Earth Bet: House of the Sun (Cultist Simulator/Worm)

The well is a good option for us, it is sacred to the Red Grail and Velvet.
So at least we will be able to find Grail and Moth scraps in it, as well as possibly something else useful.
The main thing is to do this before "An Awareness of Appetite" disappears, because if we also invoke the influence of the Grail, then when we add up, we will receive a +20 bonus to Grail throws to overcome the trials of the well.

By the way, about the Grail and everything related to it.
Witherbrine26 Can we try to fix the relationship with Arch at the next turn? Will the Grail or the Moth be used for this check?

Depends on whether someone else grabs him, and how much he remembers. If he's just run out into the street screaming about math and amber that's going to be a problem.

Good thing we have a Grail Influence, then.

I wanted to get to All-1 next turn so let's see:
4 actions(we already negleted work this turn so better play safe)
1 to talking with Arch.
1 to healing him from his Fascination(if the Master doesn't do it herself).
1 to reading the SH and Forge books.
1 to reading the Lantern manuscript.

Looks fine to me, might drop one of the study actions if there are any fleeting opportunities next turn.

I think we should take full advantage of the influence of the grail, so I would do so.

1 to Attention of the Laws (Grail)
1 to talking with Arch.
1 to Ask around, start seeing what folks know
1 to Expedition to the Well

You can also add a communication action to this by taking 1 AP from work.
Thus, we will add +20 to each listed action. This is a pretty good opportunity that I think should not be missed.

1 to Attention of the Laws (Grail)
As long as we use it once Attention of the Laws is a free action, so no need to use one action on it.

1 to Expedition to the Well
About this, the Well is a Mansus Expedition and those tend to be very dangerous and we are not even at All-1 yet, we should put it on hold till we have more power. Going by the description Winter/Grail 2 seems to be the bare minimum or a good Artifact.

I think if we don't want to talk to someone, then we can take the second fragment of the grail from the master by raising the Grail to level 2 and increasing the bonus to +30.

+20 to the Grail's actions is actually more than a level 2 grail. That's why this is such a unique opportunity for us.

A reminder that an AotL is used for one roll and is then consumed.
I forgot this detail, but then the bonus from the influence of the grail is even more valuable. Since with this influence, the grail will be equal to +15, that is, it will actually be equal to the grail of level 3.
It is unlikely that we will achieve this in the next 4-5 turns, so we need to use this bonus to the fullest.

There's still the part of the turn about looking into our enemy which may affect further plans, but I agree that doing the Well exploration next turn is a good idea.
In fact I'd be up for calling a Grail AotL, considering that if you look at the exploration's description Grail's being used.

Would AOTL be applicable for the expedition?

Effect: Pick a single Lore and double its Application Bonus for a single action. You cannot stack this effect on the same Lore, however you can cast it multiple times on different Lores.
AOTL doubles the application bonus of a single action.

-A hurdle will always be countered by one (or more) kinds of Lore. This will not be a use of "Application" or "Knowledge" bonus. Instead, the total sum of the Lore level, across all creatures involved, will be used. Regardless if that Lore level is innate from a creature, or due to an equipped artifact.
But expeditions don't seem to use Application bonuses.

--[X] Alicja has just arrived in town and is asking concerning questions. You'll have to figure out how to handle this.

War—it was always a heavy topic, something no one wanted to touch, but it had a way of creeping back into your life, like a shadow waiting to strike when you weren't looking. You had done things back then. Things you weren't particularly proud of, fueled by reckless dreams and misguided notions of glory. You were younger then, head full of grand ideals, ideas of change, of power, of victory. But those dreams, like so many others, had turned sour. They left you with little more than scars and a bullet that almost ended it all—dumped in a shallow grave with barely a breath left in your lungs.

That was the past, though. You couldn't afford to wallow in it, not now. Not when the past was clawing its way back, demanding payment. Alicja was in town, and she wasn't here to reminisce. She was here to finish what you started, and you knew she wouldn't stop until you were six feet under. Her face lingered in your mind—etched by fire, both figuratively and literally, the first time you saw her. Flames had flanked her like some sort of avenging spirit, and the rage in her eyes was undeniable. No matter the justifications, no matter how necessary your actions were, none of it mattered to her.

You leaned forward, fingers brushing the worn edges of the folder on your table. Just touching it sent a wave of unease through you, as if the paper might snap at any moment. Inside was the story of a life left behind, buried along with everything you once were. The past, yellowed with age, documented and locked away, but now, you had to confront it once more. Alicja was hunting you, and if you didn't remember every detail, she'd kill you without hesitation.

"Stara wojna, rozpalona na nowo," you muttered, the words spoke in your mother tongue, the weight of them sinking into your chest. This was an old war, rekindled and reignited, and you couldn't afford to forget the fire that came with it.

You started sifting through the fragile papers, scanning the information you'd gathered on her. It had been years since you'd last opened this file, but it was necessary. Every detail, every small fact, could mean the difference between life and death now. She wasn't the same girl you met back then, and neither were you. But some things didn't change—her rage, her persistence, her need for vengeance.

Alicja. First name only. Her surname? A mystery. Maybe she'd cast it off long ago. Her hair was incredibly vivid—fiery red, a trait she likely got from her Irish mother. But she was more than that. Strong, crude, dangerous. She had been known for her hard drinking and her relentless work in rough jobs—her life was shaped by raw strength and toughness.

You paused, gripping the pen in your hand tighter as you added a note to her profile. Determined. If nothing else, that word defined her. Six years—that's how long she'd been chasing you. Six years of evading her, watching your back, knowing she would never stop until she found you. It was impressive, in a way. But you had hoped that you would have left her behind in Poland, clearly you were wrong.

The file in front of you was a reminder of everything you'd tried to outrun. But now, there was no more running. You had fled across continents to the United States, hoping distance would give you some peace, but Alicja wasn't one to be deterred. She'd come, eventually. And now, she was here.

You needed a plan. A way to deal with her before she tore your life apart, piece by piece. Because if there was one thing you knew for certain, it was that Alicja was here to settle old scores, and if she had her way, it would end with you dead in a ditch.

[] Track her down, finish this
-You'll get suited up, head over to whatever motel she's holed up in and kick down the door
-Should you win the fight you'll have full choice what to do with her
-There is always a chance somebody starts digging

[] Plant bait, prepare a sting
-You'll plant evidence that if found will lead to her attempted arrest
-You will have very little control of what is done to her
-It may be discovered that you planted evidence, which would raise quite a few questions

[] Sit back, set a trap
-You'll prepare so that when she moves against you you'll automatically collect evidence of her crimes
-You'll be ceding the initiative to her
-Not inherently suspicious, but quite strange

[] Hands off, just watch
-You'll keep tabs on her, and if you're lucky you'll know when she starts to make a move
-Other groups may notice the surveillance
-She may notice your surveillance

[] You'll let your Master handle it
-Alicja will be dealt with, permanently
-You will receive a gift
-You will owe your Master a favor

The above are simply how you plan to approach the situation, none of them will happen immediately. The exception is letting your Master handle it, in that case Alicja will be dealt with immediately.

Let's do it!

Strong relationships are forged by mutual favours. You get to be a better friend with someone by asking them to help you with something!

Plus a gift! A free gift! What's there not to like?

[X] You'll let your Master handle it
