Equestria at War

No, Barad-dur is in Yakyakistan, on the border.
Then, in the late months of the Fall season, a breakthrough finally occurs. A unit of the Jaki-Clan, growing tired of what they feel as senseless slaughter, defects to the their fellow Yak forces across the frontline, allowing a gap that the remaining Yakyakistani forces exploit with all they have. Now this bulge in the frontline grows ever long, with the tip of the proverbial spear now poised to strike at the Jaki-Clan capital of Barad-Dur.
?

Right. Saihan Tolgod is the current name of the capital, but at the time I made the game, it was named Barad-Dur, so that will be it's name for the duration of the game.

I think it is dressed in a form of "Tax" as far as i can tell from reading. how it looks exactly...i dont know and my people neither i suspect.

i know how hard a choice that is, ironically...it is bassicly what happens in the Game (focus tree) as far as i can tell. But..if faced with starvation? the remaining leaders decide to do what has to be done to prevent our people from dying.
And trying to improve, and establish trade somewhere to hopefully become self sufficient again.

can you really blame it me or deny that it is...a rational thing to do? I Inherited a Land that was rejected by the riverlands, aparrently even expelled. They seem to have a "anti changeling air", my people are near starvation deaths, and help was already offered.
should i just watch and let my people starve or accept the, maybe, unethical Help i have right in front of me.
To be clear, I do kind of blame you for overturning eight centuries of pacifism without trying any alternate solutions the moment you take control of the nation.

As said im not totaly in the know about the Lore so correct me if im wrong but....i am doing right now bassicly 1 to 1 what the focus tree of my nation suggests. so that is not entirely fair of you.

Randomwriter is going down one of their focus lines and I don't have a problem with it. It's frustrating for me as Equestria, but feels reasonable as a player. You on the other hand are like "forget everything we've been doing for literal centuries, these changelings that are against everything we stand for totally have the right idea"

As in, if because of the starvation you reluctantly requested food from the Changelings, and then slowly your culture changed over time due to that, I'd be fine with it, but that's not how I'm perceiving your current actions.

You do realize that grenclyfs focus tree has exactly that? where...if trait with riverland fails, starvation is near AND my queens depressed. the focus tree goes down to reconcile with the Changelign lands and adopt ther way of thinking?
most of the paths that come if the riverlands reject me ARE pretty dark, ranginf rom full on communist revolution , to going absolutely dark and hating everyone, over...going to grow closer to the changeling lands.

me? ijust am accepting the help they offered from things they collect anyway with me taking them or not.

The Greneclyf tree has a couple paths. If cooperation with the continent is denied, there is one path for Equestria and 3 paths for the Changeling Lands (one each depending on if it's harmonist, communist, or fascist).

If both Equestria and the Changeling Lands refuse, then they have an internal communist/fascist/status quo revolution tree.

I uh, didn't actually ask him to change any of his culture though? Nor do I care.

Also, since this might not be clear enough right and might come off diffrent: i am not hoisting the old Flags and return to the old ways.

the Queen is depressed and for now cant govern, i took a hint from the focustree and let the council run the things for now. seeing how the changelings already set up a port and offered food, they are the logical person to ask for something to not starve off imidiately.
my Delegation and the other actions are in the mindset of my changelings seeing that they are far behind in almost every aspect and trying to "improve" by becoming a better Nation (more advanced) hoping to become a more attractive trading Partner. I am not going there to learn how to be a "evil changeling" or are going of the Path that we have and throw away our culture or way of live.
what comes of this will probably depend upon the reaction of others.

Or you could adopt Communism. Just throwing that out there.
I tought about that...actually the idea...of changeling communists is really tempting, and it seems we have starvation in common to some degree. but right now im just trying to settle in here, not die of starvation and reach a somewhat....resonable state of development.
And as for now...the changelings did lend me the most help and offers, even taking in account the strong ideology diffrences.

So I got some sad news for everyone. Lurker has asked me inform you all that he has been forced to put the game on hiatus for the time being. He is currently dealing with some IRL issues that leaves him unable to give the game the attention and energy he feels like it deserves. This was not an easy decision for him to make. Once he has dealt with the situation he intends to return to running the game should there still be interest in it.

Simply awful, I swear pony games on SV are cursed or something.

Due to a critical lack of pony, I'll make my own pony game. Thread should be up in 12-36 hours or so.
