Demon Quest

[X] Apparently you arrived outside of a city called 'Tokyo-3'. You wonder what happened to the first two. Probably a demon.

[X] These locals are a strange lot. How do you hide whole villages in leaves or stones?

Wanna avoid the setting where Giant Monsters that are Made of Souls happens until we get some power to us.

Stick with Naruto first, why don't we?

Which is the setting with Giant Monsters made of... well, chakra is half soul, right?

Most of those are sealed, and timeline wise we could potentially have Decades before the nastiest shit goes down.

Also, I just read our Char sheet. Love our Unique Perk. We are a failure as a Demon. Hilarious failure in only one respect, but a failure nonetheless.

Yeah, and NGE has plenty of miserable people we can make happy!

...My main reason for pushing NGE is because I like the Angels' designs better than the Bijuu.

Most humans we can corrupt in NGE would be less useful than the ones from Naruto though.

....Yeah, I guess. Sasuke would be pretty easy to get.

But we want souls, right? If we can get Rei, we can manipulate Third Impact to our advantage, and take every single soul on the planet.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. People have to willingly sign over their souls or it doesn't work. Being forced will invalidate the contract and coercion is something of a grey area.

As far as coercion goes directly holding a gun to their heads or the heads of their loved ones will not work. However "I can give you the power to save your family/significant other/nation" is more acceptable... even if you are the one who set things in motion to put their family/significant other/nation in jeopardy in the first place.

The bottom line is that they have to do it willingly and of their own volition. Otherwise the contract simply won't work.

We're giving them superpowers.

And we can do the same for the ninja too, superpowered magical ninja beats superpowered human that may or may not have abilities useful for combat.

You stayed and listened in to conversations all night long. Then you stayed and floated around the city for an entire week trying to learn as much as you could about this new dimension by listening to people talk. Apparently the 'city' you were in was a small settlement name Kiyoko on the border between two countries named 'Rain' and 'Fire'. Odd names but no skin off your nose. However the truly interesting things you learned had to do with the warriors who inhabited this dimension.

The so-called 'ninjas' of this world could apparently use magic to fight. The locals were thin on the details but they all seemed to agree the 'ninja' warriors could move at superhuman speeds, had superhuman strength and could command the very elements. You felt very fortunate to have landed in such a world. Not only could you find slaves who were already formidable in their own right but you yourself could also learn to use ninja-magic. FaMother was an even bigger fool than you thought to send you to a world where you could increase your power to such a degree right off the bat. The dimension ruled by your sire shall definitely be yours one day!

According to the locals a war between nations was just winding down with Fire country and the so-called 'Village Hidden in the Leaves' emerging as the undisputed victors. You were quite displeased to hear that. A large scale war would have made your corrupting influence all the more effective. Well, no matter. From the sound of things with a little work you could whip up another war if you felt such a thing was necessary.

Speaking of your corrupting influence after just a week in Kiyoko you could already see the effects of your Demonic Miasma taking effect. There were many more bar fights, people began looking at each other with suspicion on the streets and someone had just been murdered in their home the night before which you overheard was a rare thing in this village. You were briefly tempted to remain and spread your influence further before dismissing the idea. No need to waste time with ordinary mortals when there was ninja magic to learn and ninja warriors to corrupt.

That only left what to do next. If you wanted to build yourself a body capable of ninja magic you needed to find ninja to study first. Where do you go?

[X] You heard that 'Konoha' has the strongest ninja. The Yellow Flash who is credited with largely ending the war, the supposedly legendary 'Three Ninjas' and a man known as 'The God of Ninja'. It seemed like the best place to acquire powerful servants.

[X] 'Ame' on the other hand was in the middle of a prolonged civil war. This could lead to you finding a lot of desperate ninja to influence. 'Hanzo the Salamander' was also supposedly one of the strongest ninja around. Perhaps he or his opponents would be desperate enough to make an ill-advised deal?

[X] 'Mist' is supposedly well known for their brutal and amoral ninja. Those are your kinds of people. It was also in a country infamous for it's poverty, paranoia and isolationism. You smell both difficulties and opportunity.

Demonic Miasma is probably going to irritating long term unless its suppressible.

I want the rinnegan but I also want the Kaguya Clan and all the other bloodlines that are about to go extinct in that place.

Nagato's Rinnegan can consume souls, last I checked. Being in that area would get Tobi's attention too, I'd rather we get some slaves and build up some power before we try going for the big fish.
