I suggest that the first thing we do is dig underground and start making fortifications.

Do you understand what a glitch is? I really doubt Dex would only do a superficial aesthetic theme with glitch. Steampunk theme doesn't come off as the supreme power to rule the world. Glitch theme does.... why would a theme denote any feeling of invincibiltiy? It's not like either one is inherently better than the other, that's not how Dex's universes Work. Everything is roughly equivalent.
And how is a glitch theme generic? If anything, it's more unique than Steampunk.

Oh yeah, the song made me confused about the look. But what do you think of the pic as a look? If it is not cool enough I have a shitload of SCP fanart pics which look glitchy and weird.I'm not too keen on the lips either (Again, I was strapped for time) but, we dont have a TV head?
Okay, it's understandable...just hope there are no lips though, that's just dumb. But we'll see how that turns out next updoot. While I am a fan of the SCP foundation myself, I am also trying to be considerate for the ease of drawing and posing our creation in Flash. I'm not sure how well something too... abstract will function.
I still dig the spiky collar and crown, and I'm not sure how well attempting to change the look *after* the votelock will even work.
I'd say just let it lie. Dex will make it look awesome, and we can all bask in hard won artistic glory.
If ya'll want some glitchy art, I will recommend this subreddit filled with it.

Okay that isn't the type of glitching I was thinking of. A computer glitch looks much better as a style.
Dunno about Dex, but when I think of a glitch I think of the world not working right, not invincibility and supreme power. I'd describe that more as cheat codes.Do you understand what a glitch is? Ever heard of a reset glitch? Or helpful glitches? Skyrim had a potion glitch where you could amplify yourself to reach the highest level possible in little under a week in rl time. Glitches can serve as doors to unlimited power. Look at "Wreck it Ralph's" Vanellope, an utter horror to play against anyone who had her as a racing avatar.Dunno about Dex, but when I think of a glitch I think of the world not working right, not invincibility and supreme power. Why do you think Dex is gonna give us all the helpful glitches like resets and potions? We're less a video game glitch and more like a glitch in the matrix that makes everything wonky and weird. And Venellope isn't someone of unlimited power, she just teleports sometimes.Ever heard of a reset glitch? Or helpful glitches? Here's a thought: Why don't you know, hear me out, wait for Dex to do his thing before calling it OP bullshit?Vanellope teleports on command at the end.
And I doubt we are a mere aesthetic glitch, otherwise the whole world should become stuck on a blue screen of death from our mere pressence. Aesthetic bullshit op power.
Anything can serve as doors to unlimited power if you take it far enough. If we'd picked steampunk, do you think we'd have continent-sized battleships firing railguns powerful enough to shatter the moon?Ever heard of a reset glitch? Or helpful glitches? Because the alternative is the glitch theme is less glitch theme, and more boring octagons flying across the screen and called glitch theme. Here's a thought: Why don't you know, hear me out, wait for Dex to do his thing before calling it OP bullshit?

The thing is 'eventually', glitches are glitches immediately. Eventually steampunk might have had continent sized steambots firing railguns to use on nations, but that would have hopefully been because of a natural flow of events. Pick up resources, build army. Slow build. A glitch's nature, in my opinion, is a immediate effect to be fixed by overwriting it with loading screens. 'Game Over, you won through glitch', should be likely on a glitch theme within the first hour of activating a glitch theme.Anything can serve as doors to unlimited power if you take it far enough. Imagine if someone wrote a fantasy horror with all the classic parts, good wizard, dragons, a tree abomination, nature is dying. Then that someone advertised it as steampunk through a character wearing a monocle with water vapour rising out of a top hat. I don't want to gaze at a glitch in only name.
It sounds like you can't or are morally opposed to thinking of glitch-themed abilities or traits weaker or less controlled than invincibility and on-demand deletion. I'm not sure why that would be, but I don't think it's what anyone else meant or thinks of when they hear the word "glitch." I think most people take it to the be computerier equivalent of "mutant"- maybe good, maybe bad, but more strange and disconcerting than ultimate infinite power immediately and without cost. The thing is 'eventually', glitches are glitches immediately.
