A brief reprieve! Yet the future remains in peril. The Androids, spurred on by the dying taunts of Son Gohan, have left the Earth for the stars. The sinister duo leaves a trail of destruction in their wake. Can a new generation of warriors surpass those who came before, and defeat the sinister duo? Or will the galaxy forever be cursed to be the hunting grounds of the Androids? Find out next time, on Dragon Ball Z!

DRAGON BALL Z: SALVATION

Earth has been given a reprieve, at the cost of the wider universe.

The Androids, spurred on by the dying taunt of Son Gohan of being trapped on an empty world they've created for themselves, have forced Bulma Briefs to build them a spaceship. They, along with a gaggle of hostages, have taken to the stars to continue their acts of terror for their own sadistic amusement. In the time since, Earth's people have begun to tentatively rebuild the patchwork ruins of their lives. But while rubble strewn cities and the scarred countryside are filled with the sounds of life once more all know it is a strained peace. One that exists on the edge of a blade. For the Androids still live, somewhere up in the stars, and many fear Earth's defenses are still insufficient should they decide to return.

Earth's lone defender, Trunks Briefs, has strived to change this. Seeking out those with potential both on Earth itself, and those among the stars to bring out the strength within them that may allow them to challenge the Androids and finally bring an end to the horror. While lacking the training and experience of his elders, Trunks has put his all into this new task in order to avenge his teacher, and all those who had died at the hands of 17 and 18. Under his tutelage, the new warriors of Earth have grown in power. Yet still, it is not enough.

But the universe is ever in motion.

Word has reached Earth of cataclysm and horror, brought there by fleeing Namekian survivors who run to the only place in a hostile universe they feel may welcome and protect them. New Namek is destroyed at the hands of the Androids. The latest in a bloody trail of destruction they have left in their wake. Strength will not be gained solely by sitting on Earth. There are no dragonballs there or anywhere else to summon the power of Trunks' elders. It will be up to him, and his students, to meet and finish this threat. For months, they have marshaled themselves to do so.

Trunks' students, guided by him and his mother, will take to the stars to right what wrongs of the Androids they can and strive to gain the inner might needed to vanquish their evil once and for all.

To finally return peace to Earth, at long last.

Hello! And welcome to Dragon Ball: Salvation. As you may have surmised, this game takes place in an alternate version of Future Trunks' timeline. Here you will be playing students of Trunks, or people who have otherwise rallied to his call. And among the dozens he has trained, you are the ones that have been deemed either ready, or holding the potential to gain strength among the stars. Your character's reasons are their own, the story as to how it came to this equally so. But the end goal is roughly the same: You will face the twin terrors of the universe, and bring a final end to one of Earth's great shames.

Power Levels:...are always a bit of a bitch. But, with Dragon Ball, it's also something that needs to be taken into account. So, we've decided to nab some inspiration from After the End and Bringer of the Death. We will be tracking it with numbers rather than trying to do it by sagas like other Dragon Ball rp's. All in order to make it easier to track characters' levels of strength and how they progress. Like in AtE, and BoD transformations will be additive instead of multipliers. SSJ would, at its base, give 145 million units for example. Expanding your reservoir of Ki will come through completing missions, and training.

Just a note for the Human/Saiyan hybrid. Oozaru stalls out at x10 your base strength, and will not move past that until said base strength is expanded. The x10 modifier is a misconception by the Saiyan race. Oozaru form wants to sit at one million, though it can only do so if the base form allows for it. It can, also, be trained up quicker than your base strength.

Saiyan hybrids and Arcosians won't be the only ones able to transform, by the way. For Humans/Earthlings and Namekians, you're going to have to poke around to try and discover it. For Alien Species, well, the GM's will talk to you and work something out if thats the route you want to go down.

Discord link right here!

Missions and Training:

Your adventures in space! Chasing the Androids, writing their wrongs, and in general getting caught up in a galaxy still heaving from the fall of the Cold Clan and its bloated empire—the Planet Trade Organization. And, of course, seek to gain the strength needed to end 17 and 18's reign of terror once and for all. In general, how we advance the plot. Per the end of each mission a 1d10 will be rolled to see how much power you've gained. If it hits ten, then you'll get another die to roll. Training, that DBZ classic, will be roughly what your character does in between missions. If training your base power, then a 1d10 will be rolled, though the table used will be different from the missions one. Training can also be used as a means of trying to unlock your race's inner potential and transform, or find some other means to do so. Training is also a good way to gain new techniques for your character to use, expanding their arsenal.

Here's the character sheet. Get crackin'.

---Character sheet:

Name:

Appearance: (Can either be a faceclaim or a description. Just the gist of what your character looks like. Though if you want to go into detail, go off.)

Gender:

Age: (16 years minimum. Trunks doesn't want to send the younger fighters off into battle if he can avoid it.)

Race Options: (Select One)

  • Human/Earthling: You are one of the survivors of the Androids sadistic reign on earth. Human or beastfolk. Maybe you never saw them, just heard the screams over the radio as cities burned and the population was hunted for sport, maybe you escaped one of their killing sprees by the skin of your teeth. When the Twins left for the heavens and Trunks sent out his message offering training in Ki you accepted, those two monsters have to be dealt with and you're looking to be the one who does it.

  • Human Saiyan Hybrid (Artificial): Your backstory is the same as the Human/Earthling option but with the added twist that you volunteered to undergo Bulma's magus opus of a Saiyan genetic therapy. At the completion of the project you are biologically a Saiyan complete with Tail, transformations, large appetite and an inbuilt affinity for conflict. Only time will tell if reviving the once notorious Warrior race will go poorly or well.

  • Namekian Survivor: 17 and 18 programmed with knowledge of the Dragon Balls made a point to hunt down and destroy New Namek after they began their interstellar rampage, You are one of the few survivors, sadly none with the ability to create Dragon Balls managed to escape but there's still a chance for your people to see a new day and for justice to be dealt to the two monsters that killed so many.

  • Arconsian: Freeza is dead, his father is dead, his brother is dead, the Empire slash Business Operation the Cold Clan built is in tatters as rebellion sweeps the Galaxy and now two unnaturally powerful wrecking balls are making everything worse. You are a lesser relative of the Cold's not born with the great potential of Freeza and his immediate kin but perhaps with training and an alliance with this strange Super Saiyan of Earth that can be changed.

  • Alien Species: The Universe teems with life, species of all shapes and sizes fill its worlds, once you lived under the shadow of the Cold Clan who sold the world they depopulated now you live under the shadow of these artificial lifeforms that burst worlds like bubbles and make sadistic sport of entire planetary populations. An alliance with Earth and its peoples seems the only path to safety.

Starting Power Level: (100K units minimum, 1 million units maximum. Go for what you think suits your character.)

Bio: (Backstory and personality)

Fighting Style: (Consider how your character would fight, and how their backstory would tie into it. Martial artist, desperate survivor, ect. How would your character approach a fight? List any special techniques they have here as well. )

Question, with the advent of things like Ultra Instinct, Ultra Ego and Gohan's Beast form, are unique transformations on the table after we complete the Canon progression?

I'm honestly not sure people would get farther than Super Saiyan, given the main goal of killing the Androids. You can pitch unique transformations to either of us if you so wish, and Toxin and I will see if it fits in with the scope of the RP or not.

I figured they'd've progressed from their canon PL, with the amount of "destructive training" they're doing :V

---Character sheet:

Name: Lucas Thompson

Appearance: Lucas has short brown hair with light skin and blue eyes, he still has his Saiyan Tail and has a toned build from years of training, his usual clothing are long sleeved shirts and long sleeved pants.

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Race Options: (Select One)
  • Human Saiyan Hybrid (Artificial): Your backstory is the same as the Human/Earthling option but with the added twist that you volunteered to undergo Bulma's magus opus of a Saiyan genetic therapy. At the completion of the project you are biologically a Saiyan complete with Tail, transformations, large appetite and an inbuilt affinity for conflict. Only time will tell if reviving the once notorious Warrior race will go poorly or well.
Starting Power Level: 500K

Bio: Lucas was a normal kid, if a bit of a homebody, he loved his dad and his two little brothers and mourned for his mother after she passed away while giving birth to the twins. And for most of his life he focused on being the best son and older brother as possible. studying hard, making sure the twins didn't get into too much trouble, minding the house whenever he had free time between the former two options. It wasn't easy but Lucas was happy. This was of course until the Androids arrived, he and his family were out on a shopping trip when they stuck. It was a Massacre with Lucas and a few other people only surviving because he played dead when the Androids inspected their work. Ever since then he has held a burning hatred for the two. Trunks offer for training was the best thing for his hate finally giving him a way to get revenge, and when the offer for an enhancement procedure for more power, well he felt like he had no other choice he doesn't care if he risks becoming a giant rampaging monkey, he wants the two dead. Personality wise Lucas is the most ride or die person you could ever meet sticking by the people he loves and trusts the most and tends to be protective, though some would claim overly so, of their lives not wanting what happened to his family to happen to them. He's stubborn and tends to put the needs of others above those of himself hating suffering and seeks to end it whenever he comes across it. He's also has a bit of a temper that's only gotten worse with his transformation into a Saiyan, actually come to think about it, so have the intensity of all of his emotions really. and a hatred of those who would manipulate and abuse the trust given to them for selfish means.

Fighting Style: Physical fighter, with a preference to get in and deal as much physical damage as possible while using his Ki to amp up his strength, speed, and durability. Prefers punching, but will kick, scratch, claw and even bite if he feels like he has to, trying to use every part of his body in order to better attack.

Tbf, the Androids in both the Z Timeline and the Future Timeline were able to defeat Super Saiyans pretty definitively.

So it depends on their original level of strength I think. I don't think they've fought anything stronger than Frieza, so I don't think the Androids would have gotten stronger persay after setting out into space.

But if they're as strong or stronger than Zs Androids, then just going Super Saiyan probably isn't enough to defeat them.

Even canon 17, who kind of retired after Cell, could keep up with the Tournament of power

Super Saiyan was strong enough to be a match for Perfect Cell as well, though admittedly Goku was the only one to stand toe-to-toe against him before Gohan went SSJ2. As for the Androids strength...well, its an excellent question! We'll have to see how things pan out, eh?

Oh, for sure. I meant more that *just* going Super Saiyan wouldn't be enough. You'd still need to train and master Super Saiyan, whether through the Goku or Vegeta routes.

Oh indeed! Thats something players will have to take into account. I will say, though, that I am a big believer in numbers outside of PL's mattering. Get enough sufficiently powerful people together, and some mountains look less imposing.

Name: Nephenee Anties

Appearance:

(I kinda want her parents to have been material engineers so they could have made her a set of custom armor)

Gender: Female

Age: 20

Race Options: Human Saiyan Hybrid (Artificial)

Starting Power Level: 750,000

Bio:
Born a few years before Gohan died, Nephenee had just enough contact with their fallen defender to have some of their perseverance and refusal to give up hope set root within her. While her parents were once lab technicians for Capsule Corp, Nephenee talents were more physically orientated in nature. For years while the Androids hunted down humanity for sport was able to watch and listen from inside an older, intact CC facility as the world slowly died around them.

After Gohan stopped visiting the various enclaves, Nephenee threw herself into training with what little her parents could dig out of the CC archives on Ki manipulation and its link with martial arts. They figured even if they didn't want her fighting she could at least use it to run away should they ever be found. Years later, when Bulma asked for help to finish that cursed ship the Androids would use to take their slaughter to the stars, Nephenee's family regrouped with Trunk's enclave which gave her formal training for the first time while her parent helped build the ship.
Of course, bad always comes with good. Ken and Laura Anties are part of the Android's set of hostages, gang-pressed into maintaining their ship while they murder their way across the galaxy. Something in Nephenee snapped then and when hybridization to strengthen people was proposed she was one of the first to sign up.

Nephenee is absolutely focused on being able to rescue her parents, the nature of this tragedy personal for the first time. She half resents half warships Bulma, at once the provider of a means to save her parents and the reason they came out of hiding and into danger in the first place. Normally relaxed, has thin skin for any kind of procrastinating and a short temper overall these days.

Fighting Style:
Nephenee hasn't had the years of formal training many might of had, leaving her melee technique rough and basic by the group's standards. She tends to try rushing, afraid of freezing in close combat even if it might be better to stop and analyze their moves first. The hybridization has also added signifyingly to her weight and a few inches to her height, leaving her off balance at the worst times.

Conversely, her Ki control is impeccable aided by the large increase she has recently had. Flight and ki blasts come easily to her and she tends to try and use her energy for deceptive techniques, like flashbangs and fake ki signatures to throw the opponent off balance. Recently she's been trying to use Ki not to just strengthen her body but form a kind of energy barrier, but the costs still render it unusable except in desperation.

A timeline for the basic events would be nice. In Future Trunks canon he looks like he would have been 19 when he killed the Androids? I kinda wanted her to be like 5 when Gohan died, but it looks like if she was 12 she'd have been 17 when Future Trunks orginally kills the
Androids.

(and anything else you might want edited of course)

well now, this seems interesting,

god a few ideas running around in my brain so I gotta ask, with the alterations to how super saiyan and great ape seem to work, there's the question of how the heck golden great ape, ikari, and ss4 would work since I think these alterations would in fact being them into the ball park of 'viable for the scope of this rp, and they are cool as heck not gonna lie.

Golden Oozaru would, tentatively, be combining the might of a Great Ape with a Super Saiyan. Essentially combining their energy together. Being conscious and control of the Golden Oozaru would not, however, automatically mean access to SSJ4. Ikari could be a viable enough path to pursue, though trying to control the rage inherent to that state would be harder to control than an Oozaru's, without the body of a Great Ape to spread through.

...i think I see what your getting at lol, ssj4 would effectively being using Ikari in tandem with super saiyan instead of 'just' mastering golde ngreat ape' then, If I'm reading what your saying right.

It could be something like that. Could be indeed. I'm going to be vague on something like SSJ, besides noting that controlling Golden Oozaru would not be enough to access such a primal power.

Basic Timeline. New

The timeline we are working with for this game is as follows:

Trunks is born Age 766. Goku dies of Heart attack virus the same year. Dr Gero without the focus of "Kill Son Goku" invests more in programming 17-18 for World Domination, this doesn't fully take but gives them a mental framework more sociopathic than the altered timeline versions of main timeline Dragon Ball.

Age 767 This is when 17-18 are activated. They kill Gero and begin their reign of terror on Earth, killing off the remaining Z-Fighters. Eventually leaving Gohan as the last traumatized survivor.

768- 779 The Twins run wild on Earth, killing cities worth of people for fun and using Gohan when he eventually trains himself up to Super Saiyan as their personal punching bag.

In Age 780. Trunks goes SSJ at 14, after Gohan dies. In this timeline Gohan's dying words were a taunt towards 17-18 that once they killed off everyone on Earth they'd have nothing. They actually listened to this, stuck around Gohan's corpse, laughed at Trunks going Super Saiyan and after thrashing the poor kid they dragged him back to Capsule Corp with a "Build us a spaceship or the brat gets it" threat to motivate Bulma. Later in that year Bulma completes the spaceship and they are off to make problems on the interstellar stage.

780 - 784 Trunks spends two years training SSJ while helping efforts to rebuild the Earth, then begins training others for two years.

The Game starts in Age 784.

name: kirov
apperence:

gender: male

age: 54

race options: human saiyan hybrid (artifical)

starting power level: 600,000

Bio: a former member of the Red Ribbon Army who was eventually deprogrammed of RRA indoctrination. After finding out the androids were the result of Geros madness Kirov pretty much offered himself up for the hybridization process, seeing it as a chance to finally atone for some of the things he had done earlier in life. finding out that 'the little menece' was in fact, both an alien, and the same race as this process would turn him into, threw the old man for a loop, but it also meant he had some idea of his new capabilities compared to the others, which allowed him to get a small head start in the training he would undergo. (and possibly a few zenkai boosts.)

Fighting style: Brutal and straightforward, unlike many of the others, Kirov was a soilder, not a warrior, meaning he was there to win, not 'have a good fight' this reflected in his techniques after the hybridization process, his attacks often being designed primarily for lethality or crippling blows such as ke blades or ultra narrow beams of ki with extremely high penetration power, or utility, like the Solar Flare. After finding out how easy it could be to goad people into taking an attack from him, he also developed one or two overwhelmingly powerful attack that while telegraphed, would hit devestatingly hard to exploit that tendency, as well.

Name: Rakutsu Hayasa

Appearance:

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Race Options: Human

Starting Power Level: 100K

Bio: Rakutsu has no significant up bringing. He's a child born in South City with a small family. This consisted of him, his twin sister, and his mother. Both children grew up in poor conditions due to their mother's lack of money. They were all still happy in each other's presences regardless.

This changed when the androids attacked South City and killed a majority of its people. The twins held the unfortunate fate of watching their mom die at their hands, while in hiding. They wandered the ruins for a time before meeting a group of survivors. Rakutsu and his sister lived with them since then and learned fighting from a member. The purpose to protect themselves from bandits and thugs.

Both twins held great skill for fighting, however. Often needed to fight thugs as the small group moves from place to place. Rakutsu and his friends were in another town when the androids attacked. Each member of their traveling party died during the attack. Not wanting to die helplessly, the young twins tried to fight back. That went terribly for the both of them. Rakutsu was thrown through a building, which fell on him, and his sister thrown off a cliff.

He didn't know how he survived, but awoke in a bed. His savior being Trunks Briefs, who was tracking the androids to that town. The older teen became his mentor and taught him Ki control. Rakutsu's power is considerably weaker than the others due to being fully human. But he's still determined to help fight the androids.

Rakutsu is normally stoic and says little at times. Growing up in a world ravaged by killer androids destroyed much childish acting and innocence within him. He's blunt and to the point most of the time, preferring to get to business. There is self doubt in him about if he can truly be any help to the cause. This is due to learning of how little help the human fighters were before and during the android attack. His doubts made him reconsider becoming a hybrid, on multiple occasions, but he still managed to stand his ground.

Fighting Style: Rakutsu is trained in traditional and full contact karate. This is first developed by being training from his friend before further improving with Trunks. He is also experienced in Judo and grappling styles of fighting to further disable his opponents. His great speed allows him to create afterimages and vanish in blinding speeds.

He developed his Ki control with the help of Trunks. Rakutsu had the basic abilities of flight, sensing, suppression, and firing Ki blasts. Further training allowed him to learn image training, Kiai, and the creation of energy barriers.

Name: Cell MAX (Gamma)

Appearance:

This, with green spots.

Pronouns: He/They

Age: Fully matured and ready to fight evil.

Race Options: (Select One)
  • Earthling...?
Starting Power Level: Decerntly powerful, befitting a Hero such as himself. Perhaps ~750K, if a number must be assigned?

Bio: Despite the branding, Red Ribbon Pharmaceuticals suffered the exact same level of destruction the rest of society did at the Android's hands. In the chaos and destruction, their CEO, Magenta, fled into hiding, and disappeared for a decade. Meanwhile, Dr. Gero's grandson - Doctor Hedo - finds himself destitute and unable to complete his dream. Like so many others, Hedo was forced to hide away in fear, that sword of Damocles hanging over his head.

Then, a bare few years later, Magenta would reappear - right in front of Hedo's door. In his hands were blueprints, and in his mouth was bribery and a plan. This world needed a hero, right? Well, here was plans for an ultimate weapon from Hedo's grandfather, Doctor Gero! Of course, the blueprints had a main issue - most of the genetic material it demanded just... couldn't be gotten. But that's fine - substitutions could be made! A... lot of substitutions. Really, the hard part was getting all the genetic material from the countless variety of insects recommended by the blueprints.

It took so long. Scrounging up scraps, hunting down each species, keeping Magenta off his back... and it wasn't quite right. It wasn't the Gammas he truly wanted to make. But, honestly? This would be enough.

And so, Cell Max was decanted. The personality was as right as he could be - steadfast, strong, willing to wear the form of a monster just so long as he could work as a Hero of Justice! Inspirational! Strong! Good at posing! Sure, there were a few... quirks. Bizarre choices in fashion, despite normally not wearing clothing. A weird obsession with idols. But, well, even with the Androids having long since left, Cell Max could still debut.

A Hero in the shadows. Rejected for a monstrous appearance, sure, but still a hero. And, of course, he would eventually get noticed. One day, as Cell Max was saving a farming community from an overbearing group of wanna-be bandits, a boy with blue hair landed behind him.

An offer is made - one that would get Cell Max away from an increasingly more pushy Magenta.

And so, here they are.

Fighting Style:
Cell Max is the Child of Earth - the blood of all of its beasts flows in their veins. Of course, as you could tell by their appearance, the dominant part of their heritage falls from the insect part of Earth's wildlife. Even before their battle power is invoked, he has the comparative strength of an insect, scaled up to their human size. If this was all he had, perhaps he wouldn't be enough to be a hero - but he has a few others alongside.
  • MAX CHANGE - Cell MAX's main power! The form of any creature that is contained within him, he can assume at will! Of course, they would retain his signature red carapace, and it would only be a singular one of each species. None of these forms are stronger than his base form, of course - but each one can adapt his strength in different ways, as befitting each creature's abilities. His baseline form counts as his 'human' form, for purposes of this shapeshifting.
  • MAX TAIL - One of the main qualities Cell MAX retains from his base template is his tail. Just as sharp and pointy as intended, but modified to Hedo's tastes. While still able to serve as a sample tool to acquire the DNA of alien life and add them to their own frame, it cannot be used to devour them, as that isn't very heroic. It wouldn't be able to absorb the Androids, either.
  • MAX BARRIER - A special skill that shapes an iridescent barrier around Cell MAX, able to block attacks and damage!
  • MAX LASER - Instead of draining fluid with the tail, Cell MAX can also emit a powerful laser from it - either as a precision ranged attack, or as a shorter-ranged blade of power (homages from Trunks, in fact!). Cell MAX will even sometimes wrap their tail around their arm or leg, and then unleash a powerful finishing punch or flying kick!
  • MAX BEEEEEEEEEEEAM - Cell Max's strongest move - focusing all their energy into their forehead gem with their hands spread wide (like the Taiyo-Ken's pose), they unleash a massively powerful beam of energy, or a scattering burst of homing blasts!

Name: Kūsho

Gender: N/A (Presents Female)

Age: 37 (Perpetually Young Adult Biologically)

Race Options: Alien Species

Starting Power Level: 420,000

Bio: A lone loose planetoid fractured under a gravitational event, but naught was there but strange plant life clinging to the atmosphere-less planet's surface. The strange plant life, despite it's incredible adaptability began to die when separated from the light of their star. But a team of space fairer found the fragment of the planet and took a sample of the plant.

The sample changed and adapted with remarkable speed, growing and shifting to accommodate any situation provided it had the resources. The explorers were convinced that this prize would be invaluable to scientific discovery, and returned for more. But alas, they were too late, and the rest of the plants had gone dead in the dark of space. Still, the sample they had held great promise.

Years of study lead to scientific insights with the lifeform, and their people traded their scientific discoveries to the Cold Clan in exchange for being left alone. And for a time a stability was reached. But the life-form kept changing, and in time it set it's mutational power to the task of understanding these strange beings that fed it and studied it's nature. For this it mutated greater and greater intellect, and shifted it's body into something akin to it's rescuers. Bipedal, two arms, one head, light receptive organs (eyes), a respirator sack able to create vibrations in the air (lungs/throat/mouth), and more.

The Explorers found themselves suddenly not with a unique biological specimen, but a person curious and just now aware of their newly acquired sapience. They taught it, like it was one of their own children, and the young thing learned. Taking the name Kūsho it learned much from them, including their knowledge of Ki Arts. She enjoyed many peaceful years growing as a person, and slowly learning who and what she was. The fall of the Cold Clan's leader Frieza meant their people were left alone.

But then the Androids started their rampage, and the kind explorers feared for their safety. They would have to go into hiding to wait out this storm. But Kūsho felt that this path would only buy time. Direct action was needed. So it was that the strange evolving plant being left her friends and adoptive family in hope that her strength would be enough to lay low the threat to the people she cared for.

Personality-wise, Kūsho is socially awkward and doesn't understand a lot of things about other people, since such things don't come intuitively to her. She tends to occasionally be unintentionally harsh, being honest about things she likely should stay quiet about. She's still a kind hearted being with an outright naive sense of morality and right-and-wrong.

Loves new experiences and learning, growing and getting stronger, MEAT, and a warm bright summer day.

Fighting Style:

Self-Taught Martial Arts + Ki Manipulation: Kūsho has developed their own physical fighting style and Ki attack style. While a bit sloppy due to being assembled through rough trial and error, it had to be that way. The unique shifting nature of Kūsho's body means that any normal fighting style would not use her full potential. She shifts her body and moves in impossible ways to gain an edge against the more ridged and mono-formed humanoids, though her own humanoid form has become such a comfortable form she defaults to it and builds off that. This has resulted in an incredible amount of improvisation and on-the-fly shifts in technique. She is a master of adaptation.

Bizarre Biology: Kūsho's body is able to shift and warp via mental command, allowing her to grow extra limbs, shift her weight or form, grow a mouth where their should be none, and more. She can also survive in the vacuum of space indefinitely provided a star's light is nearby, though she will fair better and heal faster with real air and fresh food and water. This same biology allows her to recover from any injury, though not at Namekian speeds as matter that has been destroyed or lost takes time to regrow, therefor she has a preference of closing wounds and re-attaching limbs rather than just brute regrowing them.

Scorcher Beam: A solid beam of Ki that lasts a few seconds rather than immediately dispersing, Kūsho likes to fire it out and sweep the beam through an opponent's location. Can leave a scorching line on them, or even cut them in half if their defense is too weak.

Great Maw: Kūsho turns a limb into a large jaw with crushing bite potential, and uses it to crush down on a target.

Whip Blow: By allowing a limb to stretch out, Kūsho can punch or kick beyond normal physical range. It earns it's name when the limb stretches out and strikes like a whip.

Vortex Bomb: This Ki Attack creates a vacuum gravity pull towards it when fired, drawing people and objects to in before exploding. This makes dodging it hard, as it tugs you closer.

Void Insight: Not so much a power as a strange feeling for now. Kūsho, having looked into the empty void between the stars, having felt that same void on their unguarded body, feels like their is some greater insight to be had in meditating on the concept of Emptiness. Thus far, it is but a curiosity, but who knows what the future might bring.

... Earthling is just a catchall for "Human/Human adjacent" people, right?

I've got the inklings of an idea, a chance to re-use a design from a game that didn't end up panning out, but I'm not sure if cyborg is a viable character type here given how the final bosses are the Androids (Who aren't actually Androids at all, but that was a common mistake back in the day)

Would having magic be allowed in this? Kind of thinking a guy with a remote Stand thing that he has fight for him instead trying to fight himself with his weak arms with maybe some magic abilities supporting the punchy stand like barriers or trap runes.

Yeah thats what Earthling is for. If you want to run a Human, or one of those dog people/some other beastfolk type from classic Dragon Ball. As for cyborgs...well, thanks to 17 and 18 there's a stigma against them. Trunks could be convinced to let someone like that onto the team.

I'd say magic is allowed, though it'd likely fall under techniques.

Well, I'll do the write-up tomorrow, about to head to bed now. Here's the design though if you're curious, AI done of course, but it was one of the ones that came out pretty okay.
