There's something I don't like about this whole 'books that foretell the future' thing, especially when it's highly implied Zed himself wrote his own future-telling books. IDK how that nonsense works and I don't think I have a good pulse on Exalted meta-physics at the best of times, but I'm kind of sure each one of those books that exists gives him a little more insight into what will be, and us lugging one around is how he gets his Round Three on us when we don't want it to come.

Big fan of the Excellent Decisions that Rena has embodied so far, and also the Broken Winged Crane is just kind of cool in general.

If we were playing an infernalist, I'd be stuffing these things in our bag to its limit. But we're not. We're playing a chaos-witch, and mixing power sources is the sort of thing that ends in fucking yourself up - and not in the fun way - with a chaos-warped demon mutant after your blood. No, we avoid demon-power. The demons lost. We avoid the hellish prophecy book, because it's innately corruptive in a way we haven't studied extensively to take countermeasures against like we have with chaos. And we give Zed's raving about future histories the middle finger and show him how little we think of it by letting the whole lot burn rather than taking any of it seriously and letting it get a hold over us.

It means nothing. It is nothing. Don't give him the satisfaction of believing his tripe and buying into his sham of oracular visions.

I like the ideas suggested in Seize, but at the same time one of the things I enjoy about Rena is her commitment to the Wyld, its wonders and its "handsome princes," and the way it manifests in her contempt for/fear of/disinterest in all things demonic.

Zed could have let himself be seduced by the hot exalted sorceress and maybe made a pact with her but he didn't so it just proves demons are The Worst.
