Actually... I'm not sure exactly how this works. Does it impose pacifism on the people within our radius, or does it protect them by reflecting attacks away from them?
If it imposes pacifism, I can see it being useful kind of like Eraser Head's or Stein's power. It disables or paralyzes our opponent so we can attack them with ninja skills. Problem is that if we can't control it we can become a liability to our fellow heroes if we get close to them. Also, I don't think our aura would protect against attacks from outside the radius.
If it's more of a reflection field... I can see that being pretty useful for protecting fellow heroes or innocent civilians. If there's a fire we could run inside, the flames get reflected away from us, we get close to the civilians and put them inside our field and then let them casually walk out. Could be pretty good for search and rescue. In combat, if we can't control it then I can see it getting confusing if we run into melee. Our enemy could end up being protected just as much as our allies. There's also the issue of the effectiveness being reduced by the number of individuals.
Though a more wacky version of this power would be something like the Justice Field from Red Dwarf:
Anyway, we should probably see exactly how this quirk works before voting on it. All in all, if any one of these interpretations are right, I think this would definitely be preferable to the info-gathering quirk. I mean... gathering intel is useful, but there's nothing stopping us from just playing an intelligent character who pays attention to stuff. Deku is pretty smart and pays attention to how other people's quirks work and that has nothing to do with him having One For All.
I like it already, but boy I'd be 1000% down for this if the Vorpal Sword actually had a bunch of nonsensical properties, instead of just being temporary laser swords. Like imagine it looked like a normal sword in one of those warped mirrors, bending at odd angles and bulging in places. Still has awesome cutting power, also has a lot of weird other powers that don't really have anything to do with a sword, like if you put it on a fruit then it will turn a shade of purple depending on how ripe it is, plus several things with actual combat/rescuing/practical potential with sufficient creativity. Also has odd restrictions and will shift in powerset and appearance or suddenly retract under specific conditions. Alice struggled to understand everything that it did as a teenager, it's just that difficult to use when it's so unreliable, but eventually learned to lean all the way into the nonsense logic that governed it. Became part of her identity, as she took the mantle of The Nonsense Hero. Known for utter unpredictability, her wide array of powers, and her endearingly whimsical attitude at basically all times. Quite popular with young girls. She's pretty good at keeping up with the Vorpal Sword nowadays in how it shifts but it still likes to surprise her.
Gah, such a vivid image I just got. It looks like it won't be quite that but the idea is good enough to go with, the other two are iffy to me anyways.

I'm not giving you all extra powers on top of the sword. The sword might have some more unique properties than just being a laser sword, because that does sound cool.
Extra powers on top of that, even if they are random, is just overkill.
Will we be able to elaborate on her combat style and training background?
I imagined she has trained extensively in and carries actual blades. Not just for skill in using her quirk, but she worked her style as one that switches between energy blades and steel (or whatever material Support comes up with) it could save stamina for when she needs the energy blade.
Heh, I can't help but picture her banter and combat style as Deadpool-like...but classier.

Cool. Although, if it's more efficient to quickly turn her quirk on and off as needed she might base her fighting style on that instead, and only have actual blades as backups.
Mastering throwing knives could fit and would give her a ranged option.
Shit, would her energy blades short out in the rain? Another reason to have backup blades.

"... Alice Dodgson," you say aloud. "Pleased to meet you, sir."
Also known as the Nonsense Hero, Wonderland. You blame your physical appearance for your moniker. You're just so blonde. And blue-eyed. And petite. Sure it made picking a theme easy, but sometimes you wish you didn't look so much like the stereotypical Alice.
All Might beams down at you, just as blonde and blue-eyed as you are, teeth so white you swear you hear them ping in the light. Muscles ripple as he releases your hand from his surprisingly gentle grip. So many muscles. It's more noticeable because you're this close to him but you're pretty sure you could grind meat on his abs. You could crack walnuts between his biceps. The man's built like a Greek God. You realize that that's an observation you've already made, but you really can't help but make it again.
"Aha! You're the new hire Nezu was talking about! I know you. Your hero name's Wonderland, right? Well, it's good to make your acquaintance! As your fellow coworker, I hope we'll be able to have a good working relationship!"
Goodness gracious, All Might's actually heard of you. You didn't think you were that prolific during your tenure as a pro hero.
"I suppose I feel the same... Way..." Something's off.
What does he mean by fellow coworker?
Is All Might teaching at U.A. this year?
Some of the shock you're feeling must have spilled through onto your face, because All Might's smile suddenly looks a lot less jolly and a lot more strained.
"... Oh. Did Nezu not-"
"I haven't yet!" The door opens anda little white fluffy creature in a suit walks in. He could be a dog, or a mouse, or a bear, nobody's entirely certain. What is certain is the fact that he's the Principal.
Your boss, Nezu.
"Ms. Dodgson just arrived at U.A. from overseas! I was actually going to get around to telling her today!" Your boss beams, thin tail waggling.
"... Well, I guess that makes this whole thing a surprise then," you muse to yourself quietly.
"You have to understand, Ms. Dodgson, you weren't the only new hire U.A. is taking in this semester. Although, All Might's circumstances are... Different from yours in that he's not just here to teach. The other teachers have already been informed, so I think it's best to get you up to speed?"
You're not exactly following here...
All Might sighs. And then he deflates in a puff of steam, his entire frame seeming to sag in on itself. Before you stands a rake-thin figure dressed in overly-large clothes, a tall scraggly scarecrow of a man.
"... I should probably give you my real name. Toshinori Yagi. Nice to meet you," the skeletal man says. The voice sounds like All Might's but a hell of a lot more weary. He coughs once, into his fist. He tries to hide it but you can see the telltale sheen of blood on his knuckles as he takes his hand away from his mouth.
You blink once, twice, eyebrows slowly raising to your hairline. Then you turn to your boss. Back to the- Back to All Might. Back to your boss.
"I'm going to need to sit down for this one, aren't I?" You say mildly.
You've never been gladder for your ability to put on a no-nonsense attitude. You've really never been gladder.
"Yeah, let me get you a chair," All Might sighs.
A part of your brain zones out as All Might begins talking about his nigh-career-ending injury five years ago. His search for a worthy successor, his reason for coming to U.A. This sort of thing- It's not exactly what you'd signed up for. You'd signed up to be a teacher. It's feeling uncomfortably like Nezu and All Might are trying to rope you into some kind of conspiracy.
These are the things you consider as you watch All Might lift up his shirt to reveal what has to be one of the nastiest scars you've ever seen.
... This isn't the weirdest thing that's happened to you during your career but it's definitely up there though.
And that's how you begin the day, one week before school's scheduled to start.
Things don't get any less eventful from there.

Yeah you get like, one major character interaction before I cut you loose. I'm pretty much letting you ask anything.

--[X] you did get roped into an Idol gig as a side job for a while, until you dragged your producer to the police when you caught him doing something illegal.
You know I wonder where Vlad King is if we're going to 1-b's teacher...

Because why pass up an opportunity to talk to the Symbol of Peace? And also because it's 1:30 in the morning and i can't put more effort into thinking about the vote than this.
It seems counter-productive to try to pry into All-Might's secrets, especially since we just met him and are already caught up on what the other teachers (save Nezu) know. He didn't tell the details of All for One to the other teachers.

Might as well talk to the other Hero course homeroom teacher.
