[X] A black sword, said to have scarred the Sun.

If that's the case, I don't think I can pass up an opportunity to summon the Dragon General Yenyna.

The salt! The boats! The lessons questers refused to learn!

.....

The salt! It's all coming back, you have doomed us all! DOOM!!!
What were the most popular memes in that quest again was it about the players obsession with trees and farming(forgot when the boat meme started though) also did we accidentally wiped out a enemy city by using math then a asteroid came and wiped it out and then our neighbors shat their pants? Also what happened to the Highlanders(Highlander delenda est) did Ymarn annex them since its 1912 now? If not are they still living in a mideval tech and society?

What do the various magic associations feel about Metalight research chipping away at large portions of magecraft via the Rule of Mystery?

The two most important mage associations in the setting are the Clocktower, who are outraged, and the Ymaryn Royal Mage Corporation, who are paid loads of money to prove things are possible via magecraft so that the engineers can figure out how to do them mundanely.

Edit: Yes, this is unusual for an association of magus.

Also I just remembered, did princess Yenyna ascend the throne? If she did, is she still queen?

Also, the reason Ymaryn mages are loyal to the crown? The elective monarchy never fell. The Core territory of The People remained intact, so the Mages' Guild was still bound to it's oaths to the Crown. Thus, when Poetyr reformed the guilds into Crown Coporations, it happened to the Mages' guild too.

Thus, the Royal Mage Corporation.

Good thing Nokly veto'd selling all the crown corps. Otherwise they would have bought themselves out and become another clocktower. But as it is they are much more plugged into the mundane side of things.

This no choice at all. We are born of salt, shaped by salt, and will one day return to salt.
