It's solidly on the like, well meaning but accidentally messing up end of the scale? It's just also upsetting. It can be both!

I can imagine Shizue reacting that way, in a kind of flustered panic, so like, it's well done.

My angle is, we've been seeing the clues for while but opted never to confront him over it each time.
Back in the Archipelago we've already seen enough to make a guess, especially the statements about being uncomfortable with his own body. Just that people were distracted by lots of dying going around...

Mostly, we hadn't really seen Shizue react by being flustered or startled. When shes surprised she mostly seems to freeze but keep composure, or to make like Emiko and pretend she's got it all under control while panicking.

I think these votes are going in the other direction of not understanding enough.

buli's in particular just asks too many questions.

Okay, Shizue doesn't really get this. But that doesn't mean we have to force her foot into her mouth.

I think that this is accepting enough without being too knowledgeable.

buli-buli's vote option seems too mean from both an in-character perspective and an out of character perspective. Shizue knows the importance of acceptance now and getting details from Saya later.

My first write-in was 'borderline' too understanding. Laurent suggested changing up the phrasing, emphasizing the lack of understanding.

This is another attempt at that. Which is preferable to the write-ins that trade ALL understanding in favor of being (unintentionally from an IC view) mean.

I've liked a lot of these votes, and I'm second guessing myself a few times over here, but this one is a balance between some of the positions? Misunderstanding but being a bit quieter about it, and giving more space over to Maki.
