Shadow Magic has little to do with Death Knights. They mostly wield Death magic, with a slice of Frost magic channeled through their runeblades.
Incidentally, I'm thinking about going for a benevolent necromancer.

When talking about the magic you want to go into always keep this chart in mind

Something to also keep in mind is that the chart was made with aesthetics in mind. While there is a duality for Shadow and Light, it's not the case for the others. Nature and Necromancy doesn't have a special relationship, nor does Fel and Arcane.
Similarly, spirit and decay should have been separate from the other four elements, in that they're less tangible and more abstract than the others.

You should be able to get that fixed by contacting the staff.
Under the Staff Communication there's an Ask a Private Question subforum. Post there and they could be able both unspam your mail and change the one connected to your account.
