Month 5
The Pax Caelum is only observed for the higher ranks of diety. The less important a divinity is, the less the other divinities are willing to enforce this. The primary reason for this is that higher divinities often use lesser divinities as catspaws in their endless schemes. They are able to take part in conflicts without the constant threat of escalation that their superiours would bring. This is theorized to be the source of several pantheons.

Treatise on the Pax Caelum

The flood has caused a slight scarcity in foodstuffs, leading to an increased amount of minor conflicts between the human tribe and the Wendigo. There are no actual deaths, but there are several injuries of varying levels of severity. This provides a very good opportunity to increase your political capital among the human tribes.

[] Study healing
After practicing on the injured humans, you gain quite a bit of skill in the healing arts. You can now heal minor injuries immediately, heal moderate injuries with effort over a period of a day, and speed the healing of severe wounds. This is quite good for your standing among the humans.

[] Learn to give blessings
You hit yet another stumbling block on your path to not being a really lame, weak god, when you fail to grasp the concept of blessing and or cursing people. You know you should be able to do it, but you spend so much time healing people from their scuffles with the Wendigo, you just don't have time.

[] Advance your stealth skills by spying on the Wendigo
For once, things go nearly perfectly. You skulk around near the Wendigo camp, and though it's difficult, you learn that they are planning a major necromantic ritual for the full moon. You are not a mage, so you're not sure what exactly it does, but it will be interesting. You

[] Heal the humans, posing as a priest of yourself
The battle ends in a technical win for the Wendigo, but it is rather Pyrrhic. The humans attacked the night before the full moon, and with your intelligence they were able to get very close to the camp before being spotted. However, the Wendigo were protecting their families, and each one fought with the strength of ten men. Though the humans were driven back with many dead, the Wendigo took many losses as well, and with your healing of the wounded humans, they are able to bounce back much faster. The Wendigo may be forced to move soon.

One thing you forgot to do, is to tell the humans what exactly you are the god of. So far, you've been avoiding the question, but you might want to do that if you want them to start worshiping you instead of their spirits.

God of inventiveness? Travel would make the possibility of becoming the patron of a sedentary, non-merchant people hard; thieves would relegate us to the dregs of society and a little part of population; survival would relegate us to tribal settings; contingencies seems a little too reactive.

A lesser God of spies/politics? I mean, there are probably some pretty strong deities already working in those areas, but that's all we know the character is good for at the moment, really.

Camaraderie, Loyalty, and Betrayal. I like that as something to be a god of. The bonds between people.
