Just some things I found weird. Not from the story, I think that's logical from what I've understood so far.
So far we've seen that he has three main motivations.
1) He wants independence
2) He wants money
3) He wants to be entertained (the thing we discovered this chapter)
Obviously, this includes living, but that's every character's motivation. We already know from the beginning that he doesn't really have the best moral compass, so he doesn't mind doing illegal stuff, but like his adoptive father, being a bad guy doesn't mean you're a dick. (I really wanted to say being a bad guy doesn't mean you're a 'bad' guy, but that wouldn't explain what I meant exactly.)
Firstly from his point of view, he's only a bit more powerful than a normal person (compared to the difference between Superman and a normal person I mean), and he has a limited regenerative ability. Now I don't know if that's his limit since he is only half-alien (forgot Lobo's species) or since he's still growing. Either way, he's not powerful enough to blow a guys head off by accident.
The only weird thing I even found from the story so far is that he even hit the henchman. This lies with his motivations. People have been calling what he's doing stupid, but I think it's the opposite. If you've attracted a Coil(Worm) like villain's attention then obviously if you ignore them, they're going to cause bad things to happen to you. Like the henchman admitted in this chapter, the boss was planning multiple ways to blackmail the mc into joining him.
But why would the main character not agree to this? He doesn't mind doing illegal stuff, he wants money, wants independence, and wants to have a challenge. This deal meets everything he wants.
If he became a hero then yeah, he would have fun, but the problem is, this isn't like worm where you can steal the villain's money, or get paid by the government. You have to have a job to support yourself as well, and he isn't an adult, so he would get sent to the orphanage again since he isn't making money to be independent. This doesn't even take into account the sabotage that the boss guy could do to the main character.
He could make the populace think he's a villain by staging something, and then he'd be treated like a villain.
Plus, how would he even take down the boss guy? We don't even know if he's strong enough yet to take a bullet. His arm was bitten, and yeah that lizard guy's enhanced, but I don't think his bite is stronger than the piercing power of a bullet.
If he goes against this villain, he will most likely be killed, but why would he even do that? Cause the henchman was being an asshole? Yeah, that's totally the smart thing to do, and get an entire organization after your head. Sorry for both the long rant and the last line paragraph here, just annoyed at how many people think heroics is a smart move based on what we know about this guy so far.
