Haha, well this seems interesting although I have to say that the denial & pretending they're just copycats is going to be really tiresome really fast.
 
I'm happy to see a sequel, and kind of sad that it doesn't seem to be about Taylor and Dinah's road trip at the end of Accelerator. I just hope she left Dinah in a save spot.

Underlined had is redundant with the other 'had' in the sentence. Not sure which you want to remove though.

Glad to see this is a thing. Even if you're not enthusiastic Acceleration was one of the first worm fanfics a lot of us read (myself included) so we do look back on it fondly.

Not sure if serious or not but this is a sequel to the worm fic, you were quoted in, Acceleration. And you accidentally predicted the premise -- four years before it happened.

I was thinking about that too. Then again, seeing as this is set at the start of canon Worm it's not like time is moving at the same pace, and Taylor's supposed to be older anyway, so Dinah could be either not experiencing time, chilling on a remote island surrounded by Lisa, Lily and a couple hundred professional soldiers, or anything else.

It's this universes Dinah that still needs saving.

It's this universes Coil that still needs flattening.
 
Liked Acceleration, following this with extreme interest. Taylor there wouldn't accept hostile labels/definitions any more than she would hostile objects/powers. Quite interested to see where you choose to go this time.
 
Was Acceleration a fic where Danny died and then Taylor squished the Nine? If it's really been four years I can understand why I wouldn't remember much.

Taylor was in the process of squishing the Nine amid them mindfucking her. Danny was Bonesaw'd into a Picasso. Taylor mercy-killed him, then annihilated Bonesaw, Jack, Hatchet-Face and finally Siberian(with help)

Also about one of the first Alt-Taylor fics in the fanon where Taylor faced Leviathan and flung it away like a 10000 yard football kick.
 
I think the pressing question here is: Where is this timeline/dimension's Taylor? Accelerator!Taylor appearing on a rooftop right near where the ABB gathered is suspect, but if she bodyjacked the other Taylor I imagine she would not have recognized the wallet.

That's a good question.

I can confirm that Accelerator has not replaced canon Taylor, assuming this is canon. (which, ok, let's be real. It just got derailed hard so can you even call it canon any more? :p). Places you will not see canon? Taylor: Accelerationverse(hahaha that would be all kinds of awful for her) or Firebirdverse.

Beyond that? Who knows~!
 
Did this Taylor ever find out Shadow Stalker's alter ego? My memory's a bit fuzzy? Did she just up and disappear?

Taylor fucked off from Winslow and did not encounter Shadow Stalker, as far as I can recall. She did run into her in an omake for Crisis, but that's the only time I can recall. There was the encounter at the mall where Dinah mocked Emma and Emma slapped herself courtesy of Taylor's powers but Shadow Stalker got told to fuck right off by her protective detail when she tried her shit.
 
This Taylor had some visions/halucinations of Shadow Stalker being Hess while in the locker (S9 Edition), but aside from that, no.

Yeah that sounds right. Now with that refresher I guess I better go to page 1 and read the sequel.
 
How did I not know you wrote a sequel? Watched, even if only to see how you evolved as a writer since Acceleration.

Oh my god, all of my yes.

I was scrolling through user fiction and the title jumped out at me. There was a second of fond remembrance, then I saw the poster. Dared to hope.

I am buckled in and my tray table is in the upright and locked position.

All these people expressing their unlimited nostalgia and here I am just having read Acceleration like 2 months ago.

Either way, super glad this is a thing. The ending of that story irked me unusually so glad to see a revamp!
