storm of lightning at the incoming Servants in an attempt to halt their progress, causing all three to halt in their tracks. As the sound faded, he said one last thing.

"As for you? You shall not touch these men and women again...and you will not pass me without a fight."

"Add," said Gray, pulling her companion from his cage.

"Yes!"

"First stage restraint rescinded!" In seconds, the cube shaped Mystic Code seemed to break apart into smaller blocks, before assembling itself back into the shape of scythe that Gray swung with a flourish. It turned into a tower shield moments later, blocking a stray arrow that caused her to stagger back from the force of the blow. She grit her teeth, feeling the force vibrate along her arm. And that was a stray arrow. If the Archer actually tried, Gray's arm would have shattered.

Then, Gray reshaped the shield back into a scythe, hopping to her feet. With no hesitation, Gray dashed towards the skeletons. She was tired and a bit battered from previous fights, but you went to battle with what you have on hand.

Upon reaching the mass of skeletons, Gray got to work. Add flashed forward, splitting apart bone and magical energy. Gray ducked, allowing a blow to fly over her head as she swept the skeleton off its feet and smashed it with a swing of Add. Another met the same fate as she quickly parried a strike, grabbed it by its throat, and used it as a shield to take a sword strike from a nearby skeleton. The construct shattered apart, turning into a pile of bones on the ground.

"Yes, yes!" Add laughed, absorbing the spiritual energy from the necromantic constructs and adding it to Gray's own. Gradually, Gray seemed to get faster. Stronger. Her circuits burned from use, but she bore the strain with stoic determination.

Grail Corrupted Astolfo,
Rider growled, a strange sound coming from the massive man. Certainly, he rarely allowed himself to make such sounds, but in this case the king felt it was worth it.

"This land is burnt and blackened, stripped of all its value. To an enemy's land, such is little more than strategy, but upon one's own hoard? Barbarism."

He grabbed what seemed as if it were air, yet a horse's reigns appeared in his hand. A mighty white charger stepped out of the ether soon after, and the armored man mounted the beast as he had done hundreds of times before. "And you monsters are not even worth the worthless land you stand on. Blackened and corrupted, such pieces disgust me. And you had the gall to call yourselves heroes of humanity?"

As he continued his speech, he held out his hand once again, and a lance appeared within. It was black, painted wood, the kind of lance designed to break upon use, after slaying one's enemy. Cheap and reusable, yet he hated to waste even one against these opponents. "You are not even fit to enter my sight. Begone!"

And with those words, he charged his horse at the enemy Rider.

Stay still goddamit!

Gritting her teeth, Alex sent another mystery downrange hoping to slow down Assassin, never mind hit him. As expected, the blade of elemental wind passed harmlessly by the Assassin, missing him by a small margin. He's not wasting any movements Alex notes, a wave of healing magecraft washing over her as her Master, her sempai sends a heal to her. Sending a sense of gratitude down their telepathic link, Alex sends a gout of flame towards Assassin, who leaps up, throws a brace of knives towards her. She raises a shield desperately, the knives perfectly positioned so that they would hit Miyuki if she dodged.

"Ansuz!"
A massive barrage of fireballs flies towards the Assassin, forcing him to back off from his charge, and giving Alex some much-needed room to breathe.
"Thanks, Caster."
"No Problem Caster," Cu says, sending another series of fireballs towards the Assassin. Alex adds a few spikes of ice with a muttered incantation, and spins around and sends a heal towards her sister.
'Thanks, neesan'
'of course Mash'
"We need to do something Caster! He's laughing off our Magecraft!"
"I'll get in close, keep casting." Cu Chulainn yells, moving towards Assassin in a burst of speed.
"Roger that!" Alex replies, utilizing one of the few personal skills she had access to create a facsimile of Cu Chulainn, who joined her in casting mysteries to distract the Assassin as much as possible.

Now, most servants would charge forward to clash and keep the enemies at bay, what with some possessing abilities capable of clashing toe to toe with gods.

However, I am not one of them. And I would rather not risk the masters getting caught in the crossfire.

Lashing the reins of Nelson, I yell out the phrase of my Noble Phantasm. "Fly off with the wings of Liberty!" And with that, Nelson glows before transforming into a large eagle, right before I get off and start tossing the tired masters onto its back, with Libertas aiding them to get comfortable without getting in the way of its wings.

Things don't appear to be going well, and so I ask one of the masters here, "You don't suppose retreat would be an option?"

And with my hypocrisy, I turn and pull out both my gun and sword, before joining the fight.
"As for you? You shall not touch these men and women again...and you will not pass me without a fight."
I do let a whisper slip to Ben on my way to join. "I can most likely keep one distracted for a long while. Can you handle the other servant?"

With Rider already confronted, I suppose my 'best' adversary would be the Caster. And so, fire one shot before closing in fast to buy time. Libertas is just keeping an eye on the battlefield to keep it in between the enemies and the masters.

Joffre sighed at the inconvenience of having to fend off an attack with so little preparation, and turned to face the enemy. The enemy Servants had all been engaged save the corrupted Lancer, so when he activated his Noble Phantasm, that was the one targeted the most.

With a shout of "Le Miracle de Marne" Joffre called on the memory of impossible victory and the defense of the homeland. A September wind blows from behind him, as faint outlines of artillery and machine guns manifest, backing a row of ethereal French rifleman. A storm of shells and bullets were unleashed upon the battlefield, ripping up the ground, blasting apart skeletons, and buffeting enemy Servants with explosives and lead.

The corrupted Lancer was forced to stop her advance, lest she eat artillery, and began to put all her effort into simply avoiding getting hit. Careful shot placement drove her back, away from Joffre's position. The man himself stood there, visibly unconcerned, the picture of serenity. No matter the shells and bullets around him.

Lancer was not the only Servant targeted however. The entire battlefield was well within range, and any openings presented were ruthlessly exploited by a hail of gunfire. Meanwhile, 75 mm field guns opened up counter battery fire, rolling fire sending a shell off every second, and the enemy Archer's position lighting up with a little over a two second delay. Joffre focused on he counterpart in the distance, trusting his allies to hold the line at close range. Pinning down a Servant would be difficult work.

Ruler was immediately on the ball the moment the first attack came into his notice. His eyes hardened and he scanned the surroundings, locating 3 enemies within close distance, in addition the the archer who was current bombarding them from somewhere unseen.

His first instinct was to assist the young ring wearing girl as she was swiftly overwhelmed by the agile cloak wearing servant who was almost certainly some sort of assassin from the looks of him.

This was briefly allayed by the arrival and intervention of their allied Caster, and he was about to turn and focus his attention on one of the other attackers, the Caster perhaps, when his keen strategic eyes picked up on a detail.

Despite their now being three of them against one and the Caster moving into close combat with the enemy servant, it was still noticeably controlling the pace of the fight, the Chaldeans forced to respond to it while it was active.

No. He was needed here. No commander turns his gaze elsewhere when his flanks are about to collapse.

He was beside the ring wearing girl in a moment, his arm coming up and summoning his Scutum just in time to bat away another barrage of daggers launched their way by the darting cloak covered servant.

Without a word he joined in on the offensive, using Imperator to lash out with a gust of wind, hoping to use the servants cloak against them. But the Assassin moved through it as if it wasn't there. Not the dissipation of Magic Resistance, but purely ignoring the wind sent against it.

"Protection from wind." He reasoned aloud to the girl besides him, always keeping perfect track of the servant as he danced around the Caster and mysteries launched his way. "An annoyance to be sure, but not to worry." His smile turned quite predatory as he spoke. "I have some experience with hunting down assassins.

There is a crackle of thunder as Thjalfi bursts forth with Thor's Favor. Several skeletons find their heads cleanly severed from their bodies, torn apart like so much wheat before the scythe. Thjalfi moves so fast that even to Servants he's a blur. Finding Assassin going unchecked, he moves to Alex's side to support her, hefting his axe with a feral grin.

"I'll pin him down. I'm fast enough for it!"

"And before I go..."

Thjalfi's Divine Attendant(C+) skill activates, and Octavian finds his Mana boosted to a significant degree by Thjalfi.

"That should help you hit him hard once I pin him down!"

The Norse Heroic Spirit then vanishes, moving in a blur as he moves to match Assassin's quick movements and pin them down. Their blades clash, with Thjalfi proving the faster with the Favor of Thor, enabling him to begin to control Assassin's movements.

Morgan sees the projectile coming. It is such an obvious probing shot it is almost insulting. She lazily brings up her Excalibur Morgan in an upwards swing, batting the... sword-arrow... contemptuously out of the air. At the same time, following the weapon's trajectory, she casts a simple divination spell to see the face of enemy Archer.

A tall Asian man, with bronzed skin, hair of pure white and steel gray eyes. His appearance bears such an obvious signs of Reinforcement overuse, Morgan instantly pins him for some third or fourth rate mage with overabundance of heroic feelings. Following her divination, she turns around, gazing into normally unseen for her spot from which Archer operates, and knowing he sees her, she smiles.

The stumble he does, the clear confusion and disorientation she sees in his eyes as her Divination fades bring joy into her heart.

She almost wishes him to escape Frenchman's barrage. Morgan has a feeling teasing him would be such a fun.

Turning back, she catches a glimpse of a face.

"... ?!"

For a moment, Morgan's heart skips a beat, her breath dies in her breast and her lips dry. That Face. It is so painfully familiar. How?

And then, she hears another, more mechanical voice and the girl before her wields a scythe. Morgan has a feeling she should have known the situation.

...

oh

Oh.

"Fufufufu... Interesting."

Despite the face of her dear Arthur, she now knows it is not her wayward sibling. If she were, Morgan doubted the girl would ignore her. She devours the sight of girl's acrobatics, Add's joyous shouts as the little Not Arthur cleaves through skeletons with ease only sounding more beautiful to her ears.

The roar of Frenchman's barrage echoing closer snap her back. Morgan scowls. This is why she hates directly participating in battle. Too many interesting things to take note of. Shaking her head, she recalls that the masters and those two strange girls seemed to be quite exhausted. Bringing her sword over her head, Morgan chants a spell of invigoration, before releasing it on them.

Lancer and Ruler join girl with ten rings and The Hound in fending off Assassin.

Enemy Lancer is currently too busy dodging Frenchman's artillery to be too much of a threat. Still, Morgan decides to make life all the more difficult for the woman. Sinking her sword into the ground, Morgan chants in singing, flowing Welsh for a solid minute. As the spell releases, the ground under enemy's Lancer turns into treacherous quicksands.

Turning away from that one, she catches another familiar face, this time on enemy side.

Astolfo.

The paladin seems to be engaged in a jousting duel with their own Rider.

"Oh my, oh my, oh my. What have you gotten into this time, you silly boy?" Morgan sighs.

She considers her option in helping her Rider ally. Astolfo was a slippery one, especially on that hippogriff of his. Restraining him would be useless then, and would in fact risk disrupting Rider's concentration if the boy blinked out. Additionally, Astolfo had multiple trinkets that boosted his resistance to magics, although Morgan did not know just how many of them paladin had on himself right now.

How troublesome.

As she observes her once friend, a devilish idea enters Morgan's mind. It was true that Astolfo had a lot of gifts and 'gifts' that were meant to protect him from hostile magicks. The problem with the scatterbrain was that he always seemed to fall upon, and insult in one way or another, sorceresses skilled in transformative curses. Why, Morgan herself met Astolfo when the poor boy had been turned into a tree by one of them. She had quite a good laugh at his expense back then, before helping him out.

And well, such weaknesses tended to follow Servants across time.

Morgan grips her false Excalibur, lifting it and pointing at the pink haired paladin. This time, the chant is longer, the Welsh flowing in rhymes and shifting the tones. The spell is tricky, Morgan had more practice with undoing transformations than applying them, thus she needed to do the full incantation.

Now, what to turn dear Astolfo into?

Ah, yes. Why not mirt, for old times sake?

With a laugh, Morgan releases the spell, watching in curiosity as it hits its intended target.

Barnum chuckled to himself. The boy was awe struck by the assembled Heroic Spirits no doubt! Not that he could blame him. After all, who wouldn't be left in awe at the presence of some of the most notable figures in history? Quickly, Barnum moved away from the summoning circle and closed the distance between himself and Ritsuka.

"And it is an honor to meet you, my boy!" he said, patting him on the back as if greeting some old friend. "Once this whole business has been dealt with, I would love the chance to sit down and talk with you! Know anything about paleontology? Ah, don't worry if you don't, I can fill you in on the basics. Just that it has been, oh, a few decades since I got to talk about my favorite subject? You understand!"

Chuckling again and not wanting to make the young man uncomfortable with his close proximity, he backed up. He turned back around to survey the gathered Servants. Impressive bunch, and one of them was even Ben Franklin of all people! It did his old heart good to see there was another man of science among the ranks of warriors and sorcerers that had been gathered. Of course, it didn't take long for his eye to wander to the female Servants that had been summoned, particularly the unnamed Caster and Hengist catching his attention. He made a mental note to approach the beauties once there was time to do so.

Speaking of which...
"Yes, that makes sense. Don't know much about paleontology, but it sounds interesting!"

Putting on his serious face, Ritsuka looked over the battlefield for a moment, no that he was energized.

There were many Servants protecting those Masters that were here. Gray is dealing with the skeletons. The other Servants were dealing with the corrupted ones, but the latter was strengthened.

And so, what he could do to best help was answered, considering the unfamiliarity he has with all the Servants collected here, along with the fact most of them engaged with the enemy already. It was a good thing he had lots of magical energy to throw around.
As he continued his speech, he held out his hand once again, and a lance appeared within. It was black, painted wood, the kind of lance designed to break upon use, after slaying one's enemy. He sent out an Instant Enhancement to Stephen Bathory, who was dealing with the enemy Rider.
The Norse Heroic Spirit then vanishes, moving in a blur as he moves to match Assassin's quick movements and pin them down. Their blades clash, with Thjalfi proving the faster with the Favor of Thor, enabling him to begin to control Assassin's movements.
He then sent out an Instant Enhancement to Lancer, who was fighting with Assassin, of whom if dealt with early will free up some of the Servants protecting him, his sister, and Torin. The enemy Caster was being dealt with by George Washington. Casters weren't known for their battle skills, but it wouldn't hurt to take out the weakest first. Joffre was dealing with Lancer and seemed to be doing a good job at it. Caster was helping out on the battlefield against Lancer and... cast a spell at the enemy Rider?

He called out to Barnum and the twin Assassins, Hengist and Horsa. Whether he was to be their Master or not, he could give suggestions.

"Barnum, Hengist, Horsa, could you please assist Rider in fighting Caster?"

Another three servants breach the perimeter, making a mad dash towards the masters.

"Oh my!"

Barnum was quick to get to ready himself for combat, his pistol appearing in his hand and taking aim at the approaching skeletons. He wasn't exactly suited for battle, despite his class being more combat oriented, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to pull his weight when it mattered! He took a few potshots at the skeleton hoard that approached along with the Servants, being sure to stay out of the way of his comrade Servants as they dealt with the opposing Servants.

His gunshots joined along with Archer's artillery, taking aim at whatever he could that wasn't immediately blasted apart by the barrage of the Frenchman's attack.
"Barnum, Hengist, Horsa, could you please assist Rider in fighting Caster?"
The Rider paused his assault and looked towards the corrupted Caster, then nodded to Ritsuka. Out of the enemy Servants she was the one he could probably best assist with, even with his poor ranking in Magic Resistance. Of course, he had his means of potentially overwhelming the opposing Servant. If nothing else he'll give the two Assassins and Rider an opening while she is distracted.

"Tyrannosaurus rex!" With those words uttered, a massive form materialized onto the battlefield, letting out a low grumble. Barnum hopped onto the back of the prehistoric beast, then pointed at the enemy Caster.

"Sick 'em, girl!" he ordered and the dinosaur gave out a mighty roar that shook the air and ran forward, its footfalls shaking the ground as it rushed towards the Caster. The large theropod quickly cleared the distance, its massive steel crushing jaws opening and threatening to consume the Caster. The Caster managed to move out of the way, just as the jaws of the dinosaur slammed shut where she once stood.

As the fight broke out between Servants, one might find it odd that Berserker did not immediately charge into the foray.

To Kassandra, it was only natural. To her sight, there was only one time, one opportunity.

And so, as the battle torn on, Berserker merely stood where she was, gaze fixed on the nearby future. Should anyone come to sudden harm, she would be there. But for now, she would wait.

And wait.

For in truth, there was nothing more for her to do.

It is but a moment's notice, an arrow's twilight flight, before the battle begins.

"Celeritas!"

Fiore's reaction is swift, his sign of the sword shining brightly in the darkened skies above his position, boosting his allies' speed of attack and movement. A couple of skeletons shambles towards him, and he promptly turned them into dust for their temerity.

The situation was no yet in its direst. The allied forces were holding strong, and quite frankly, the battles were already well set, so butting in might do more harm than good at this point.

"Yes, yes!" Add laughed, absorbing the spiritual energy from the necromantic constructs and adding it to Gray's own. Gradually, Gray seemed to get faster. Stronger. Her circuits burned from use, but she bore the strain with stoic determination.

Seeing one of their charges in combat with the skeletons, Fiore rushes in aid. It would be best for their Lords to not come to harm, after all, so he swore to keep an open eye and protect them throughout the engagement.

With a slight flourish, his Flos lights up before transforming his longsword into a sturdy mace, with which he proceeds to smash into the skulls a couple of the closest skeletons to Gray, turning them once more into dust.

"I trust that the fair lady lies unharmed?"

With the immediate threat of the three Servants being dealt with by the others, Benjamin turned his attention to the other combatants. The young woman with the shield and her charges were still being harried by the corrupted Assassin, though Ruler was moving to assist. However, the dark assailant seemed difficult to pin down.

"Hmm...Let's see what we can do to assist..." He hummed to himself. Once again, he gathered lightning into his hands. However, he did not immediately release it.

Instead, the old Caster intoned an incantation.

"Thirteen Virtues: Justice. The crime I witness before me is assault and battery."

The lightning gathering in his hands began to glow a vibrant violet as the conditions of that particular facet of his Noble Phantasm were met, strengthening their power and their reach.

"Cast in the name of God, ye not guilty."

Thunder roared as the bolts of electricity raced across the distance, seeking the dark cloaked killer.

Edward was on his feet in an instant, "God dammit, they already found us!?"

Pulling out his revolver, Edward began targeting the skeletons. On each side of the shining gun were two straight lines carved into it. To the trained eye, one could see the truth, they were runes of the same kind: Isa.

Edward fired at one of the skeletons, who went down in a rain of ice and shattered bone, before going on to the next one. Such a weapon was unlikely to do shit to an enemy Servant, nor would any magic Edward knew, but atleast he could deal with the grunts while their new allies fought the bigger threats. Still, he kept a close eye on the battling servants when he could, incase intervention was ever needed. He possibly had one other card up his sleeve incase things started to really go south.

"Roger!" Alex yells, sending a flurry of elemental mysteries downrange.
With a laugh, Morgan releases the spell, watching in curiosity as it hits its intended target.
Astolfo, amusingly enough, turns into a tree. The sudden change is just enough of a distraction for Caster to die, felled by Rider. Lancer soon follows, pulped by a combination of Artillery, and another servant. Octavian finally strikes true on the Assassin, though the elusive shadow begins to retreat, tossing a brace of knives at the masters.

Meanwhile, Mash has stopped defending against Archer's Barrage, even though she's totally alert for more. EMIYA, meanwhile, has withdrawn, likely to report to his master. She is in the perfect position to intercept the knives and does so.

Alexandra's and Cu Chulainn's parting strike on Assassin kills him, as ephemeral chains hold the Assassin down for but an instant, Cu's lance of fire pierces his spiritual core.

Gray felt a stare at her back. It felt almost... hungry. Sparing a moment to look over, Gray found that woman looking at her with a disconcerting expression on her face. It appeared to be a look of ferocious curiousity and another emotion Gray couldn't quite identify. Still, in the heat of the moment, Gray put the matter aside as she batted a skeleton over the head with Add. Such things weren't worth contemplating in the middle of battle.

If she did, Gray would have found it disturbingly similar to the looks that her village had given Gray.

With a slight flourish, his Flos lights up before transforming his longsword into a sturdy mace, with which he proceeds to smash into the skulls a couple of the closest skeletons to Gray, turning them once more into dust.

"I trust that the fair lady lies unharmed?"

Ah, a Servant finally decides to deign her with their assistance.

"Ihihihi, better than ever, old man! Try to keep up!" replied Add, absorbing more magic and growing larger. Still, it didn't seem to affect Gray's capabilities at all, swinging the scythe around as if it was half its size.

Gray nodded, taking a moment to take a breather. "...Thank you, I'm unharmed." Afterwards, Gray went back into it. There were more undead to dispose of. And with every second they existed, they were a growing eyesore of everyone that saw them.

With a final stomp of her combat boots, Gray took out the last of the skeletons, scattering their ashes on the ground. "We cannot stay," quietly stated Gray, looking to where they Servants had fought. "They will come back with even more Servants. We need to either fortify this location, or move on somewhere more defensible."

Noticing her hood was lowered, Gray quickly pulled the hood back up as her face glowed a bashful red.

Regaining control of her composure, Gray looked over to the other Masters in askance. "Perhaps, even take the fight to them now that we have Servants of our own."

Astolfo, amusingly enough, turns into a tree.
At the sight of Mirt-Astolfo, Morgan lets out a short laugh. Ah, it's such a nostalgic sight.

Soon enough, the other blackened Servants are dead, with Archer being unknown. Morgan dismisses her sword and turns around to look at their motley group once more.
Meanwhile, Mash has stopped defending against Archer's Barrage, even though she's totally alert for more. EMIYA, meanwhile, has withdrawn, likely to report to his master. She is in the perfect position to intercept the knives and does so.
Now that she has time, she is intrigued by the girl with pink hair. Or more precisely, her shield. Shield which Morgan recognizes as the Round Table. Shield, which by all accounts should belong to a very specific, male knight. And judging by the girl's inexperienced flailing, she doesn't know the first thing about a Servant that is likely granting her his powers.

How irresponsible.

But there is a thing more pressing than the mystery of why that stupid boy plays such a curious game. Finally moving out of the spot she was summoned into, Morgan crosses the mansion's backyard, deftly avoiding bumping into master and Servant alike.
With a final stomp of her combat boots, Gray took out the last of the skeletons, scattering their ashes on the ground. She sees the hood going up. And she sees how it alters the look of Not Arthur's face. Morgan frowns, but does not stop. If anything, it makes her all the more curious. That should not have happened.

She comes to a stop in front of gray-haired girl who minutes ago captivated her breath with her familial looks. Morgan bends over, and ignoring the girl's flinch, grabs her by the chin, her blue eyes roaming over the girl's face, drinking in every smallest detail.

Her eyes are the exact same shape as Arthur's, and the exact same color too. The nose, the cheeks. All are the same. And yet, Morgan sees more than just the obvious physical clues. Magic clings to the girl. If she were perfect, such a simple guise as having a hood over her head would not alter the look of her face.

"Curious..."

She casts the spell as easily as she breathes. The girl's face lights up to her eyes, and she narrow's her gaze. So it is imperfect. She was not born with it. Morgan has already forms a theory in her mind, but she still examines the face. Letting go, she lifts it up with a finger under the chin. The play of light and shadows on the face of the girl changes its look.

"Hmmm..."

Yes, she sees. Oh, how she wishes she was less observant. Those... Those...

Those fools.

The utter, delusional, FOOLS!

Outwardly, she is calm. But on the inside, Morgan rages.

They ruined it!

Their stupid, ignorant, hasty foolishness rendered the entire thing pointless!

Morgan let's the girl's face go and takes a deep breath to calm down. Her hands come up to her head to massage her temples and stave off incoming headache. Over a thousand years, all ruined because some idiots thought they knew better than Her.

"It is remarkable" she murmurs to no one but herself "How such a great failure can result in such an astonishing success."

With a huff, she looks back to the girl with the rings.

"Since we were so rudely interrupted, I shall ask again. Which of you are my Master?"

Maybe she will be able to distract herself with formalities. Certainly better use of her time than cursing people now dead.

Rider allowed his javelin to fade away into nothing, dismounting from his horse in the process. He admittedly felt a twinge of disappointment at being unable to help fast enough, but that was largely overshadowed by the destruction of their foes. Or at least, most of them.

Rider nodded, approaching the masters. The enemy had clearly not been prepared to face so many servants, and fell rather easily. It would be foolish to turn things into a protracted siege when they so clearly held the advantage.

"Now is the time to attack," he spoke bluntly, as if his words had already decided the question for the entire group, "my master may ride with me, the others will need to use their own Riders."

Joffre let his Noble Phantasm die down, the ethereal guns fading away, and the crispness of autumn is replaced with the smothering heat of a burning city. The smell of cordite still remains in the air, though. He saw the Servants and Masters convening to speak, and strolls over.

"You would be so hasty as to lead us into unknown territory, to find an unknown enemy in an unknown location, so that we may blunder into a prepared foe on home territory? Nay. We may have an advantage, the initiative, but without an idea of where to strike, that initiative would be wasted. We must gather information first." Joffre lays out. "A blind attack will only do us ill."

The Assassin was wily Ruler had to give him that. Despite the multitude of servants arrayed against him, he still managed to dodge and dance between strikes with incredible agility, while lashing out with daggers and thrown dirks at every opportunity. But he had practically ignored Ruler himself after he had proved able to completely shrug through his Imperator's ability to manipulate air. That would be his mistake.

Imperator was a skill crystallising the "Right to Command" with the power of a Heroic Spirits legend. That right could extend beyond just the manipulation of gale winds. With careful and precise timing, the earth beneath the Assassin servant just as he prepared to leap out of the way of a strike. His leg descended into the hole up to the knee, and immediately the first strike found its mark. The Assassin tried its best, but by the time it was free it was severely injured, and all of its companions had been dealt with. Its attempts to flee ended merely in it being slain from behind instead of taking it head on.

With the danger abated for now Ruler relaxed just a little. This was still not a fortified encampment, but they had breathing room. He reached out to the girl besides him, panting from the exertion of the fight, and patted her a few times on the head, before grasping her shoulder to turn her towards him. "A magnificent display you made my dear. One of cooperation and trust in those around you. We'll make a fine legionnaire of you yet. Lesson one is to have trust in your commanders and the men to either side of you, and you already pass with flying colours."

He gave her his best congratulatory smile, unsure of how to handle a female warrior, but not about to deny her well earned praised just because she was something new to him.

Now, it was time to be a little more official. Turning to the group of Masters still seemingly a little shell-shocked by the goings on around them. He could feel a distinct connection to one in particular, but it might be prudent to see if they were skilled enough to feel the same. "So!" He cried. "Which of you here believes yourself a worthy Master to a Consul of Rome?"

As Archer tried to draw the other Servants into a strategy discussion, Caster quietly activated his Natural Born Genius skill to acquire the relevant knowledge. He'd never been an officer in life, much less a soldier of any kind. He'd need the help to keep up.

"Do we have the means to do so reliably and safely? We can hardly afford to risk losing anyone," Benjamin commented, his eyes watching his fellow Caster as she stared at one of the Masters with such intensity that he was beginning to question her intent. His thoughts were not improved when the red-haired woman shifted targets, "Most of our number are either front line fighters or spellcasters. Additionally, our ad hoc base's location has been compromised. We may no longer have the option of fortifying until we have more intelligence to work with."

Ritsuka tried not to show his confusion to Caster's molestation of his fellow Master. All the same, he felt a connection to the strange Caster. He stepped forward, a smile on his face.

"It looks like I am your Master. Nice to meet you." He stretched out his hand to her.

"Looks like the cavalry has arrived."
