From what I've heard- mind, this is just hearsay- you'll get banned for posting in these threads as proof that you're supporting the OP. Voting probably directly contributes to supporting the quest, which means you get banned. Even if the quest is potentially genuine, as long as it's in the crosshairs, you have the potential of getting banned/infracted by association. So I'd just be careful posting.

I think anyone and everyone posting in this thread will get suspended for participating in an unfunny meme.

Regardless, I think the actual metric ton of drama surrounding the medium is amazing and terrifying. I want to watch this Quest to see what the moderation will do with it. I'd be genuinely surprised if they leave it to breathe, and even more so if the OP decided to continue it afterward.

Honestly, I'd much prefer the mock threads just stopped. The first might have gotten a chuckle out of some people before their suspensions, but if this is gonna become a running thing, I'd rather see it get killed early before the immature run rampant with it.

Look, just give it a chance? You don't exactly know where the author's going, you don't know what the plan is for this quest, so please, allow the author at least a chance to try and make this a fun quest? Look, I understand why the disclaimer might be off-putting, but it's a joke about current events on the forum. While this quest might end up being a one-off joke thread(which I hope it isn't), it also might actually be serious, and just have included the disclaimer as a joke to start off the quest.

So, actual Quest discussion, I feel that Brian would be a nice choice for this because of the way that he's described. The by the books, police officer finding love and solving crimes. Seems like a pretty romantic figure, no? (Of course, this may just be because I recently watched Turner and Hooch, and absolutely loved Tom Hanks in it, even though the movie was pretty mediocre.)

To clarify, the author of the originating quest, Evenstar, actually dropped in and admitted that they found Redshirt's quest legitimately hilarious. I don't think they asked for or required an apology, although it was made clear that Evenstar was not in fact or ever a target of deliberate mockery on Redshirt's part.
