Since the dawn of humankind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything: from God to justice to simple, psychotic rage.
The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from its lust for gold and territory. Hitler shaped a battered Germany into an economic superpower.
But war never changes.
In the 21st century, war was still waged over the resources that could be acquired. Only this time, the spoils of war were also its weapons: Petroleum and Uranium. For these resources, China would invade Alaska, the US would annex Canada, and the European Commonwealth would dissolve into quarreling, bickering nation-states, bent on controlling the last remaining resources on Earth.
In the year 2077, after millennia of armed conflict, the destructive nature of man could sustain itself no longer. The world was plunged into an abyss of nuclear fire and radiation.
But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was simply the prologue to another bloody chapter of human history. For man had succeeded in destroying the world - but war, war never changes. "- Ron Perlman, A combination of excerpts from Legends of the wasteland.
"Well what have we here? another poor fool killed by harsh radioactive wastes. But you, you might be useful! I have become so dreadfully bored with how things have come to pass and want to see another point a view."
"I'm feeling benevolent today so i'll give you another chance, a chance to fix whatever went wrong."
But before any of that I need to know, just who are you?
"really? That's what they called you? wow No wonder you ended up here, Had I met you I'd have killed you myself! What I'm kidding, don;t give me that look."

[ ] You were a deathClaw, a bio weapon creation of the Old World American government created right before the bombs fell using FEV on chameleons. when the bombs fell their was a breach in the facility's security system that forced the research team's to flee the base, And letting your more dim witted Kin wander freely. After realizing the facility was yours to control your ancestors stayed their for many generations, until now. for it was on that day you met another member off your species with your intellect, a deathclaw by the name of Goris. he told a tale of how his tribe was wiped out by the Enclave forcing him to wander the wastes.
You agreed to be part of a team to find the Vault he called home and secure it's resources to help get the research base back to a functioning state, hoping to know how your species came to be. But unfortunately you were stung by a large blue bug on the way and died of it's poison.

It Had taken weeks of travel but you could finally see it, The Ford River Rouge Complex, better know as the Rouge. The Factory was built by the Ford motor company in 1928 , located in what used to be Dearborn, Michigan in the Detroit metropolitan area. , 100 miles (160 km) of interior railroad track, its own Nuclear plant, and integrated steel mill, the titanic Rouge was able to turn raw materials into running vehicles within this single complex, a prime example of vertical-integration production.
Most of the administration buildings have fallen to the elements long before the war as the Facility was Seized and later abandoned by the U.S government. During the Liberation of Anchorage The Government used this and other abandoned Vehicle factories o build the T-45d Power armor, Later abandoned when in thee middle of construction it was deemed cheaper to move t-51b production to another facility the Rouge shut it's door once again, Being left with a security force of ten sentry-bots. 6 Mister
Gustys And over 300 Factory Protectitrons to keep the secrets of Power armor manufacturing safe from any communist hands.
Until now that is, With Military detection equipment still active your team were able to enter the base, gain control of it's Production power, Military surplus, and Robotic defenses. While time has taken it's toll on many off the Machines there the proctecitrons had started cannibalizing the deactivated units to keep the Security active, leaving only 150 of the 300 remaining. After reaching the Factory Supervisors office you were starting to upload your likeness into the facial recognition system when you Hear someone enter when you realize it's your Second in command, Paladin Ben "O'l Stary Eyes" Arnold. You notice he is out of his Armor and in a recon suit when he pulls out A .44 Magnum On you.
You Hear him Mumble " Thirty years as a Paladin fighting for the brother hood and this brat get's to be Elder! I have not gone this far for him to take all the credit!" He Lines up His Pistol aiming to shoot you in the head, Probably blame it on raiders saying you were killed while he was helping you scout the surrounding area.
You Duck behind the desk before he can kill you again and draw your Plasma defender.
What do you do?
[ ] Try and activate the Supervisors personal security using the panic button with you under the desk, hoping your upload finished.
[ ] Grab your mask on the desk for more protection and try and face him head on.
[ ] Suppress him with plasma fire and try and make a break for your team.
[ ] Rush him head on, hoping you can catch him of guard.
Note: You look like this. (Guy on the right.)
And you are located on the second floor of the facility, all interior defenses are offline. You currently do not have a helmet.
Though A little rusted from disuse a good slam into it kicks it into gear, With a sentry bots rolling into the main office.

With A Roar they fire at Paladin Arnold, But you don't survive in the brotherhood as long as he has without knowing how to handle Hostile machines. He Quickly slams into the ground narrowly avoiding the Roar of 5mm fire above him and Jumps up to shoot the sentry bot as it moves around the Desk, While he is out of it's firing range.
Req: 60

1d100: 36 = 11 = 47
It seems the scan was incomplete, had thee sentry bot not been destroyed it more than likely would have fired at you when you got out from under the desk. After finishing the upload your men arrived in the Office.
"Hunter Joenhiem, What the hell happened up here!" Questioned Paladin MacDonald. A look of what you msut assume is horror as he realizes that all that remains of paladin Arnold is the goo on the floor.
You quickly reply" He tried to kill me and take over the facility. He Wanted to earn the credit for finding The Rouge."
Req: 70
1d100: 18
"No........NO. I knew Ben all of my life! he would never betray the brotherhood! I will end you, you murderous Traitor!" Screamed Paladin MacDonald. Drawing his Laser rifle and Opening Fire.

Req:60
1d100: 85
You Groan as you hit the ground and hide under the desk Again, As he shoots at you. This just isn't your day is it?

Prologue Mini Turn: 2
[X] Reason with him, He may be trying to kill you but he might still believe you.
-[x] "MacDonald, if I were a traitor, I'd have shot you already!"
Peeking over the desk, you instantly realize how dumb an idea that was when a laser nearly blasts your neck. Causing you to fall over giving MacDonald time to reload once more.
You take this opportunity to try and reason with him. " MacDonald, If I were a traitor I'd have shot you already! Stand down!"
Req:70 65
1d100: 70
When You stop hearing the sounds of laser fire you continue " I Can prove to you the Arnold tried to kill me, You just need to let me get up, okay. "
After a moment he replies. " I you try anything I will kill you where you stand." Taking that as a yes you rise making sure he notices you putting your Plasma defender on the Top of thee desk.
Req: 50
roll: [ 1d100 = 85]
After picking up the fallen Desk chair and accessing the Mainframes scanners you are able to find a video record kept on the system. Seems like it saved your failed attempt and deemed it a case of workers misusing the scanning equipment. which explains why the sentry bot was sent out even when the Panic button seemed to be broken beyond repair. Stepping aside you show the scan to MacDonald.
"Oh god.........God Dammit Ben. You always were to ambitious for your own good" He says in a whisper before turning towards you.
"Hunter Joenhiem I apologize for my rash decision and endangerment off the mission. I accept any punishment you deem fit." He says with a bow.
roll: [ 1d100 = 63 ]
You place a hand on his shoulder and say " I won;t punish you for losing you cool over a dead friend this time. But I expect better from a Paladin under my command, is that understood."
He looks up to you and says " Yes Sir. Shall I gather the men and explain to them the news of......of Paladin Arnold's Death?"
"Yes, it may be hard for them to hear but they deserve to know what happened." With that order, MacDonald Walks out off the room. Taking one last took at the Pile of Goo that was your Second in command. It occurs to you that you should report to the Elders and Inform them of Your missions completion.
As you set up a ham radio to the Brotherhood frequency you call:
[ ] Elder Elijah (McNamara). After start of the NCR-Brotherhood war your team was sent west to secure this facility for the brotherhood. After hear of heavy losses back west the last Elder you came into contact with was leader of the Mojave Brotherhood. (Start at 2281)
Dick Move Bro ( That's what I named It and I'm sticking with it.): You are basically hated by every major group in the west, and your only hope for victory is to find any other chapters of the brotherhood sent to the east to launch a counter offensive on the NCR, or somehow manage peace talks with them that Don;t involve the firing squads. ( Hard Difficulty roll to allow recruiting outsiders{)
[ ] High Elder Maxson II : 2135 start. It has been many years since the Great War bathed the land In Nuclear fire, And High Elder Maxson has Died of Cancer. His Son who has dubbed himself Maxson II after the death of his father now leads the brotherhood and believes it is worth the risk sending out a team to secure Power armor for the brotherhood.
DMB: You are the first team the ever sent this far east by the Brotherhood. You don't know whats out there and no one knows you. the whole recruit outsiders things is still being debated.( Medium difficulty roll to allow recruiting outsiders.}
[ ] Elder Lyons: 2260 start. You were sent by Lyons from DC hoping this factory would let the chapter stop using the older T-45b and allow most members to use the T-51b to deal with the super mutant threat.
DMB: Most people seem indifferent to you out here. You have done some good by unintentionally clearing out a few raider bases, but most don't seem to care. Also the NCR Hates your guts.(Low Difficulty roll to allow recruiting outsiders)
With the makeshift Radio system your team built out of the old PA system You access The Brotherhood Radio channel. After a few minutes You finally get a connection.
"Hello, This Is Hunter Joenheim, we have reached the factory and Need to consult Elder Lyons. Can you read me?" It only takes a moment for you to get a response.
"Hunter Joenheim this is Paladin Tristan, We read you loud and clear. Patching We'll get Elder Lyons on the line for you immediately ." After Tristan's reply the radio goes silent for a while .
"Hunter Joenheim This Is Elder Lyons, Give me your report. What is the state of the Power Armor Factory?"
"Elder Lyons I have great news! The Rouge complex Power armor facility is fully intact and we were able to secure it with......minor incident. We can begin working on getting the Facility Production worthy."
"What is this "Minor" Incident you speak of?" Lyons Immediately replies.
After Telling Lyons what had transpired a few hours before, You hear him sigh.
"I never thought Paladin Arnold would go that far, He always was a glory hound but Never to the point of treachery. However It matters not now. "
"I am unable to send you reinforcements at this time. The Super Mutants are pressing our positions here hard enough as it is. I recommend you begin recruiting Initiates from the Local Populous, You need more soldiers if you want to defend the other factories efficiently. What power armor can you produce there?" After Lyons question you take a moment to check the Records.
"We have the full schematics for all T-45 model Powered Armor Suits as well as Design notes on the T-51b. This base was shutdown before the T-51 Began construction but some of the half finished Assembly lines remain, I believe we can manage to jury-rig them with the T-45 Assembly Lines and start production once we finish the decryption of the Database."
"That Is good to hear, Steel be with you." After that Lyons cuts the connection. when the Radio returns to static you realize something.
"Arnold had the codes.......well I'll just get them from.......Fuck."
