Problem with that is, that we are working with specialized materials that we cannot resupply.

Okiie is actually one of the few with actual C-rank jutsus. Not actually that low.

You do have more of said supplies. Not enough, obviously, to keep on destroying it forever, but Shizue judges she might, just, have enough to recreate both of her puppets once before she's out of it. If she's clever with it, at least.

Where you'd get more of it after that? Well...

Yeah, in this system specially they seem pretty decent... For our level.

Fireball is nice, but not what I'd throw against Special Jonin+ foes.

I will take two teammates with solid, specialized builds.

[X] Ichiman. Good at short and medium range, he's been working on his jutsu, and he almost has enough Fuinjutsu skill to be able to use it in battle. Certainly, he can augment her mines with his fuinjutsu seals, if need be. Additionally, he's been working on his chakra flow, which might make a good counter-threat, and draw attention away from her puppets. At a great distance, though, he's in trouble.

[X] Akachi is different. In fights, he's fast, precise, so deadly from medium and long range it really is obscene to see. He draws in a single moment, he throws in a single moment, and woe betide anyone who is in his way. He even has a belt like his mentor. And when Shizue had gotten close to him in a fight, he could've gutted her like a fish. Now, against a Jonin, again, but…

Ichiman is good at short and medium. Akachi is good ad medium and long. Shizue is good at short, medium and long.

Okiie I don't trust to be competitive when punching up, Saya would be redundant and I'd rather have Ichiman's more synergistic and versatile build.

Not picking Yuichi and Seichiiro because I don't want to die.

Shizue knew that people were scrambling and coming up short, that Emiko was stalking around, packing bags and sweeping up. Doing everything, the way she always did, without talking about it, without either apologizing or bragging particularly, without sleeping it seemed like, just like everyone else there.

It wasn't healthy, probably couldn't ever become healthy

I wish we'd take the option to carefully pack up the site. It's the stress that will kill Shizue without something to relieve it, but SV Questers don't believe in stress.

[X] Saya is best close up. Very close up. Her poisons are terrifying, her Taijutsu is good enough that Emiko's… not losing, not at all. Even just in Taijutsu. But it's obvious by now which one of them is more likely to wind up a Taijutsu-master. That said, as a little berserker, she can sometimes be pulled too far, and at a distance, she has no move except to close the gap.

[X] Okiie, her boyfriend, a person with far too many jutsu. He's great at getting away now… from peers. Whether this will translate into escape in other ways isn't known, but he's definitely not slacking off. His crowd control and area denial could certainly help compliment Ryuko.

Just think of it as who you're choosing to die with, really.

[X] [Stinger] Plan Better Tanking

-[X] Armament 43 > 44 [4]
-[X] Structure 34 > 36 [7]
-[X] Design 30 > 32 [6]

Stinger is superfast, so now we need to work on the supporting structure for more defense, offense, and health.

Just as important to remember is that he is not our heavy hitter; Ryuko is. As such I gave him the net to help set up a take down shot.

[X] [Ryuko] Plan Memphis Belle
-[X] Winged Extravengances [25]
-[X] Structure 30 > 38 [27]

If we are going for aerial superiority, we should make sure we cannot be shot down. Especially as being bait seems to be part of the plan.

@The Laurent @lkmcclenahan Can you tell us a bit more about the flight mechanics?

I imagine Ryuko would be in the air a certain number of rounds?

Would Ryuko get a speed bonus while in flight?

Shizue can cover long range and Crowd control pretty well and help set up opponents for kill shots. That means we need teammates that can take advantage of that as well as protect us. Saya will be deadly with the amounts of debuffs we can set up. Ichiman as midrange can take take down anyone we net or trip while staying close to Shizue.

Speed bonus, bonus against certain attacks (including, you know, a massive one against Taijutsu, though not quite an immunity, because ninja), but a penalty against others (Big, flying target). And also a bonus to certain attacks, for the accuracy and damage, because of the overlook.

And yes, a certain number of rounds. Hrm. Less than ten rounds? More than three. I'm trying to remember what I was thinking, so sorry if that's still a little vague. But at least three.

@TotallyNotEvil to be fair, the fluff is written by Shizue and she still does not have the greatest self-confidence and hedges her bets a bit too much.

Having something to set up combos is pretty worthwhile.

I agree, I was just hesitant because "maybe it will inconvinience someone", well, just doesn't pass on much faith.

But yes, having this kind of capability is one of the key strenghts for our one-girl tag-team.

Putting both of our close range experts into the same team seems like it would leave other teams with a huge gap. We should only take one of Saya and Ichiman. I think that Saya and Okie make a better team than Saya and Akachi because the latter are both focused on single target damage. Okie has defensive and utility jutsu can cover for Sayas straightforward fighting style. Therefore:

[X] Ichiman. Good at short and medium range, he's been working on his jutsu, and he almost has enough Fuinjutsu skill to be able to use it in battle. Ichiman intercepts in close range together with Stinger, Ryuko handles ranged defense for Shizue and Akachi and attacks (to a degree), Akachi snipes. Sounds like a balanced team to me.

Okiie is pretty incredible as both support and hitting hard, because he has both high ranking Jutsus and diversity, which plays into hitting unexpectedly hard if he can pin someone for our puppets to break out their own high power jutsus in a combination. Elemental mixing in battle hits really hard(classic being Wind amplified Fire or Water backed Lightning), but takes a high degree of coordination(which we have) to pull off.
Saya mainly because we work great together, and she's the better taijutsu specialist, especially with Stinger to take the hits and tie down an opponent for her to be nickle and diming away a stronger foe with poison. Can swap her with Ichiman just fine though

On the other hand, it also mentions that his mobility has some issues and if the Ryuko vote passes, she is going to be up in sky and unavailable for a shield. Shizue would still have Stinger to help her, but that would leave Okiie open.

On top of the fact that the diversity is already provided by Ryuko and her multitude of heads as well as the fact that she will have better bonuses from aerial superiority.

Its an attack power trade, which is where the melee expert comes in to cover for Okiie. I think Ryuko+Okiie output is good enough at kicking our output up a notch that it COULD hit through nominally superior opponents with the synergy effects. Especially if they underestimate us as Genin.

If that is the case, then Ichiman is better as he covers midrange better than Saya, who can only cover people in really short range.

Even then, I still do not agree as that relegates one of our numbers to guard duty when we want everyone attacking together.

With both Saya and Ichiman, they can both provide their own protection, while Shizue can assist in anyone attacking from long range with her own Ryuko.

Anyone distracted by Saya is not going to paying attention to the flying dragon. Anyone looking up at the dragon is not going to see tiny Saya.

Ichiman works well with her as he is skilled to fight with her without getting in her way.
