Damn. Missed out on the voting.

Someone may have pointed this out but being in the Warhammer 40k Universe, would the Hulk's connection severed from 'The One Below All?'

I'm considering putting this quest on hiatus for now, as I don't have the time, energy or interest to continue it. I dislike disappointing people, but I dislike working on something I don't want to even more.

Instead I want to start a smaller quest, either a riot god quest or an experimental quest inspired by idle games.

Thoughts?

It's sad to hear it'll be discontinued until further notice, but that's just the way of things. I always approve and look forward to more RGQs, and wouldn't mind seeing another one.

I think I will like the incremental game quest better as I don't tend to like riot god quests.

Da Mad Git
For a short while the Hulk explored the caves, simply wandering about and watching the orks and gretchin. He saw that the caves themselves were not natural, or had at the very least been expanded. There were a few rooms being expanded, and a new tunnel being dug. Gretchin with rocks or bug bones chipped away at the walls, sometimes joined by orks that often used their own fists instead of any tool. Apart from the entrance area, there were only a small handful of rooms. One was some kind of throne room, with a "chair" made from bones against one wall. Grob was there, sitting on a rock just beside the throne, giving out orders. Hulk moved on before the gretchin could spot him.

Another larger cave was filled with orks performing what passed as social activities; telling stories, playing some kind of dice-like game with knucklebones, and fighting. The one next to that was filled with ork bodies piled up; Hulk first thought they were dead, but they were actually sleeping. There were also two storage rooms, one for raw resources like bones and leather, and one filled with bug corpses. Mostly gretchin were in those two rooms, although there was one ork crudely taking apart one of the larger bugs with a stone knife. Again, Hulk moved on before he could be spotted.

Finally Hulk found something interesting. When he was walking past an unfinished and seemingly abandoned excavation, Hulk heard someone muttering rapidly to themselves. Looking down the tunnel, Hulk saw it was a lone ork, naked, curled up into a ball. He managed to hear some of what they were saying; "Mork says ee's brutal and Gork says ee's kunnin, but can ee be both? Iz he gunna be da basha, or da git 'oldin da basha? Brainy boy locked up good and propra, but 'ow long is dat gonna last…"

Despite fearsome appearance and nature, Hulk was capable of concern, and seeing such a pathetic display touched something in him. Walking into the tunnel, he knelt down a few feet from the ork. "You okay?", he asked carefully.

The ork fell silent. Then they began to slowly turn their head, until Hulk could see a wide eye between the arms clutching the head. It was sparking with green light. "Youz… da Green but not Green. Da Green dat turns Green, makes Green Greener-er."

"...okay?" Hulk said, feeling worried. He wondered if this ork was on drugs. "Do you need a hand…" he reached out one thick hand, and the ork untangled one of his own to reach back. The two green appendages were coming close to each other, just a fingers length apart… when a single bolt of green lighting jumped from the ork's dirty fingers to Hulk's own.

Instantly, Hulk felt his entire body burn, and despite sitting down his vision spun. He tried to rear back, but stood up too fast and slammed his head on the tunnel's rough cleaning, causing him to drop once more. As green stars danced in his eyes, Hulk felt himself slip away, and he saw…

What does the Hulk see?

I'm back, ya gits! Feel a bit inspired and I have some free time, so I decided to start this up again. Can't promise updates will be consistent, but hopefully I will be able to get this all done!

[X] The Face(s) Of The Enemy

I sure wasn't expecting to see this Quest around again, but I am pleasantly surprised it is!

I presume the weird ork was talking about Bruce being locked in Hulk's head but as we know, their meeting is gonna come sooner than we thought it would.
