So, what's the plan?

  • DO IT! DO IT NAO! (Put up IC ASAP)

  • That's ____ You're Walking Into. (Wait for Map)

  • Evacuate? In Our Moment of Triumph?! (Sucal's Idea)

  • ...that's it...? (None of the above)

  • *shrug* (Like the GM, down for whatever)

So, Looked a little at some RP OOC threads, and I noted people mentioning that Bondo's Origin appears to be Mook?

Whats up with that? If there's a story to it, Inquiring Minds want to know.

Fate/False Rebirth is where I learned of it, but I don't know if it happened prior in Grail Wars or Oath Signs.

Bondo's characters are usually the first ones to bite it iirc.

It's why his Servant class is Avenger. :V (Before GO buffed them like a goddamn fort.)

You mean Lancer. E-Rank Luck and all that.
Shinji's not cool enough to be Lancer tho.

So, like what I do here?

Status
Class: Avenger
True Name: Bondo
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Parameters
Strength: E
Endurance: E--
Agility: E
Mana: E
Luck: E------------------------------------------------------------
Noble Phantasm: EX

Skills
Mystic Face: E
When Avenger poses, their face sparkles. The weak willed can be charmed by this, though it is not on the level of the charm that the like of Diarmuid causes.

Evaporation of Sanity: E-
The evaporation of common sense and logic. At this rank, Avenger is capable of missing an opportunity to make Jonathon Harker a Jonathon Joestar expy, in favour of making them an expy of the worst JoJo. Due to his Origin of Mook, the secondary effect of this skill, which would grant Instinct, is not present.

Noble Phantasm
Origin of Mook
- Dead by Dawn
Rank: EX
Description: Bondo's Origin, tied so deeply to Akasha that it cannot, under any circumstances, be sealed, even by the magics of Scathach or the Noble Phantasms of Grue. Avenger embodies his Origin completely, so much that his very Prana is tied to it. Avenger is literally incapable of winning, and will always die on the first night of the Grail War. However, unless steps are taken to ensure his soul is sealed elsewhere, this Prana shall infest the Grail, causing the 'Wish' made upon it to fail as hard as Bondo does. In other words, unless something is done to trap his soul elsewhere, once Bondo is summoned, a Holy Grail War will only end in disaster for whoever makes the wish.

Tunnel Snakes Rule! - We're the Tunnel Snakes. We rule.
Rank: EX
Description: Avenger's second Noble Phantasm, embodying his status as a Tunnel Snake. As a Tunnel Snake, Avenger is capable of 'Ruling,' an ability which here manifests as the ability to invert his Stats- E's become A's, and -'s become +'s. With this ability, it is even possible to do the impossible and seal Bondo's Origin for some time, causing him to be able to succeed, and should he fall, the Grail would be tainted with the concept of 'Ruling,' and thus guarantee a miracle to whoever wished upon it. However, this Noble Phantasm has limits. First, it can only be used in a tunnel. Second, Avenger must often repeat the creed of the Tunnel Snakes to maintain it. If he is unable to speak, then he is unable to maintain it. Finally, this Noble Phantasm will randomly fail without Avenger being aware of it- Indeed, this Noble Phantasm may not activate, or randomly de-activate. There is no true pattern to determine why, but it is more likely to fail in the presence of salt, toucan's, exposed skeletons, and wolves.

Edit: Goddamnit you damned deer.

Most people aren't actively submitting sheets at this stage minus one or two (with most having at least one solid sheet if not more); when Sockpuppet returns I'll make a full update of what we have so far as well as the theoretical dice system you've all been voting on.

Cool. that means I still have time to post this Archer I've been working on. Even though I already have 4 Solid Sheets in.

...

Look, there not much else I can do with a borrowed computer and the haze of painkillers alright?

Thoughts On Dice...
I suppose...

...dice first, though!

One of the biggest issues of dice in Fate/Singularity Roleplays is that it means that even Servants can be felled by the curse of bad luck, especially with a d100 system in maximum simplicity (a la Fate/New World). This can make playing Heroic Spirits rather silly at the expense of players, with bad rolls capable of making Archers miss their shots, Sabers fumbling swords, etc., things that don't fit well with the image of warriors and heroes who became known for their incredible skills.

That in mind, something akin to this system would be more ideal (tho luck could still be d100?). Overall, I'd prefer some discussion on merit between systems and the general vote above.

Still, the faith in Freeform what with Protean Starlight is thus far marvelous, so long as people remain kind and courteous Cx

I think freeform is easier and better, but if we had to, had to, use a dice system I'd prefer something that was just for resolving clashes. Instead of Assassin's failing to conceal themselves, or Lancer's flubbing their weapons, it'd be rolling when directly fighting each other to see who won the fight, or rolling two clashing skills e.g. Presence Concealment vs Presence Detection, etc.

I'd like to reemphasize that I'd prefer freeform though.

That would be the intent of this, yes. Only other things would be stuff like Clairvoyance of long-term future events.

I'd like to emphasize that I'm capable and willing to do either system, though :V

What about giving bonus rolls or rerolls for future predictions?

Ah, Fate/Outer Heaven. You have returned to mock me.

In regards to mechanics, I am on the 'roll to deal with clashes boat.' with most everything else freeform. As amusing as it would be to see a master assassin fall flat on their face due to a bad roll.

I had meant that we'd still have you roll for such uses; depending on how well you do, more than likely I'd say knowledge bonus to your rolls over 'reroll' much the same as being a Heroic Spirit would imply competence.

By clashes, we come into the question of what clash would require a dice roll: would A+ Presence Concealment still roll against C-Rank Presence Detection, or is it more often a luck-check when dealing with equal skills (namely, Luck as Nasu defines, which is in part out of individual player hands thru legend-clashing)?

I know a few powers in D&D where a Clairvoyance-type power simply involves changing the outcome of a roll in a certain situation.

Also, Nasu never meant for his skills and stuff to be part of a tabletop RPG, so you should probably stop thinking of them like that and use what would be easiest for you without regards to "competence" or whatnot.

Uh... Okay...?

I mean that was about the Clairvoyance things and not the rest literally, and I'm perfectly aware of how Nasu didn't make his statistics for DnD, so I'm not really sure what you're trying to say.
