You decide to keep heading to the safehouse which is the most rational decision, now is not the time to mistrust the only vampires you've ever known. The presence faded away and left you gliding along alone in silence. You haven't had much time to think about who this Maya Ross woman could be or what the "Abyss" part of the Cult of the Abyss meant but you have found yourself caught up in a world that you cannot decipher alone. Perhaps you will find answers and somewhere to call home with vampires, something you never was able to find while living. You come upon Eckhardt Street and remember Rosko telling you to turn right and then left at an old blue Victorian house at the corner.

At the blue Victorian you do as you were told and go left onto West Jansen Street: execute event roll, two possibilities, the safehouse can be intact and after knocking on the door you are welcomed in (below 25) or the safehouse is smoldering after having burned to the ground by unknown assailants (above 25) (rolling 50 sided die, result = 36)

You approach the smoldering remains of what used to be 568 West Jansen Street, it's parameter taped off by the police. There's only a single squad car outside and the cops inside are napping. You realize that the whispers from the presence was a warning, "enemies, fire, go", it was telling you that whatever enemies there might be had burned down the safehouse and it wanted you to follow directions to the new location. You're stunned at what has happened tonight, you look at the night around you and using enhanced senses can tell that the sun will rise sometime in the next three hours.

Or maybe the presence wasn't an ally and had burned down the safehouse and wanted you to fall into it's trap? Whatever the case might be, you have two options, you can try and get to wherever those whispers wanted you to go which would take another hour or try and find somewhere dark and safe to sleep for the day. Remember, no matter what you choose, you will need to feed when you awaken.
