Were Satsuki not in a rush to get to school, she may've murmured about how she didn't think 'consequences' was a word in Mira's dictionary.
Indeed

[X] If this person was at school, they should keep an eye out for who it might be, then both meet them.

Better to be cautious, but meet them on their terms, for now at least. But figuring out who it is we are dealing with would go a long way.

Regardless of however that meeting goes, taking care of the inugami properly later is still something to keep in mind for our to-do list. I also wonder if the car pileup and fight will make it into the news; I hope nobody driving got seriously injured.

I heard on another thread that if you embed a music clip, it's better to do so in spoilers so to minimise the space you take up. I was worried that people would think the music was a spoiler when it's not, but labelling the spoiler tag and having them be all consistently music embeds in-story could solve said confusion. Be interested to know people's thought on this either way

As for me, online university starts back up today, funnily enough while I'm still in lockdown (the first week back tends to be pretty casual, so not that big a problem)

If it is something you feel adds to the scene in a significant way, I would advise either leaving it unspoiled at the top of the post, or spoilered between paragraphs where you would want it to begin playing, so that it is noticeable but not too obtrusive.

On the lookout! One mystery for another

"'False Precures'. Kinda sounds like whoever wrote this thinks they're the real deal," Satsuki muttered.

"Oh perish the thought! That Archimedea insists we're illegit is but more proof of their own ego," Mira said without self-reflection.

"Well, my point was not what we are, but what whoever this is thinks," Satsuki said, "because that might narrow down our list of suspects. It'd be another girl 'cause they said the last one was a Huntress, right?"
Would it? she thought. Satsuki had just defaulted to a 'PreCure' being female because, well, so was the only other Cure she knew. It made her stop to think what a PreCure even was, beyond a transforming warrior anyway.

"Hmm, as good a lead as any," Mira said, not contradicting Satsuki in that regard.

"Hey, I've got Naginata practice today, so I'll keep an eye out there while you- er, while you..." Satsuki stumbled over her words. Did Mira really have a social circle at school beyond her? Closest thing was the Orchestra, but even there they hadn't done anything more than audition yet, and wasn't even on today. "While you keep your own look out," she defaulted to.

Sitting in Literature class, Satsuki listened with an ear open to Ms. Ugetsu's lecture that day, a basic introduction to Renaissance-era writing. Though this time, Satsuki's scrutiny wasn't for anything that could be on a later test, but for her teacher to let any telltale talk of 'heroes' or maybe 'fakes and impostors' slip off her tongue. But no, no such talk, like not even calling one author a 'personal hero' or suchlike.
And of course, even if she did it's not like it'd be a giveaway, but Satsuki would take any lead she could get.

As for her other teachers, Ms. Jingu today was talking about the mid-Heian era, so not much in the way of 'heroes' to namedrop other than maybe Masakado further along. And it wasn't like hearing Mr. Uzuki emphasise any certain numbers Archimedea had used would be a giveaway. 1,2,8, and even 15 showed up everywhere in maths after all. Maybe if he for some reason made a comment about 15 being Phosphorous's atomic number that would've set off her alert, but it wasn't like this was even the right class.

All this time though, there was always Rinko, sitting there, right next to her. What, no, it couldn't be Rinko, Satsuki thought. How could you say you're a PreCure after getting turned into a monster like that by Archimedea? Or if you're working for Archimedea, they wouldn't just turn their precious PreCure into a monster like that right away... would they?

While heading along the corridors later on, Satsuki again ran into Goichi, and had some definite questions to ask him this time.
"Oh hey, Goichi!" she started with a laugh, then played her gambit, "Hey, the weirdest thing happened to me after you left last night, you wouldn't guess."

Goichi twitched for a second, but then chuckled in return. "Why, no I wouldn't, the rest of my own night wasn't exactly eventful," he said.

"Oh, someone threw a hospital blood-bag up into my window, that's all," Satsuki said, smiling like it was nothing. "Thought of Ichiya at first, it's not like we've talked much lately."

"I see," Goichi took that in. Seconds passed, but he then came to confess, "That was me, actually."

Those were the words Satsuki had been expecting, but she still had to stop to take them in, especially since she didn't think this was going to be that easy. Okay, focus. This only solve one mystery, still no leads on who sent that letter.
"It was?" Satsuki asked on prompt, before she took a step back and said, "Guess I wasn't that good at hiding it."

"Hiding being a vampire?" Goichi straight-up said.

Satsuki blushed bright red, then managed to ask, "It was after I turned back from a bat out in the courtyard, wasn't it? No wait, you wouldn't have had time to go get a blood-bag if that was the case."

"That's because I already had an inkling," Goichi said. "Probably as far back as that you were in hospital, where I saw you all covered in blood. Anyway, you don't still have some blood left in that bag, do you?"

"...No, of course not, I never-" she began to say, but then froze. Goichi had suddenly pulled out a knife had with it pricked his finger. "Goichi, what the hell?" Satsuki then asked.

"You can't walk around without blood, can you? I mean, bad enough we're already making you come to school during the daytime," Goichi said, and just had to smile. "Don't worry, I'm not asking you to bite me, just that it's okay if you use my own blood for nourishment. I imagine it's not easy to come by elsewise."

Satsuki tried to object, but smelling human blood right in front of her, she had to stop herself from taking a step forward. If it's just a drop of blood- n-no, I can't have just thought that!
"The answer's no!" she shouted, swatting Goichi's hand away. "Y-you think this is funny?!"

The two then felt the eyes of everyone in the corridor on them. The way this was going, it wasn't just Goichi who risked finding out.

Goichi, having slipped that knife back into his pocket before anyone got a glimpse, then took a step forward and hissed in Satsuki's ear, "I was only trying to help."

"I've got an alternative already," Satsuki told him below her breath, "Vampires have these things called Bloodfruits, that's why I was all stained that day in hospital."

"And just how many are there of these 'Bloodfruits'?" Goichi asked, before he walked away after Satsuki genuinely couldn't answer. Mira had never exactly told her how much she had in stock.

F-Forget it. I've got Naginata Club coming up, I should focus on that, Satsuki thought, as she tried to get her mind off... whatever the hell just happened. Especially what she could do to determine if either Shiori or Konata had been the ones who'd sent her that note this morning:

[ ] She'd cut to it by asking their thoughts on vampires.
[ ] She'd try dropping keywords from the letter, see if either started acting weird.
[ ] She'd rifle through their belongings, just had to be careful to not get caught.
[ ] She'd just go through Club as normal, and wait for any hints to give themselves away
[ ] Write-in

Normally I'd vote for the "go through the motions as usual with both eyes open" option, but this is PreCure. It's either this or rifling through their belongings, and the latter is a little too much escalation for me. :V

Well, he at least seems well-intentioned.

For now.

Maybe we should recruit Goichi as Mira's cook he seems passionate about us eating well.

What can I say, I'm just a blunt person like that.

So, he hasn't set off enough warning bells to deserve an outright comparison, but it never hurts to be vigilant. Is Goichi into theater?

So a while back I talked a little about ideas I had for other PreCure fan-seasons in this post here. I said I had a couple others in mind, if less developed ones, so I figured I should talk about them before I forget:

1. Given the brightness of Tropical Rouge PreCure, I got to wondering about the opposite, a very winter-y, snow and ice PreCure. Obviously it'd be set in a snowy town, up in the mountains and/or to the north, which are in no short supply in Japan (at present anyway).

I came up with quite good handful of possible PreCure names, such as Cure Snowball, Frost, Winter, Aurora, Penguin, Zero, Freeze, Chill, Bauble, Jingle, Reindeer, Carol, Cocoa (since we already have Chocolat), and Carrot (as in a snowman's nose). While we've had figure-skater Cures, skiing and snowboarding would also be cool (heh) to see incorporated into Cure fights and if not the name for a Cure then a Reindeer could easily be a Fairy

Had several ideas for potential villains, from whether they'd embody the worse parts of winter like cold, darkness, and misery, or if they'd instead be fire and heat-based for contrast. You may think 'Why not both?' but eh that might be a bit too close to GoGo Sentai Boukenger (Power Rangers Operation Overdrive). The idea of heat and melting though has also got me thinking of the villains having been trapped in ice but then defrosted, like The Blob or prehistoric animals

Like how Tropical Rouge references The Little Mermaid, a winter-themed PreCure would probably reference The Snow Queen, and cursed mirror shards turning people's hearts cold definitely sounds like a PreCure way to spawn Monsters of the Week. I've thought of names for them like Hyorei ('Ice Cold'), Kogoe-soda ('I'm Freezing'), or Hiyasu ('Cool it!'), not sure how accurate these translations are though

2. A History-themed PreCure, like above I'm not really sure of a title for this one yet. This may sound similar to Hugtto, but the main difference is it'd revolve around historical and legendary figures, rather than just the past in general.

Each Monster of the Week would be based on a certain person from history whether formed from a transformed item connected to that person, or even a person with similar traits to that figure. While the obvious comparison may be Fate/, I was actually thinking more Kamen Rider Ghost, especially since I doubt people will care if I borrow that much from KR Ghost. Also, a bunch of historical figure-themed monsters sucking up the energy of civilians could work as a metaphor for Great Men getting the credit for the support of the masses. MotW names could be Fuseikaku ('inaccurate')

Don't have any ideas for Cure names as of yet, though I guess none of the Hugtto Cures' names (save one spoiler-y one) were related to time or history. The villain organisation behind the monsters could be a Museum though, and a 'historical' town like with my Samurai Cure idea could be a natural setting

3. The popularity of Cure Peace from Smile PreCure got me thinking about a whole season themed around manga, where the main PreCures could be an artist, writer, and assistants. The Monsters of the Week could be other manga, or at least characters from said manga, that become 'corrupted' as a metaphor for mangaka being overworked. The monsters' names being art-related like say Mezawari ('eyesore'), though that name may work better for a general art-themed Cure season.
Yeah, maybe not too much to say yet on this one
