The good thing with Shirou is that he technically has a color name so at least that's not a worry for seeming a bit too weird.

The magecraft is of course eventually gonna get into the picture but we wouldn't want overwhelmed a shattered soul too soon.

I would prefer this over the one-man team trope...
Those never really made sense to me cuz unless it's like Archer or some AU version of shirou they created, I can't see most versions of him actually being strong enough to warrant one man team.

Two, way easier for me: Someone straight up fails the initiation test.
So this might end up being a universe where Glenda refuses to let ozpin do his thing and calls jaune out on his fake transcript bs.

Actually, does anyone die in the initiation test?
If I remember correctly, jaune, Ruby, and Blake were the main ones who almost died if someone didn't save them.

Ruby: almost got punctured to death by a deathstalker (scorpion monster) until Weiss saves her at the last second which causes them to kind of make up. (And causes the fans to start shipping them for the rest of the series.)

Blake: accidentally got shoved off a pillar by Yang and almost fell to her death.

Jaune: would have died of multiple times if pyrrha wasn't there to bail him out every time.

SDoAiS(very long plan name) has taken the lead again, huh? Still only two votes though, honestly surprised at how close this has been the whole time.

I had just come up with a new funny tie-breaker idea where I get my friend who doesn't even read fanfiction to choose the winner and I may never get to use it. Shame...

Let us pick the archetype and your friend make the plan for the next Quest. Chaos ensues

Honestly I stand by the fact that Yang deserved better then Blake
Out of all the people she could have picked, yang somehow picked the one person with issues to an extent just as bad as her own.

Speaking of family issues, now that I'm thinking about it I feel bad for Ruby, cuz her own sister was the closest thing she had to a parent after a while cuz they mama died and they Dad just apparently decided to break down after that. Her constantly drinking Uncle taught her more on how to protect herself than her own dad did. Then she had to deal with a robbery, then she got somehow trapped in a team of lesbians, each with their own mental or physical trauma, while being stuck as their leader.

…. Now how bad is Shirou's Issues compared to hers. He is starting brand new, but he's also Frankenstein's Monster: Sword Mode

Edit: Oh god I just realized this version of Shirou Matches RWBY's Fairytale/Story Gimmick its characters are based on. He's kinda Frankenstein's Monster.
