Thanks for posting the link. I saw that video and thought that would be something Deadpool would do.

Wait...did the Omnitrix just appear on his chest! Is that how he's changing?

Also, Deadpoor is as Meta as ever, and a connoisseur of the classics as well...

Close but not exactly, your on the right track.

Did what I can do to make him as meta as he is in the comics and game without breaking the story too much, I hope I did him justice.

I legit have no idea what's happening.

Long story short, they were having a nice talk about pop culture. Then they were attacked by a dragon.

Deadpool varies a lot throughout the comics. He can be goofy and fun or a seriously broken man. Really, he runs the entire spectrum. There is one really depressing series where, after the whole Hydra!Captain America debacle, everyone is hunting Deadpool. He obeyed fake Captain because, as he said, he was too broken to trust his own morals. So he did what Captain America asked because he trusted Cap. No one seems to care or show any sympathy, there is basically no fourth-wall-breaking, and the ending is really unsatisfying. But there are also a ton where he is the happy-go-lucky, fourth-wall-breaking, jokester of an antihero that we all know and love.

So yeah, any portrayal you decide on will have at least one comic that matches. I figure that Tobi telling Deadpool that he was a hero in his world's comics is just the reassurance that Deadpool needed to be the good guy.

I'm trying to go with a blend of meta and him being humane at times. Thanks for telling me about this because I think I can use this in how I can write him in the story. As a form of thanks let me give you a spoiler as to what to expect of how Deadpool will fight in the future.

I'm taking a lot of inspiration from Mista and Jojo in general.

Edit: Yeah, Tobi's words that he is a hero had a large impact on him. And in the next chapter, there will be more reasons for him to stay one.

[Roy] Ch 001.4 - Maps and Heroes
[Roy] Ch 001.4 - Maps and Heroes

The other X-Men according to her already had a few basic defenses. Anything more were things they worked on themselves she said as Jean accessed Jessica's mind. In the meanwhile, Roy took the time to put names to faces which an animated Kitty, who was the fastest to recover from the bombshell, helped as she chatted about pretty much everything.

She looked like she was starved for social interactions, she mentioned as much in her stories of how Iceman annoyed her and Nightcrawler smelled constantly like brimstone, Psylocke the ninja terrified her not because she was an assassin but she seemed like a cold person and how Ceccilia who was studying to become a doctor so she was too busy to spend time with her.

"How long have you been here?"

"A week."

Roy tried to keep his face from flatlining, "Maybe give it some time."

"Yeah…" He briefly wondered if this was a group issue where she was trying to find friends who shared her interests or talked to her, he didn't know but it seemed her standards weren't very high as she looked like she could carry a conversation for three the way she went on.

He took the time to take in the appearances of the X-Men. Staring at people wasn't very nice but it was hard not to when they looked remarkably like people doing very good but practical cosplays of themselves, in some cases though it felt a little too bland and mundane he might've not given the people here a second look to people like Kitty, Jean Grey and the forcefield generator chick with the dreadlocks.

They were pretty normally dressed and seemed pretty much the average group of girls excluding them being pretty of course, this was the comic book universe after all. Naturally people like Transonic, which was a ridiculous codename, Beast and Nightcrawler all of whom had blue skin were the outliers and Iceman. It was strange to see moving ice with pants, he looked like Frosty the Snowman had a humanoid shape and was made from ice.

Nightcrawler teleported into existence with a cloud of purple, the smell of brimstone, 'Wow that's a strong smell,' Roy thought.

"Are you a new mutant?" Nightcrawler asked him with an excited look on his face.

"A passing superhero." He didn't really know what else required to be one either than a code name, costume and crazy powers.

Kitty responded, "Even if he isn't, he's got the coolest power!"

Roy blinked, "Hold on, that might be pushing it-"

Iceman had his palms out in front of him as he made a rollercoaster of ice and slid in front of them, sliding to a stop in front of us, "I heard someone call my name? 'The-best-mutant-ever', it's a long middle name I know."

Kitty rolled her eyes, "Yeah if you want snow cones."

Iceman gasped, "Please, I make the best snow cones."

"How bout mango flavoured?" The dragon winged teen asked. He had been trying to figure out how to shapeshift his wings back into himself but wasn't making any headway.

"If you got em. Who are you though?"

"You can call me," probably best not to go with his real name for the moment, "Cyborg? It's still a work in progress..."

Jean stood up having finished with Jessica, "There that should work."

"What about me?" Roy asked.

Jean looked at him, "Are you a psychic?"

"No… I think." The young man really wasn't sure if that was a part of his abilities, considering he had woken up with nanites or some kind of machine ability. Being psychic wasn't too much of an impossibility.

"I can't access your mind, you don't seem to exist at all."

Roy didn't know how to respond to the unexpected answer, "...That's probably not a good thing if the guy uses pheromones for his control."

Kitty tilted her head, "Who are you talking about?"

Iceman waved his hand, "Before all of that, why are you here? What's going on?"

Jean Grey took a breath and explained…

"...Which is why I was helping young Jessica here."

"Hey, you're not that older me!" Jessica said, as she was being treated as if she were a child.

"I'm 26."

"...Oh, you look very young." She responded unconsciously.

"Thank you." Accepting the unintended compliment.

Iceman said, "Okay that's nice and all, but how do we know he's telling the truth."

"Never met you before in my life but I'm guessing your name is likely Bobby," Roy was a little hesitant in case it turned out his name was actually Alexander the Fifth, with alternate dimensions you were never quite sure, "and I know a lot of other random information, concerning certain people. Assuming of course they exist in this dimension."

"No it's John."

"Bull."

He grinned, "Guilty. So you're saying is, you know the future?"

"Uh, kind of. Yes."

"Hmm." It seemed to satisfy him somewhat, "So who do I get with in the future?" His expression, one of curiosity.

'Of all the things…' Roy deadpanned.

Nightcrawler and Kitty seemed to be interested too as fellow teens, gossiping seemed to be a pass time no matter where. Roy was a little annoyed at the question and pulled a fast one, "So you're aware of who Magneto is, right?" Playing up the association.

"No…" His eyes started to widen.

The Machine teen grinned, "He had a kid."

"No. Stop. La la la not listening," He put his palms over his ears.

Roy whispered the last part through his hands and his shoulders slumped, "You suck."

"Don't ask me stupid questions."

"It's a legitimate one!" Defending his choice.

The others laughed, Nightcrawler pointed at himself excited, "Who do I get with?"

Kitty pushed him out of the way, "No way! I'm going first."

"Guys there are too many alternates, Nightcrawler I never saw you with- wait I think it was Storm or Cyclop and Jean's Daughter," Roy struggled not to laugh at his horrified expression, he hadn't mentioned Jean's Daughter was around her mom's age and from the future. Time Travel was a staple of the X-Men but it looked like they hadn't come across it yet so this prime opportunity to troll them. He hadn't even planned to do this. Roy swore it was true. It was.

Kitty stepped away, and Nightcrawler blustered, "Wait there has to be some sort of mistake."

Kitty turned away, "I don't know you." Nightcrawler turned to Jean Grey's now blank expression, "I- d- Mrs-"

"Yes. I'm sure there is a good explanation for this. Though it does strike me that your combat scores were a little low, I think we can add in a few more classes. With Wolverine." Her eyes gleamed. The others could see she wasn't serious but Nightcrawler was starting to look like he was going to cry.

"Okay Okay, I'm messing around." Roy then explained, "She's actually a time traveler around the same age her mom and you were. The situation was weird." He shrugged.

"You could've explained this before Mrs. Grey was thinking I would look good as a blue leather coat."

"You're not a cow."

"Same 'ting! She'll skin me the same!" His German accent acted up under distress.

Roy rolled his eyes, and turned to Kitty's nervous face, "M-maybe I don't need to know." She stuttered, "I mean, there are other things like uh-"

"And Kitty… became a teacher, I think. Not sure, I only remembered Iceman's because it was weird," He paused, "And Nightcrawler's because it's also weird. I didn't read many of you." She sighed in relief.

"You guys suck," and he teleported with a Bampf effect away from us.

Jean had a small smile on her face, before she crossed into the serious. It looked like Beast and Psylocke had tended to all the wounded, and she had finally come up with a plan of sorts.

Jean asked, "Was there ever any point this had happened to us?" Referring to the X-Men mutating into giant monsters.

"Hmm not that I can recall, granted there is about nearly 50 years worth of story so it might've happened and I hadn't read it."

She was a little disgruntled but thanked him for the information. She put two fingers to her temple and spoke both telepathically and aloud, "I'm leaving Beast in charge, Bobby and Psylocke, you're with me."

"Got it."

"Wait hold on, are you sure you can't access my mind?"

Jean stopped turning to him with a strange expression, "Yes, sorry I seem dismissive but I can't find you in the slightest. It's almost as if you don't exist on the psychic plane."

Roy hadn't expected a situation quite like this, in a way it was good because he was immune to psychics, but it would be a different matter if Kilgrave really did use Pheromones for his control. It was really worrying him when it hit him, gas masks. "Ah, thanks, for your help."

She stepped to the mansion, "We need to," remembering the Blackbird was destroyed and switched tracks a second time, "Transonic is down…" She headed for the X-Mansion intent on finding her X-Men.

"I'll come with; it would help you if you had another flier on your team." It wasn't as if he had anything else on his agenda beyond finding his origins. He didn't know where to start with that, waking up on a random rooftop that didn't elicit any kind of familiarity didn't help. In that sense the next place to start looking would eventually come to him, in the meantime he could help himself by helping others.

"I'll come too." Jessica caught up, a little conflicted wondering how school was going to work out, but this seemed like the hero thing to do and couldn't back down.

Jean nodded, "Any help is appreciated."

"Before we go I just realized, do you guys have anything that might tie down the, uh-" Roy was embarrassed for having shouted the name out unconsciously during battle, he hadn't even noticed but at this point he had already said it, "Plantmon." He shifted his eyes away from the other's grins, and muttered, "I didn't know her name damn it." He shook his head, "If not I'll have to stay behind."

They had been making their over to the mansion when a tall muscular Mexican fellow with a handle mustache that miniature biker could use for his motorcycle walked out, alongside a tall winged caucasian in a business suit, "Ah yes, sorry about the calibration they took a while we can- What in the world happened here!?"

Jean put a finger to her temple since she was not in the mood to explain anything and let her memories do the talking. The older man flinched, "Ah, we missed the party."

"Yes. We're going after the mutated X-Men. We've got Lillian here but we don't know where the others are, I'm going to see if the Cerebro shows anything. Do you have anything to cage Lillian Isley?"

He stroked his chin, "Perhaps. I'll see what I can do with the Danger Room if Cypher can't help me repurpose it for holding them. I'll make some extra for the others when we find them until we can figure out what ails them."

Roy leaned over to Kitty, "And he is…"

She was silent for a moment, "Forge, he's our tech guy. He keeps insisting he's not a genius. All lies, I've seen him make spaceships."

An exasperated voice came from the very man, "It's not a spaceship young lady, its highly sophisticated-"

"It had blinking lights, and it hovered on water."

"A hovercraft is not-"

"It was also a transformer." He gave up. She nudged Roy with a smile, he realized he was surrounded by trolls. He might have to watch his step from now on.

Forge walked back into the X-Mansion muttering about schematics Roy had somehow instinctively understood to be hydraulics, the winged man held out his hand, "Nice to meet you my name's Angel you can call me Warren."

"Same, Name's… well name is still pending but Cyborg or Raiden is in the works," Still unsure of what to call himself. While there wasn't any problem with secret identities among the X-Men, Roy liked to be cautious, which is why he still had his faceplate on, "Why were you guys inside?" Shaking the hand.

"Over seeing the Danger Room the new mutants were testing it for us as we tested them."

They followed after Jean, who was headed for Cerebro, pulled ahead as they talked with Forge, Roy asked, "Who are the new mutants?"

He looked in the distance, "There were a few incidents and we've lost some people to Hate, but somehow in the dark new mutants have come to us. A rock boy," Kitty snickered for some reason, "The healing kid I think he called himself Elixir and Cypher. He's been a great help with programming the Room. It's been acting up lately."

We were led past the room where the X-Men that had been hurt were brought. There was a sleepy eyed golden skinned teenager who looked about ready to collapse as he passed his hands over the wounds and bruises of the people here. Roy hadn't helped as he had been taking care of Lillian Isley alongside the other X-Men who were still able to fight.

He might've seen Nightcrawler teleporting in and out of the field tiredly cradling the fallen members. The very elf eared X-Men he was talking about was passed out in a free bed tired from the teleporting.

Jessica said as she watched the golden glow of the healer, "His power is amazing."

Kitty snorted, "He's annoying though, and egotistical." We looked at Forge who was already down the hallway and made to quickly catch up.

The Mansion is almost ridiculous in its size, likely with the help of the superpowered and having loads of money from being a genius. It hit Roy that he hadn't asked about the main man himself, "Where is Xavier? I thought he would be here."

Forge stopped as Kitty looked to the side, "He's… in a coma."

[Roy] Ch 001.5 - Snapped Threads
[Roy] Ch 001.5 - Snapped Threads

Forge's room was more akin to a high tech blacksmith melded atop of someone's disorganized science lab. The insides of different technical devices were gutted, wires and circuit boards scattered around them. The walls were even incorporated into his lab housing different sections of things. Roy had been in both woodcrafting, and metalworking rooms before, this was some odd combination of the two as parts of the room were smooth wood.

Jessica asked, "Who is Xavier?"

Roy considered for a moment if he had been in an alternate universe where Xavier was evil he would've been screwed. Essentially dooming himself and Jessica, but that likely wasn't the case.

Forge said, "Professor X is the principal of the school, with several PhDs in Genetics, Biophysics, Psychology, Anthropology and Psychiatry at Oxford University and Columbia University, he's also the school's founder. He's led us to be better because he believes we can co-exist alongside the humans."

Roy said, "Wow you memorized that?" He remembered the professor was called the 'Professor' for a reason but the number of PhDs were a little ridiculous.

Forge shrugged, "We learned from him, it would be odd to not know the names of the classes we were in."

"Do you guys have PhDs too?"

"Not a single one, Hank is the one who's like the Professor's holding 6."

Roy whistled at the number.

"Aren't you guys humans too?" Jessica asked curiously, she had heard a lot about the mutants but never actual information just general hate mongering. It was strange on some level that she was standing here right now talking to them normally, she wondered if she ever would've talked to one if Roy hadn't passed by.

Kitty understood the question for what it was and nothing offensive, she tried to figure out how to put it, "We are… but our powers are from mutations and a lot of people can't accept that, they call us freaks of nature."

Kitty reminisced sadly, "Some Mutants… don't make it." Kitty tried to avoid thinking about the faces of those who had been a part of their team and everyone who had tombstones in the back of the Mansion. Even if this place was one of the safest places for a mutant, they were heroes to an extent and things never went right for those types of people. Jessica put a hand on her shoulder, "Thanks."

Roy sympathized with Kitty but he couldn't really do anything, he'd never… he blinked. He was sure he'd never felt anyone die that was close to him… 'Why did that feel wrong?'

Shaking it off he turned to Forge with the question he was dying to know, "How did he go into a coma?"

"We're not entirely sure but we believe it was due to the psychic backlash from the continental tremors of the Event."

"The what?" Roy was put on the backfoot for, whatever number time it was now, he had come to terms that perhaps his meta knowledge was going to be close to useless the entire time he was here. He lamented that he should've been more of a Comic nerd than a movie one. Stupid companies and their damned movie rights.

Jessica turned to him confused, "How do you not know about it?"

Kitty said, "It's what everyone is talking about. There were a bunch of explosions on the west coast of the US, but we could hear them too and then the ground shook. Everything was falling over. I thought I was going to die even with my phasing. There was a sudden blanket of clouds covering the sky from horizon to horizon, people were going ballistic online, but it only lasted a few hours. But even then people thought the world was ending right then and there."

Forge nodded, "Most of North America and South America were affected, parts of Europe, Africa and Japan were as well but the rest were left untouched. It was unnatural." Forge had built two large machines in the conversation they had, taking inventions that had failed and putting them together in a way that would achieve his goal, "The Professor put his head to his temple and knocked out Jean and Psylocke. After that he screamed. He's been in a coma since, and we don't know when he'll wake up." His eyes were filled with sadness.

Roy had heard of how Xavier had taken many of the mutants in, but it looked like he was a lot like family to them.

"The Professor will be fine, all of you are worrying too much." Kitty said, but she didn't seem to believe it herself and Forge didn't correct her.

He didn't say anything for it either simply tempered a piece of steel using a welding torch. There were floating arms around his workstation each with a different tool, it looked like a spider with stilt-like legs with its body attached to the ceiling.

Jean came rushing in moments later, "There are two mutants and another nearby, I felt their distress through their minds! They need our help!"

Jessica stood up, "Where?"

Kitty said, "I think I know," and she held up her high tech phone, Roy noted it was honestly leagues ahead of where Roy had remembered phones were supposed to be in 2012, chalking it up to Forge, Fantastic Four or Iron Man.

On her phone were three individuals, two of which he recognized and a third that he vaguely remembered to be the mutant Spike, only he wasn't Storm's ethnicity and asian for some reason and he didn't remember him as an armoured berserker.

They were fighting the mutated Wolverine.

---

Spider-Man shot his web towards the buildings with familiar 'thwips' they were accompanied by another pair. The chemical concoction bonded to the wall with industrial strength and stretched catching the falling debris. Likely would've crushed the group of screaming fat New Yorkers who hadn't gotten out of the way fast enough.

"Cardio does wonders folks." They shouted at him calling him all familiar names he'd heard from J Jonah Jameson. He muttered, "You'd think gratitude was in short supply around here." Before he swung off looking for the creature that had caused the trail of destruction he had been following.

A feminine voice buzzed in his ear, "What I want is there to be a shorter supply of these giant monsters. Was New York always this crazy?"

There was a rock monster in the middle of the streets roaring about food and wanting dragons for breakfast as it waved around a small metal stick. In comparison to the Golem it was small but in reality the thing was likely a lamppost. Garbage, paper and cloudy winds swirled around the lamppost like it was holding a tiny wand.

"No. Not always." Sometimes the crazies wore robes and wizard hats.

This really wasn't how he thought the day would go.

Peter had woken up bright eyed and bushy tailed, metaphorically speaking in case there were mutant squirrels running around he'd already tangled with the giant pigeons to think otherwise, thinking today was finally going to be a day of relaxation. Or close as he would get with his superhero lifestyle crashing his normal everyday life.

It was anything but, there was a mass flash of light covering the skies blinding everything from the West, some people thought it was the Armageddon where the sun would rise from the west, instead clouds of darkness blocked out the sun for a few hours. Then the city filled with roars, and screams.

He'd suited up and jumped outside another set of webs joining him in his endeavours. A masked spider cloaked in black, white and blue highlighted hi-tops, she waved casually, swinging through moves that would make Olympic gymnasts burn with envy.

Having been Spider-Man for a few months, the scenario was something he never thought to see coming. Always considering the population of Spider-Ville to be that of one. Never two.

Venom didn't count.

Gwen Stacy, the woman he loved, had gotten bit by the same spider he had a few weeks ago.

Naturally he freaked. It ranged from his identity being discovered to Gwen being in danger to a million assortment of insane concoctions his brain tortured him with. While he was making sure she hadn't caught cancer, become the female Hulk or gotten spider-cancer, Gwen had been taken over by Venom and learned about his alter ego. The number of things that would be considered terrible, none of them ranked as bad as that, he didn't think he was ready to face off against someone else he was close to, again.

In a twist of events, she didn't hate his guts, try to kill him or blame him for his failures… like Eddie had.

There was a warm feeling in his heart when he reminisced how she had managed to stall it. A long heartfelt confession in the church, the very place he had gotten rid of the Venom suit, where they overcame and defeated it together. Instead of getting rid of it for a second time Gwen somehow convinced him to listen and see it from Suit's perspective. That was an eye-opening experience, and they ended up sharing the suit. He was a little reluctant, but the two made it work.

Though he did still freak out when she pulled the 'Venom Voice' on him. They grew closer together, he made her web shooters since Venom webs burned through Venom's energy sources fast and the two were now swinging together.

'Did this make them married? It should qualify, right?' It did make him wonder if that meant the suit was their engagement ring. They did bond with the symbiote in the 'House of God' after all.

Landing with a thump on the back of the lumbering Golem, just as the streets started to rumble, "Whoa!"

The ground swallowed the sides of the building pulling it in, Spider-Man thwiped around to save the screaming families. The golem roared pointing the metal wand at the hole. The hole widened until a large claw popped out, and then another, and another.

Gwen shouted, "Oh heck no!"

"Language."

"Pet-Spider-Man!" She protested, landing on the ground and planting herself. She shot a web towards the wand pulling it off course pointing it at the sky.

"Mrs Spider-Man," He teased before catching a kid from the crumbling building and webbed a net for them to fall into.

The Golem roared struggling against her spider-strength. She wasn't as strong as Peter but having the strength of a scaled spider was nothing to scoff at, she had thought spider powers were useless until she lifted and tossed a junkyard car.

A massive snout the size of a small house poked through the hole in the ground attached to a massive dragon it was trying to fit through and its claws were gouging the sides of the holes without much progress. Gwen thought, 'Alright maybe spider powers might not be enough.'

Having saved everyone Spider swung back in, "Nope!" As Spider-Man drop kicked the giant scaly lizard's snout, roaring in pain shot an explosion of air as if a hurricane was born, sending him straight into the sky.

"Whoa!"

"Spider-Man!"

Spider-Man went flipping up to the sky his incredible sense of balance gave him an awareness of where everything was and exactly how high up he was going without being able to see properly. Once he reached the peak of the he saw he was hundreds of meters in the sky and about to become pastrami below. The view from that high up he saw jumbotrons and electronic billboards switching between different things finally landing on three individuals.

The scaly lizard had slinked back to where it came from but the hole hadn't disappeared. It looked like the snout had been a plug because water started to gush forth shooting tens of meters into the air, drenching the alleyway in saltwater from the intense smell.

Gwen realized this wasn't normal, they were in the middle of the city and there was a sudden geyser originating from the sea.

Exotic sea creatures shot out of it, slamming into the brick walls and dry concrete without air they flopped on the ground like fish did on dry land.

One fish smacked Gwen in the face to lose concentration for a moment letting go of the metal 'wand'. The Golem roared now loose of his adversary stuck into the middle of the geyser. The swirled debris that had been swirling around the metal lamppost fell to the ground, the strange effect now caused the water to whirl around in a water twister.

"What is even happening anymore," She muttered under her breath.

---

All over the continent people tuned into social media, their tv screens and whatever device was hooked up to the internet as they all played the exact same thing, almost as if everything on earth with an electronic screen had been hacked. Some people considered the Anonymous Group of Hackers were back, others like the sections of SHIELD that weren't dealing with the fallout of what was displayed to the nation or dealing with the mutated monsters considered it an attack by other nations or a new order like Hydra. None of this was not the case.

They watched as every few minutes the channels switched between animal documentaries, cartoons, to live reports of the Middle East where the US army created foreign terrorist cells and other war crimes, undeniable internment camps of China of the Uyghurs, and other atrocities by major superpowers, Mafia and Yakuza dealings that bust many operations rings.

The oddest section of the video reel settled on three individuals. Their names learned through the screen Tobi, Wade Wilson and Laura.

Tobi tortured before he mutated and escaped his prison with another red suited experimentee. They watched with shock as it became clear the facility they were housed in was an American and Canadian joint venture, an experimentation center for bio-weapons. The cycled camera angles where scenes and snippets of conversations told them about the atrocities being committed. They learned, through a series of censors as parts of what Tobi said were skipped, in total the viewers understood the three were the few experimented mutants that survived. It threw the growing united hatred of the countries' of the mutants into disarray.

The scene finally stopped jumping around and Tobi talked.

And the Nations listened.

And they learned.

(Tobi) Chapter 5: Savagery on display
(Tobi) Chapter 5: Savagery on display

In the first second Tobi lost his lower Torso as the dragon bit into it, but as the monster jaw clamped down. Tobi's helmed face grew a fanged mouth and bit into it's left cheek tearing a chunk out. Instantly the dragon's power filled him, cells evolved rapidly adapting to the threat before him.

Green electricity sparked to life in his left hand, Tobi then bitch slapped the dragon. The electricity stunned it briefly, allowing Tobi to pull his lower half out. As the two halves reattached themselves, the dragon retalisted firing human sized spikes impaling him. Then the dragon flew in to finish off, it's mind still confused why it considered this weakling a theart. Only for it's instincts screamed for it to defend itself.

Wings grew spikes and started to wrap around its body, brand new spikes formed to skewer any form of retaliation from the weak human. As the wings fully covered the dragon, it caught a glimpse of the spikes shrinking into Tobi's body.

The next moment a black clawed gauntlet tore into its wings, the claws on the back of the gauntlet rendered it's flesh when Tobi pulled it back. He had gained a new set of armour. Transforming into a humanoid version of the Elder dragon, wings grew from his back and two fought.

Savage was the best term to describe two tearing into each other, clawing and biting one another. Their blood and flesh fell down to the earth, any wound no matter how grievous healed rapidly. While the dragon was clearly superior and dominating the short fight, Tobi was growing stronger with each exchange. Ramming it's horn into Tobi's chest puncturing it, Nergigante delivered a fatal wound, but it was not enough to kill its opponent. A large jawed mouth formed from Tobi's chest and snapped shut.

Spinning the dragon's tail slammed into a healing Tobi, his hands grabbed the appendage. Even when the spikes on the limb stabbed through his hand, he refused to let go and bit it.

The battle was soon interrupted as a missile was fired slamming into a roaring elder dragon's face. The force of the explosion sent it flying, giving Tobi an opportunity to tear the tail off and devour it.

The smoke from the explosion was blown away from the enraged dragon's roar. A new tail was already forming as it glared up, ignoring Tobi in favor of seeing it's new attacker.

"WOO HOO!!!!"

With a gleeful shout, Wade Wilson rode down on a large warhead missile. A cowboy hat in one hand he waved it happily while another held a smoking bazooka.

"YEAHHHHH!!!"

Throwing away the smoking weapon, the mad man pulled out a large sparking rail gun and fired it at the lunging dragon. The bullet struck the dragon sending it tumbling towards the earth. However, The sheer force of the shot nearly ripped him in half sending him off the warhead. Flying into Tobi. Ignoring the pain, Wade latched onto his berserker friend and fired a high tech magnetic grappling hook above them.

The aircraft came by, piloted by Laura caught the hook. The sheer speed of the aircraft would have ripped off Wade's hand if he had not shoveled the grappling gun into Tobi's mouth when he tried to bite him.

With the warhead falling on the downed dragon the fight and the fact that they were escaping should have been an indicator that the battle was over. But the alien influence driving Tobi to fight would not have it. It wanted him to fight more, to be pushed in the worst case scenario and evolve or die.

"Stay still Berserker!" The berserking Tobi thrashed about, the thorns growing from his form cutting into the mercenary but Wade refused to let go through sheer force of will. "Don't have an midget albino murder child to control you yet so calm the fuck down!"

It was then the bomb smacked into the Dragon, a large explosion erupted mid air. The heat and shrapnel from the blast struck the two but the cable held firm as the shaking aircraft escaped the blast range. The mountain under them was set ablaze, despite there being little vegetation to catch fire.

"Ah that's a nice flame shame I don't have anything to make s'mores." Then Wade realised Tobi was silent and was staring at the epicentre of the blast. Following the line of sight he shouted. "OH COME ON! CAN'T YOU GIVE US THIS CUTSCENE VICTORY!!"

On the mountain side bated In a sea of flames a gut wrenching roared filled the entire area. From the melting rocks a green dragon rose, with rage filled eyes honed in on it's targets. Burnt skin and muscles regrew, followed by glistening new scales which soon darkneed.

As its wings flapped away the surrounding flames it took flight once more.

"GOD DAMMIT, IT'S A CHASE SEQUENCE. BOOK IT!" Shouting at Laura, the aircraft's thrusters ignited. The sudden increase in speed and Tobi's crazed struggle whipped the duo around as they tried to escape a raging dragon. As they whipped around Wade caught the sight of the mountain's top and an idea came to mind.

"Wait, assassin girl, go towards the mountain. We're going full Disney princess on this dragon." He received nothing but silence from Laura, snarling Tobi and the hum of the engines. "...Damn, it sure sucks to not have someone to banter with."

Howey walked through the bustling street of New York guiding his little brother Terry through the slightly crowded streets. Thankfully around noon the crowd of panic buyers had thinned. Around Times square there were still some people running around carrying large bags full of stuff and rushing home.

"Move it, move it coming through here!" A large bald man carrying a bag full of canned foods pushed people aside and smashed into a tall man with a buzz cut holding a large set of water bottles.

"You watch it!" The two started pushing and shoving as their stuff fell to the ground. Around them others ignored them but some tried to snatch some. That had not gone unnoticed.

"Get over here wise guy!" The bald man stepped hard on a hand grabbing his canned food and dragged the thief up for a punch.

"Shit another fight, someone call the cops!"

As the fight broke out Howey guided his brother away and made his way back home. Their mother had left to get more medical supplies in the morning when the monsters attacked the city. The police and the heroes around New York worked together and were able to drive them off but still some people were still panicking and stocking up. He and his brother were unlucky enough to be stuck getting groceries for home when it all went down.

After seeing the news from the shop's TV about monsters appearing throughout the world a part of him felt it was the end-times. The sky darkened, the world was shaking and then monster attacks occurred throughout New York. But it was not all doom and gloom, seeing Spiderman saved them. The web head arrived and fought off the monsters, webbing them up and that kept hope alive in the boy.

No matter what that moustache frowning Jameson said Howey believed Spidey was a hero. Still there were still people in full panic mode as they boarded themselves in their homes while others ran to the police or places they felt were safe and he remembered seeing the faces of a neighbour waving goodbye to them as they passed them by on a car packed to the brim with luggage an hour ago.

Howey's family didn't have that option, they had been getting by luckily these past months and did not have anywhere else to go. It wasn't all bad for them, recently his father Bob had gotten a high paying job. It sucked because dad had to live at his super secret job so he wasn't home at all but lots of money was sent home so Howey guessed that was fair. A father's role was to provide for the family after all.

Then the TV screens from nearby shops, smartphones people were holding and the large screens on buildings all froze and started sparking. People started panicking thinking it was another monster attack or something weird happening again. Instead of another attack, the screen displayed a video of an asian looking man in a medical gown strapped to a metal table.

"Brother, it's like that He Man episode where Skletor captured him." Terry spoke up and dragged Howey's arm as he jumped up and down. Excited thinking it was a live action cartoon.

"Subject is regaining consciousness." A robotic female voice came out. The man started to wake up then a horrifying scene followed.

"Administering test 1: 100 joules of electricity"

As electricity filled the room, the man's body started to shift and change. Soon he was clad in grey bone like armour and escaped. While the boys were fascinated at the powers displayed as the man fought his way out through the facility. Others however were horrified at the violence and monster-like qualities of the person called Subject PWXI.

Then it turned into a completely other mess when he met a disfigured patient called Deadpool. The secret organisation called Weapon X, had their secrets blasted throughout the world and everyone with a TV or internet connection knew of their existence. It got worse when the spandex clad assassin girl attacked. All the scientists and higher ups associated with that organisation were forever labelled as perverts by the general public.

"Can someone explain to me why this is still up." In a low but powerful voice, the panicking staff of the shield helicarrier looked anxiously at a bald man in an eye patch.

Eventually a brave technician Cameron Klein stood up and answered. "We have been trying Director Fury, nothing we do is working to cut the connection."

"Then have them be physically pulled down."

"Our operators in the helicarrier and from around the world have reported that there's a barrier up shocking people if they get too close." As if on cue an agent who tried to smash his monitor was flung away by a blue electric barrier. Immediately a nearby medic and other agents rushed to treat the wounded agent.

"So we're stuck watching this?" On the various monitors around the room, the nearly comical and terrifying scene showed PWXI trying to negotiate with Laura. Someone who Fury was surprised existed, already he had sent his agents to apprehend the director of the Weapon plus program Truett Hudson for questioning.

"The boy is either terrible at conversing with girls or the psychic employed in Weapon X half succeeded in making him savage." Vice director Maria Hill spoke dryly as she entered the room.

"Possibly, but his heart seems to be in the right place. With the right training he could be an asset." Even without being there the battle hardened agents in the room could visualise the killing intent in PWXI's red glowing eye. Half his body trying to break out to skewer the assassin. "Any results from my order to apprehend Truett or any of the higher ups of Weapon X."

"No sir, we have not heard from any of our agents who were sent to apprehend the individuals."

"This is a mess, that project was supposed to be decommissioned and now the public and the world knows that there are super powered clones running around."

"At least it can't get any worse sir." Fury's single eye alongside the eyes of everyone in the room glared at Cameron, the technician wilting slightly under the combined gazes.

The wall in the video was busted in a monster barged in. It looked like one of the many unknown monsters that had suddenly appeared across the world. The unknown monster settled its rage filled eyes on PWXI, who recognised it.

"Wait, how the hell is that here!" His startled voice at the sight of the creature gave Fury a mixture of an oncoming headache and hope for answers. "Did someone crossbreed it from the savage lands or crack up a hole in dimensions again."

"Cross reference the name Banbaro in our database, start studying the background in the recording. Find where this facility is located." Turning to Maria Fury kept barking orders. "Get five fully armored squadrons and prepare for a clean up operation. The moment we get the coordinates, storm that base. Leave no stones untruned."

Pointing at a nearby agent Fury ordered "You, look in our database for anything regarding this so-called savage lands."

"Someone get me a line to Reed Richard, we need to know if someone did open a hole another portal."

As the agents and staff got to work, Fury gazed at the screen. His single eye studying the armored youth, a single question echoing in his mind. "Who exactly are you?"

"Your failure has cost us dearly trash."

"It was-" A glare promising death from the ancient man shut Kimura up. The anger shimmering within Romulus made the ugly diagonal scar across his face more pronounced. For the first time in the countless centuries the man was alive he had a scar that would not heal, if he was not so experienced he would have lost an eye in that fight. Adding to the scar, the exposure of the weapon X program ruined decades of planning.

"Normally I would have you killed but that would be a waste to the time and effort we put in you." In a room full of panicking scientists and agents Romulus looked at the monitor displaying the source of the setbacks on his side being thrown around by the monster named Banbaro. The cathartic sight helped ease the pain. "Fail one more time and you will be scrapped."

Giving a fearful nod, Kimura ran away the moment she was dismissed. "What's the progress of transferring our assets?" Glaring at a nearby scientist, the man nearly pissed himself in terror.

"We…. we've relocated the adamantium and various equipment into secure locations."

"Good, any progress in-" Romulus' anger flared once more at sight of Wade Wilson, the failed experiment slashed at the monster with the red Muramasa blade. The anger then died down as he and every scientist focused on PWXI.

Even though it was just a day, Weapon X has captured various monsters that appeared but no matter what they did. They could not decipher the monsters DNA or even extract them as they had done with various mutants. Because of this they sealed all the monsters in secure vaults.

The sight of PWXI creating an armour based on the monster Banbaro by eating its meat changed things. "Contact our German friends, I have a request for them. It's time for them to repay some favours their order has owed me."

"That's the last of them." Dropping the sewer lid back in its place a muscular blonde man in old fashion clothes walked away from a street full of unconscious monsters. All of them were twitching from bullet wounds and blunt force trauma to the head.

"Amazing work, Captain." A short haired half balding man in a smart suit walked closer.

"It's fine for you to call me Steve, Coulson." Beside them armed agents approached the monsters and used strong chains and various equipment to transport them away to a secure place to be studied.

"Ah…very well Steve."

"What's SHIELD's progress in taking down the transmission?" Turning away Steve Rogers, Captain America looked overhead at the TV. The fight between the dragon and the escaped prisoners were escalating with one turning into a miniature berserked form of the dragon.

"Our people are working hard but they can't shut it down or find where it's coming from."

"Keep at it. What's the progress on search and rescue? Our main priority now is to detain any stray monsters and ensure the safety of the civilians." Overhead Quinjets and flew overhead and SHIELD agents descended down onto the street.

"Shield has confirmed that nearly all cities across the states are under control." The agents all saulted to the Captain who pointed them towards where they needed to go.

"What is that mad man doing." On the screen the mad man called Deadpool, dangled himself and a violently struggling PWXI near the dragon. Baiting it and narrowly avoiding being devoured whole by mere inches. Flying towards the mountain to the onlookers it seemed as if they were going to crash the plane.

Then they fired a missile against the mountain triggering an avalanche as the mountain shook causing large sections of it to fall on top of them. Against all odds Deadpool who was restraining PWXI and Weapon X-23 Laura were able to escape the avalanche using jetpacks. The dragon on the other hand was caught in the rock slide due to it's large body and was buried.

"God the damage done to the environment is going to be a nightmare to clean up."

"True, but he stopped the dragon and ensured the safety of his team." However, despite it looking like a clear victory to some. To Steve it looked as if they just bought time, from the shaking grave of the dragon. It was still alive and trying to dig its way out.

"Captain, there's some delay but a quinjet will arrive in a few hours."

"Good, I'm leaving for that destination as soon as it arrives."

(Tobi) Chapter 6: It's a peaceful day for an exposition chapter

"Oh he's waking up"

Blinking tiredly, Tobi tried to bring his right hand up to shield them from the light in whatever place he was in but his hand failed to rise. Something cold and metallic was wrapped around his limbs keeping them in place on his sides. Normally waking up on a soft bed would ease someone but it is not a fun thing to wake up to being chained heavily on a bed. Then wires and other electronic devices attached to a familiar green hourglass like device in your chest.

Leaping away from the bed, spiky bone like armour formed around his body. The wires and metallic bindings were ripped apart and the hourglass symbol sunk back into Tobi's chest as green scaled armour covered it. Boney spikes protruded from his back and feet sinking into the white stone walls.

"Wait wait wait, calm down. You're in a safe place."

A native American looking man in a ponytail spoke up. Dressed in a yellow and blue suit with an X, there were some high tech looking devices around his waist pouch and arms.

"Who are you? Where am I?"

The red lens from the newly formed green scaled helmet shone promising violence.

"My name is Forge and you're safe in the X mansion."

Recognizing the name Tobi relaxed and took a proper look at the room. It had medical equipment and computers, other than Forge there was no one else in the room.

"What happened to Wade and Laura?"

Falling to the white tiled floor, Tobi stood up and slowly walked towards Forge. Despite it being a peaceful place with no enemies, he found himself incapable of dispersing the armoured form.

"Wade is talking with McCoy about his condition while Laura is with Jean."

"Oh, ok then."

Sitting back down on the bed, Tobi relaxed and gazed at the holes he left on the bed and wall.

"Sorry about that. I'm still a bit jumpy after everything happening lately."

"Don't mind it, our rooms get destroyed a lot."

Walking to a nearby table with a large computer, Forge came back and offered Tobi a cup full of some green liquid.

"Here, it's a cup of mineral water. Most of the X men drink this to restore their stamina."

"Thank you, so-"

With some effort the helmet split away sinking back into his skin. As the cool air conditioned air blew past his hair, Tobi gazed at the strange liquid for a moment and feeling no danger from it took a sip. The green liquid was cool and refreshing with a very sweet taste.

"-What's with the wires sticking out my chest before and…. How long has that been stuck in my chest."

That was the Omnitrix symbol, there was no doubt in Tobi's mind that the device on his chest was related to the Omnitrix. An alien device that allowed the user to transform into any sapient lifeform as long as it's DNA was in it's database. That would explain the powers he exhibited but things did not add up, the Omnitrix has never shown to allow the user to take only aspects of things the user ate and partially transform. As far as he knew it did full transformations and combined forms if it was messed with.

"Wait now that I think about it, wasn't there something in the series about a similar device that matched what's been happening? What was it called again, the Unitrix?"

Plus the fact he kept going berserk and attacking people was it due to the device? Was it because it was malfunctioning Azmuth the creator of the Omnitrix would not program such a feature into it. Maybe someone tried to steal it again like usual and tampered with it. That tends to happen in the series mostly from egomaniacal villains who wanted to prove their superior or just plotting galactic conquest..

"That device looks alien to me, far too advanced to be made here on Earth. Even with all the super geniuses and I can't really tell you much about it."

Pulling out a screen from a nearby wall, Forge clicked a button on his wrist.

"Don't worry I'm going to take a very detailed X-ray."

A large mechanical hand came down from the ceiling and spun around Tobi. Shining down a red light on Tobi, instantly the screen came to life displaying various detailed images of Tobi's body. From blood flow, muscle mass with other information too many for Tobi to care off because he just focused on one particular image.

Under his torso, the Omnitrix-like cylinder device was lodged right in the centre and from its base were green circuit-like veins growing throughout his body. A concerning part was how circuit like veins were reaching into his head and surrounding his skull.

"From where your eyes are focusing on, and how you look worried don't be. Your brain is fine."

Pressing the screen, Forge pulled a 3D hologram out and pointed at the device.

"We did some tests well with what we have and from what we can tell. This thing is forcefully bonded to you on a molecular level and we can't remove it without possibly killing you."

"Whatever it is, it's the source of your powers and has two unknown DNA samples in it. So from how you seem to recognise it. Can you tell me what it is or point me towards what I can do to fix so it won't make you go berserk again. From what they told me the rest wants to avoid fighting you.?"

"Wait… what fight?"

"-right now, there is nothing we can do about Logan and his current state. The best we can do is keep him contained in our holding facility and study him and the others till we find a cure."

"I see."

Sitting in the headmaster's Xavier's office, Jeane sat down on a mismatched chair compared to the sturdy expensive looking desk. Normally the professor never needed a matching chair due to his wheelchair so Jean had to make do with the first chair she found in the office. Offering Laura a calming smile. The young clone was seated across her and chewing on some lemon candy, the professor kept for students when they came to visit him… or when he had to call them in to be reprimanded for something.

"So Laura. Would you like to enroll in our institute, we would be happy to take you in."

To the X-men rather than a clone Laura looked more like Wolverine's daughter. So to them she was one of their own and many have already asked Jeane in their group telepathic conversation earlier to convince her to join them.

"I need to save my mother first."

"Your mother, Doctor Sarah Kinney."

Jeane's smile brightened as she pulled out a tablet.

"I have good news for you on our return to the institute, Shield contacted us and they would like to meet you."

"Oh don't worry I discussed with them at length and so it is not to detain you. I will not allow them to take you, we mutants need to look out for one another. They merely want to question you about the facility and information about Weapon X."

"Shield secured Doctor Sarah Kinney and her family"

Turning the tablet over for Laura to see, the image of Doctor Sarah being taken into a quijet was on display.

"With all the chaos going on they were able to reach her first."

Taking the appliance, Laura scrolled through it reading a detailed report by SHIELD of how they apprehended the doctor in a DMV of all places. But upon further investigation by the agents, the DMV housed a smuggling and experimentation facility. It housed various equipment to test for mutants or find subjects with potential for experimentation. Then once captured they ship the people to various Weapon X facilities some of which Laura recognised. Strangely enough it was not owned by Weapon X so a third party was involved which is currently being investigated. Most of the information such as the names of agents and other facts were omitted in the report but it was enough for Laura.

Satisfied with what she read Laura turned to Jean with a small smile and spoke softly. "Thank you."

"Your welcome, I know you're a bit untrusting of the government related organisations as most of us. Professor Xavier was confident we could trust Nick Fury in matters like these, he told us to be wary but we could take their word at face value."

"I see."

"So what do you think of enrolling now? While he's a bit rough once he's cured Logan would be happy to spend time with you."

"James Howlett."

"Pardon?"

"While I can't fully verify it, Tobi was confident that James Howlett was Logan's real name."

"About that, Nick Fury said he would look into it but from what I hear. James Howlett is Logan's real name, they had a very reputable source who remembers serving with Wolverine during World War 2. Still, he's been called Logan for so long I don't think anyone here will start changing what we call him."

"Who's the source? Are they in a secure location?."

"I would not be worried for him, in fact Weapon X will be in more danger if they ever go after him?"

Laura tilted her head slightly in curiosity, who could it be that it would be more dangerous for that underhanded organisation to confront.

"Steve Rogers, Captain America. But after that boradcast people are calling him Weapon One now."

Jean did not pay much attention to social media but from what Kitty and Bobby said. It was on fire as people were discussing the Weapon Plus program in length and the Daily Bugle was publishing new articles demanding the US and Canadian government for illegal inhuman experimentations. So far the government has not issued an official response addressing most of the inquiries other than publicly denouncing Weapon X as a rogue organisation and that they were under investigation by SHIELD.

"Ok, so you really can't read Tobi's memories even with Cerebro?"

"Sadly yes, that device which Roy called the Omnitrix blocks me out normally and we decided not to see how things go if I used Cerebro to enter his mind. Our theory right now is that the Omnitrix could activate when he's in danger and turn him berserk again. It was troublesome calming him down into a normal state last time."

Looking out at the courtyard where various X men and students were using their powers to repair the damage, Jeane's smile turned into a slight frown as she massaged her forehead.

"Just thinking of how much damage the mansion would suffer if we fight another miniature berserk monster is something I rather avoid."

"I see, I-"

"Like Bea Arthur said. Life is full of a lot of stuff, you know there is never a dull moment."

Pushing a cart with trays full of pancakes, Wade dressed in a modified red and black X men uniform entered Tobi's medical room. "She has never been more right with whatever the hell you two are doing."

"Oh…Hi Wilson, we're trying to activate the…Unitrix right?"

Tobi's voice held a threatening edge.

"...Yes."

A nervous Forge gathered his wits and answered.

"We're trying to activate it's A.I so it fixes itself but turns out there's another AI program added in alongside other things and that seems to be the prime source of the malfunctions."

"Ok thanks for simplifying the nerd talk. But still why the fuck are you threatning the nerd with a giant drill."

In the middle of the room, Tobi held a giant bone drill towards Forge's neck who was pinned against a wall. In the mechanic's hands was a giant syringe with glowing blue liquid inside the clear cylinder. The edge of the syringe shimmered under the room's light.

"And you from which demented nightmarish hospital did you pull that syringe out of. Your going to traumatise any- wait scratch that even without trypanophobia they're going to get traumatised."

"His skin is too hard for a normal one and he was having problems putting it away so I brought in this one from storage."

Slowly Tobi backed off, dark red eyes never leaving the syringe.

"He's got a looser hair trigger then a coked up squirrel, what did you think was going to happen."

Warringly walking away, Forge placed the syringe on a desk far away from Tobi and stepped away from it.

"I thought that after fixing the signal that drives others and him berserk it would not happen."

Wondering what other treatment would work, Forge typed away at a computer and messaged Professor Hank and Roy.

"Never underestimate the fear of needles and what people do to avoid shots."

Putting down the stacks of pancakes Wade looked at Tobi.

"I take it you had a bad experience with needles growing up.."

"Yes.... twitchy new intern kept missing the right vein and they held me down,"

Sitting down on his bed, Tobi eyed the steaming pancakes. The butter melts on top, allowing it to mix with the maple syrup. "Wait speaking of drugged up squirrels, has the drug addict that fed and trained a squirrel to attack people's genitals been arrested yet?

While Forge looked at him with a confused expression, Wade on the other hand was ecstatic.

"Wait, you're telling me someone trained a squirrel with cold hard drugs to attack men's balls."

"Yes."

"We must find and recruit this man immediately. With a power like that no one can stop us!!"

"But… ain't that villain thing to do. Plus I don't really remember his name."

"CURSE YOU UNIVERSE!!"

Crying on the floor, Wade pounded it in frustration. "It was too much power for us to have, that's why it was taken away. No foe would be able to withstand an army or coked up squirrels attack them."

"...I mean we could just find someone that can talk to squirrels then train them with drugs or something. Wait… I think I remember the weapon plus program making a squirrel with Wolverine's powers adamantium and all."

"So you're telling me that there is a super powered squirrel running around."
Deadpool looked up from the floor, a serious look in his eyes… Well they couldn't really be seen due to the mask but the two people in the room could tell he was serious.

"Yes, it's one of the Weapon Two projects."

Sadly it was never given a name but maybe it's already named itself. The scientists in charge of Weapon Two somehow gave it human level intelligence.

"We need to recruit it immedeintly. Our enemies shall tremble in fear with Chopper's power on our side!"

As the two got into a conversation of where to find the newly named animal Chopper. It then devolved into a plot of bribing Victor Von Doom with his mother's soul in hell to upgrade Cerebro. Then as a contingency plan with getting Reed Richards to counter Doctor Doom and getting someone called Doctor Stepehn Strange in case the devil gets pissed and comes after their souls.

"Hank, I need your help. Please hurry. I need another sane person in the room."

Wow, this story is very good, I honestly have no complaints about it. Great job you two. This story really deserve a lot more comments and attention than what it's been getting. (To all of you who may complain about necro: there isn't necro in sufficient velocity, go to spacebattles to complain about that crap.)

This story was added to the self insert archive "Sufficiently Inserted V2" a while ago, while scrolling through the relatively recent additions I stumbled across it. It was a happy coincidence, as I really liked the story.

Went on an accidental Picture Binge

---

An Hour Before…

Not a moment to lose there was a loosely gathered team of Mutants and Heroes, Forge stayed behind working on the cages, they managed to grab Iceman, the others weren't in the vicinity or simply out of commission.

Kitty asked as they ran outside, "How are we going to get there? The plane is smashed only Roy and Jessica can fly. Jean and I can sort of float."

Roy considered that for a moment, "...I've got an idea."

---

Kitty complained as she shivered within the plane ice construct, "We should've brought blankets," Roy shrugged.

Jessica said as she held it up not feeling well, "Sorry, blame robot man." She was starting to get airsick again flying for so long, closing her eyes and just focused on the air around her, it stopped her churning gut momentarily but she wasn't going to be able to make the return trip back without some rest.

"Throwing me under the bus I see." Roy lamented, from behind the construct giving it thrust.

Iceman had created an ice construct at Roy's request for the three to be in comfortably. While it kept out the fridge air from the high altitude, the seats weren't the warmest so they had to stand. Iceman held the construct together best he could and Jean provided warmth with her pyrokinesis, it strained her a lot to do so so they were moderately warm then cold again.

They went much faster than he expected, Roy initially felt the entire thing was going to fall apart but was surprised it held under the high speed conditions. Rushing towards the area as Jean laid out the information she had gotten from Cerebro.

Even with the wing in their ears they didn't have much trouble hearing her. Roy considered Jessica likely also had super senses, she did seem to have the basic supergirl grab bag of powers minus the eye lasers. He seemed to have similar abilities minus the flight, it made sense in a way because it explained why he could hold up giant dragon wings with his physiology, they had to weigh at minimum a few hundred kilograms or few tons.

Jean explained, "There were three people in trouble. Two were mutants and the third was human but his voice changed and he became more… animalistic?"

"His voice?"

"With Cerebro the experience is different for each telepath and sometimes it changes but when using it people sound like voices to me and whatever is at the most forefront of their minds I can hear."

"...You can't read any further right?" Jessica asked. It was just starting to hit her the implications of how versatile telepaths were. Kilgrave gave a bad name to telepaths whether he was one or not didn't apply. Jessica knew Jean was nice, but privacy was still privacy. It made her wish she had thought of asking about this before getting those psychic defenses, hoping she didn't see any of her memories.

"I need to have intense concentration and the person can't be actively pushing, if someone has a strong will they can throw me off. Besides that, I don't like entering people's mind without their permission anyways or if they're like Magneto and borderline nuts. It's more useful as a sensor ability and guessing people's intentions." Jean seemed sheepish, "Still I'm sorry if I end up reading anything you don't want me to know, people's surface thoughts are fairly noisy so it's impossible at times not to know."

Roy questioned, "Did you catch what they're names were?" referring to the three in trouble.

"Wade Wilson, ex-military cancer patient who volunteered for an experiment, he's...sort of a mutant."

"Sort of?"

"It's almost like he is a mutant but somehow not."

"So what he's Schrodinger's cat?" Kitty said.

"No, his ability is healing a lot like Logan really…" she shook her head, "He wasn't the only one, there's a teenager with them with the same mutant gene."

"Was her name Laura Kinney?" Roy frowned when Jean nodded. He considered what he knew about her, 'I remember Laura having escaped after trashing the facility and killing her mother but that was all a solo origin. Deadpool never had a hand in its destruction, so was Wade hired in this universe to help her or had she helped him? I don't remember them going through the experiment at the same time much less in the same place.'

"I'm surprised Cerebro could figure all that out."

"It's a relatively good measure of checking if someone has the gene but not the specifics of what the gene is or does. Which is why this Wade Wilson flashed between them, it could be a glitch and it's actually only picking up one person and confusing the other."

He asked, "Who was the third?"

"Someone named- We're here!" Jean said. She pointed to the wreckage below, a mess of forest, and flying branches.

Taking the plane in low and a fair distance from the brawl, Kitty simply slipped through the plane once it got low enough Jean and Iceman walked out from the ramp Iceman made.

Keeping their distance they spotted Wolverine, the now multi-ton monster, roaring causing the trees to flatten and rip the branches off others. They saw a smaller form in complete bone armour shout in turn, it was less dangerous but no less fierce. The entire landing was trashed as the two went at each other, to be more accurate it mostly consisted of the bone knight being tossed around like a rag doll.

Staring at the large cat monster toying with the spiky bone man. Roy wondered for a moment when his life took such a turn towards the weird. He didn't remember much of how he got here, but his life before this was not this crazy, the worst obstacle might've been insomnia.

The Bone Knight Berserker went soaring over the treeline and into the forest where Wolverine fired on him bone missiles ripping through the bark and branches as wood splintered and grinded in fine wood dust.

"Not even a day and I've fought a dragon, five mutated X-Men and mounted a Rescue Op for mutants in trouble…."

Iceman went to attack the mutated X-Men when Roy stopped him, "Where are the other two?"

Jean put a hand to her temple, her eyebrows shot high and she looked up. Slowly hovering to the ground were Deadpool and Laura wearing jetpacks.

Deadpool and a girl with black hair whipping around her floated down with jetpacks.

Deadpool squealed like a little girl who learned she had won a lifetime supply of sugar, "It's the X-Men! Laura we gotta ask if they're still recruiting, gotta get it while it's hot!"

Iceman said, "Wade Wi-"

"Uh uh uh! X nay on the secret names eh! Gotta maintain my secret identity, it creates mystery which the ladies love!"

Roy nodded. He clearly knew what he was talking about.

Kitty pointed to the disappearing treeline, "Uh guys? Shouldn't we help?"

"We will, first," Roy stalked upto him menacingly, and asked the important questions, "Deadpool my man, can I get an autograph?"

Kitty glanced at him, "You know him?"

"He's a hero, mercenary, with regeneration powers and an all around funny guy. But no."

"Anything for my fan! Who do I make this out to?"

"Still working on a name Raiden doesn't seem horrible."

"Ah a classic, good ol' Metal Gear Revengeance, I got these katana blades as a momento from that game y'know."

"Really?"

"Swear it on my grandmother's deathbed."

Kitty said, "Uh, guys?" Pointing to the devastation being caused by the two in the background, "Priorities?"

Roy said, "These are priorities. Ah thanks DP."

"No Problem."

Kitty asked Laura, "Is he always like this?"

"Is yours?" Laura raised an eyebrow in monotone.

"He wasn't when he was fighting in the X-Mansion."

Roy put away the autograph, "Alright now let's go."

Kitty pointed, "Jessica, Jean and Iceman already went after it." They saw the brown haired heroine running ahead right after Jean Grey and Iceman.

"Ah, can't let them have all the fun!" Roy felt a lot more enthusiastic after meeting Deadpool he always had a habit of absorbing the maniac energy in the room no matter how small, sometimes not even requiring it. He grabbed the three near him and pulled ahead .

"So who's the Bone Knight?"

Deadpool snickered, "Tobi, he went nuts after seeing the giant DnD reject." referring to Wolverine.

Roy frowned, he immediately thought of Tobi from Naruto but shook it off as there was no way it could be him. Though the weird bone things were pretty similar to wooden spikes and branches Tobi from Naruto could pull out from nowhere when he went crazy that one time because your closest friend killing your other close friend as a war orphan would do that.

Iceman had made a large barrier to cover himself and that's pretty much all he could focus on with the barrage of bones Wolverine was firing, they were tearing through his shield with ease only just barely being stopped. Jessica launched herself landing a solid right hook before Wolverine spun on the spot, lashing out with a limb, the impact stronger than anything they had expected, sending her flying into unconsciousness before firing on her.

Roy dropped Kitty, Laura and Deadpool and flew after an unconscious Jessica getting her out of the way before she was killed. Her battered body signifying the Bone Knight- Tobi was ridiculously durable to have survived Wolverine for so long, Jessica who was basically a weaker supergirl was bleeding in his arms. Thankfully most of it was superficial and looked worse than it actually was.

Kitty held Jean and the two made their way over as Jean got close enough to use her psychic abilities to at least calm one of them down.

Laura and Deadpool tried to join the fight but neither could dodge all the projectiles and were almost immediately taken out of commission. They retreated back behind the ice barrier Iceman was growing.

Without any superhuman qualities they weren't going to be able to get closer, professional martial arts skills and olympic gymnast moves in Laura's case withstanding. Dead- "Hey! I'll have you know I can boogie with the best of em!"-pool couldn't even dodge right.

Roy took positing behind the barrier not keen on testing his endurance.

Jessica woke up abruptly grabbing her head, "Ugh what hit me."

"You alright?" a concerned Roy asked.

"Just give me a minute."

"I thought the accident made you super durable too?"

"Accident?" She didn't realize what he was talking about.

Roy blinked, "The accident which is where you got your powers?"

Her eyes widened as it dawned on Jessica what it meant for him to know about her origin, she knew that peripherally but it didn't really register. He was helping her a lot, and Kilgrave took up most of her worries earlier, and to a degree she was fine with it, because it wasn't like she could control it.

She was blaming the Jet Dragon for her lapses, today was weird. "It did but I'm not invincible." She pointed at his nose, "And. You and I are going to talk." She winced and closed her eyes, "Right after the world stops spinning."

"Sure." He wasn't exactly against it, "Disclaimer not saying I know everything so I can't make you famous or tell you the future. But that's for later." She nodded.

Roy turned his head to Deadpool, "Any ideas?"

Deadpool pulled out a rocket launcher, "My little friend wants to say ello."

Roy stared, "Where were you hiding that-"

"It's a compact miniature RPG, state of the art." smacking the arm of the weapon, "This baby can fire multi shots for about ten minutes."

"That's ridiculous."

"I know I almost cam-"

"Let's keep this PG."

"I swear you're worse than those Disney execs."

"Right anyways," Roy proposed, "We'll distract it, DP and I can fire at it and when you're good Jessica, can you still fight?"

"Yeah." She was shaking herself off.

Roy really didn't want her going in, seeing her get hurt and step a little closer to death really shifted how durable he saw her. He kind of wanted to whip up armour for everyone here, it was playing havoc on his senses to have people run out there without any protection especially when they looked so normal.

He shook it off, there was a time and place she was stronger than him, deadpool could regenerate and Iceman was immune to physical damage.

"When Wolverine's not paying attention, fly in with a finite mass punch."

"A what?"

"Just fly really fast and punch with the momentum."

"Ah, got it."

After hashing out the plans a little more and Wolverine having gotten bored with them or simply hated Tobi more, it turned its attention towards the bone man.

"Break!" Roy shouted.

The group split immediately running behind the cover of broken trees, and Wolverine made his way to where Tobi was alongside the girls. Jean hadn't gotten much success with telepathy but a soothing voice helped calm the Tobi down registering to rationality somehow.

The group knew they couldn't let the two meet or the fight would break out again.

Breaking out his Dragon Wings he stuck to two in the ground as stabilizers and charged up the four of them. There was the taste of Ozone and something tangy and he touched the feeling, within him something changed and felt the switch. Instead of a stronger blue flamethrower like he had expected, instead there was a glow of red and a resounding boom.

It echoed against the mountain side he fell to his knees drained of energy and exhausted.

"What the S-"

"Language Deadpool."

"I will swear whenever I mutha-" making too much noise he was punted by the berserk Tobi into the trees.

---

Iceman froze Wolverine's legs when he had a chance and dropped a snow cloud on him, Jessica rocketed towards Wolverine causing serious head damage and dazed it further bordering on unconsciousness for a few minutes as the ground was gouged out by her impact. Roy almost felt bad but knew he would recover and took the distraction to slam his palms on Wolverine and shut him down. It wasn't immediate taking a few minutes.

Tobi punched Kitty and Jean, his arm enveloped in a large bone drill when Roy shot him with the Dragon Wings before he could stab downwards.

Roy's eyes widened having seen a green and black symbol on his chest, 'Was that the Omnitrix? The hell is up with this world!?'

"Well that was fun."

The Iceman exhausted said, "You and I have very different definitions of fun."

And so the SIs meet. The unstoppable force and the immovable object are together at last. I can't wait for the mutual epiphany they will get when they figure out what each other are. Anyways, great chapter and epic battle. Also, two questions about Tobi's powers: does Tobi's ability to become what he is only limited to organic matter or can he consume non-organic materials as well? If he can then consuming a small amount of bio-compatible metal (metals that the human body does not reject, usually used fir prosthetics and bone braces) he could create a more powerful bio-armor, or maybe even imitate Alex Mercer's metallic bio-weapons. Question 2: Tobi's powers look like the bastard child of SCP 682 and Alex Mercer from prototype, what with his ability to adapt to harmful stimuli and assimilating what he eats, however his power also seems weaker than both of those beings powers, which is fine since both Alex and 682 get exponentially stronger the more challenge they experience which prompts adaptation and evolution and that would be too OP to start with even for the Marvel universe. Anyways back on track: Does Tobi keep the positive effects of whatever he consumes or are his current adaptation replaced by whatever he eats? Or more simply, if he ate an octopus, but later a dragon, does he keep the octopus adaptations along with the dragon's or does the dragon replace the octopus until he eats octopus again, which will then replace the dragon? (Sorry for the overly long question, it was hard for me to put it into words)

To answer your questions.

1. If he had eaten or gained the ability to eat inorganic things he will be able to. Right now it's limited to organic and even then the first things he ate were all cooked so he was able to eat and gain abilities easily. Then the first boss fight happened and his abilities kicked into overdrive to be able to make things out of Banbaro. Right now at the end of the last chapter, he should be able to eat biocompatible metal but only when he's in that state he was when he went up against the dragon.

2. Originally I wanted to take Alex Mercer's abilities or make something similar but we had an escalation problem. Then when my co-writer talked about how his character's abilities were like Generator Rex my mind eventually went to Hereos unite and that's how Tobi turned out the way he is. Right now he still has an escalation problem which I wanted to avoid in marvel but there is now a control mechanism for escalation and a legit reason for it to happen which will be explained more in the next chapters. Yes, anything he eats is forever stored for him to use later and he can combine them. But...it's kinda like Sun-Eater from Hero Academia in a way. Tobi won't need to eat constantly to have different powers but right now he does need to eat to store up calories to use them.

But to sum it up without spoiling much of the story. His abilities need something to prompt their growth either through him eating something to gain abilities or being forced into a life or death situation where he is forced to evolve rapidly to survive.

Also, don't worry about asking long questions. I'm just glad people like to read out stories.

Ah, i see. So his "main weakness" would be the ridiculous amounts of food needed to fuel his power whenever it's active, he really lucked out with the cafeteria in the facility, otherwise he might have turned cannibal or been killed due to his refusal to eat depending on if his will was stronger than his hunger. Then again another thing he could do to solve this is to eat something like a caterpillar and gain the ability to eat leaves from random plant life it would be a good fallback for whenever he doesn't have food for his powers.

Yep, he really lucked out. When it first activated his powers made him repurpose parts of his body and modified it to get more powerful to break out. Being a cannibal is not a heroic first start and the organization can use that info to blackmail him or get other heroes to attack him. His will power will play a huge role in making sure he keeps it that way when he's really pushed to the limit.

Speaking of plant life he can straight up eat trees right now but...he won't be thinking of it since trees don't taste good for humans. Right now he has eaten herbivore animals but he's more likely to use a moose horn to attack and impale than its teeth to eat plants. Mostly because he has not thought about it and he's human. Even if he took a bite out of a monster that was kinda for survival, he likes cooked food more.
